Meet the world's richest footballer: And its not Ronaldo or Messi?
Meet the world's richest footballer: Faiq Bolkiah plays for Leicester City and is the nephew of the Sultan of Brunei.
Meet the world's richest footballer: Faiq Bolkiah plays for Leicester City and is the nephew of the Sultan of Brunei.
On his 50th birthday, his father personally flew out Michael Jackson and paid the pop star £12.5 million to perform for the family.
When you think of the world's richest footballers your thoughts immediately deflect to the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Neymar - not a 19-year-old kid who plays in Leicester City's reserves.
Meet Faiq Bolkiah, nephew of the Sultan of Brunei (Hassanal Bolkiah) - who is worth an estimated $20billion.
The talented Foxes winger has been playing in England for some time, starting his career at AFC Newbury as youngster.
In 2009, Southampton added Bolkiah to their widely-regarded academy. Despite not being handed a contract, Arsenal offered the Bruneian a trial in 2013.
Bolkiah competed with the Gunners in the 2013 Lion City Cup and even bagged a goal in the competition.
After being made aware of his situation, Chelsea offered the winger a two-year deal which he promptly signed. But after just one year Bolkiah left to join Leicester on a three-year contract.
Despite being born in Los Angeles, United States, Bolkiah opted to play for Brunei and has represented his country nine times, scoring once.

Rare Dromore Punishment Stocks Co Down N Ir.
This is the rare set of stocks in Dromore Co Down. These old stocks are said to date from 1805. It was quite normal to use them as punishment for petty crime like stealing or poaching. Punishment by stocks was abolished in England in 1821. This punishment may have lasted longer in Ireland. These particular metal stocks were re-mounted to the southern side of the market house in 1910.
Stocks were employed by civil and military authorities from medieval to early modern times including Colonial America. Public punishment in the stocks was a common occurrence from around 1500 until at least 1748.
Some consider the stocks an example of torture and cruel and unusual punishment.[citation needed] Victims may be insulted, kicked, tickled, spat on, or subjected to other inhumane acts. In the Bible, the treatment of Paul and Silas, disciples of Jesus, was detailed in the Acts of the Apostles: Having received such a charge, he put them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks.
England's Statute of Labourers 1351 prescribed the use of the stocks for unruly artisans and required that every town and village erect a set of stocks.
Their last recorded use in the United Kingdom was in 1872 at either Adpar, Newcastle Emlyn, west Wales[8] or Newbury, Berkshire, England (11 June).
