Long Tail Boat Fishing, KRABI THAILAND
Went on a PRIVATE, guided long tail fishing trip and Island Hoping in KRABI, Thailand. When looking for a fishing charter anywhere in Thailand, you typically will find large crowded boats, filled with people you do not know. This may be fun for the back packers and partying lads...but for me I liked the idea of having the whole boat to ourselves.
Also, I could imagine that not everyone has a wife that loves going fishing....so this trip was perfect because it had something for both my wife and I.
Did not catch any huge fish, or many of fish, but it was a unique experience not known to many traveling in Thailand.
PRO TIP: If you know a Thai person, you can get a trip like this for around 80 USD, for 2 people, all day.
A typical fishing charter typically costs 100USD per person.

Krabi. Best Place of Thailand.Heaven on Earth,Four Island????tour on Long tail boat. December 2018
Exciting island-hopping to the tropical hot spots in the Krabi sea : Phra Nang Cave , Tup Island., Chicken Island and Podi Island. Swimming, snorkelling, sunbathing, exploring and photography are the main activities to enjoy.
Expect plenty of sun, a rich variety of corals and fishes, crystal clear waters and white powdery sand beaches,
lined with coconut palms. Fast and fun.
Amazing Race Phuket to Railey; We've Found Avatar!!
The Amazing Race Wallace Reboot continues as we make our way from Phuket to Ao Nang/Krabi. We knew instantly we needed to get farther down south and see some of those Thai island images from my head in real life. I wasn't disappointed! We got to experience our first long boat ride as we continued on from Ao Nang to Railey Beach and it was magical, epic, out of this world. STUNNING!!
Railey Beach is not actually an island, but a peninsula surrounded by high basalt jungle covered mountains. It is only reached by boat on either the east or west side. When we rounded the corner and in to the by or lagoon (?) it was like we'd entered the world of Avatar. I think all our mouths hung open a bit. We wandered around and asked a few places for prices, then quickly learned the east side of Railey is the more budget friendly. We headed that way and ended up booking a week at the Diamond Cave Resort. Spoiler: the week went too fast!
Oh...and we had a monkey encounter/were mugged for the first time. Haha...

Hey, by the way! So...we are worldschoolers. Don't know what that means? Worldschooling means different things for different people, but overall and in general it means that we are teaching our kids about life hands on through experiences as we travel. Our motto is We Travel, we Learn, we Love, & we Serve. And we try to do just that as we move around this beautiful planet seeing new things, making new friends, trying to leave it a little better than we found it and experiencing other cultures first hand. It's an amazing trip, this life, but of course it also has it's downs. This is still our real life with kids arguing, tears, hurts, downfalls and the like. We always try and reboot our attitudes and get back on the road with a happier attitude. It is a choice!
We are the Wallace Family and we are Clicking Refresh to Reboot our Lives one day and experience at a time. xoxo

Thailand Sailing Catamaran Amadeus. Cabin Cruise to Phukets Southern Islands
A typical join in sailing cruise on the catamaran Amadeus sailing from Chalong Bay on a 6 day-5 night cruise to the Southern islands off Phuket:
Day 1 – Transfer from the airport or from your hotel to Chalong, where the ship is moored. At 10:30 AM, you can board the Amadeus and settle into your cabin. After an orientation by the Captain, the Amadeus sets off at 11:30 AM.
In about two hours, we will reach the Koh Mai Thon Island, where you can enjoy the warm, clear waters of the Indian Ocean.
Then you will have your first taste of our chef’s delicious cooking. After lunch, we will set sail again, this time for Ko Phi Phi Don. Tonsai Bay, the main bay in Phi Phi island is not a quiet and tranquil place
There you can wander through the streets, have a drink at a bar, or relax with a massage. In the evening, enjoy a wonderful dinner aboard the ship. This will be our first overnight location.
Day 2 – Anyone feeling energetic to walk to the viewpoint? One needs to go early, before it gets hot and the steep steps will get you out of breath, but you will be rewarded with an amazing view of the two large Bays.
You will return to the yacht and breakfast will be waiting for you before we set sail for Kantiang Beach in Ko Lanta, This is one of the larger islands and it offers great beaches and the island is covered with natural forests inviting you for a scenic walk to a water fall. After you return, we sail a bit further South to a secluded anchorage and here we have a great small restaurant with excellent Thai cuisine. This will give you the chance to eat out for a change and experience real Thai hospitality. (The dinner and drinks on shore are not included in the price)
Day 3 – On this day, breakfast will be served while we sail. Our destination: Ko Muk Island.
Here you can visit the Emerald Cave, where a breath-taking surprise awaits you.
Once again, we will hoist our big sails, and with good wind, we should reach Ko Rok Nok Island in about two hours. This area is world-famous for its snorkeling and diving, and it boasts the most beautiful beach of the Andaman Sea.
The water is crystal clear, and the range of sea life in the Coral Sea will amaze you. In the evening, we’ll set up a barbecue on the white sand, which you can enjoy under a beautiful sunset.
Day 4 – You really won’t want to leave right away. Before we set off, make sure to take one last dip in this gorgeous natural setting.
On the way to Ko Phi Phi Leh, we will stop for more snorkeling at Ko Ha. You might be able to catch some tuna for very fresh sashimi along the way.
Just in time for a spectacular sunset, we arrive at Maya Bay. This is where the film “The Beach” was shot. The bay’s main beach is closed at the moment to give the reef a chance to recover from over tourism, but we are still able to pick up a mooring and stay at this spectacular place for the night.
Day 5 – At seven in the morning, the world is just waking up. Enjoy a fresh cup of coffee as you contemplate the morning light in Maya Bay. We depart before breakfast to another secluded place on the West coast of Phi Phi Don, enjoy the snorkeling and breakfast there and you can try the SUP or grab a kayak to paddle to the beach.
Later we set sail and depart for Ko Racha Yai, with the hope to spot some bottle nose dolphins which are regulars in that area. Again, the waters there are crystal clear inviting you for a swim and snorkel. We have several anchorages to choose from, all of them feature stunning beaches.
Day 6 – After breakfast, the ship will take you back to Phuket’s Chalong Bay. We will arrive around noon, and you will disembark with unforgettable memories. Of course, we will make sure get you to the airport on time, or take you to your hotel.

KRABI TO PHI PHI ISLAND BY FERRY - THAILAND
#FERRY #KRABI #PHIPHIISLAND #HOW_TO_TRAVEL_KRABI_TO_PHIPHI
The Phi Phi islands are some of the loveliest in Southeast Asia. Just a 45-minute speedboat trip or a 90-minute ferryboat ride from either Phuket or Krabi, these picture postcard islands offer the ultimate tropical getaway. Featuring classic tropical beaches, stunning rock formations and vivid turquoise waters teeming with colourful marine life, it is paradise perfected.
Getting to Phi Phi Island is pretty easy. This group of six islands is located 46km from Phuket and roughly the same distance from Krabi. To get to Phi Phi, there are basically two options: ferries and speedboats.
The ferry is by far the most popular method of reaching the islands. Ferries take about two hours from Phuket and 90 minutes from Krabi or Koh Lanta. The main departure/arrival port in Phuket is Rassada Pier, located in Phuket Town. In Krabi, the main ferry pier is Klong Jirad Pier, situated just south of Krabi Town. The ferry terminal is a one-hour drive from Phuket Airport and Krabi's is 30 minutes from Krabi Airport. To get good seats you should arrive well in advance in high season or half an hour before departure in low season.
If you are travelling from Bangkok, you need to get to one of these two piers to catch a ferry to Phi Phi. Once you arrive at the airport or at the Bokoso (inter-city bus station), you’ll have to take a taxi or a local bus to get to the ferry terminal. Please have a look at the Phuket and Krabi ferry schedules beforehand, so you can plan your trip accordingly.
Ferry departure times from Krabi’s Klong Jilad Pier are 9am, 10.30am, 1.30pm, and 3pm. The only exception is that the 3pm ferry actually departs at 4pm on Fridays.
The ferry journey is approximately 1.5 hours and you’ll arrive at the Tonsai Pier on Ko Phi Phi Don, the largest of the Phi Phi Islands. From here it’s just a short walk to many different places to stay or dine.
You can book ferry tickets from here:

Speedboat from Krabi to Phi Phi
Private speedboat transfer is the next most popular way of getting to Phi Phi. Basically, it's a private charter of a speedboat, so departure and drop-off points are a little more flexible and you can go right up to the front of your chosen resort, which can save a lot of time. For most of the year the ride is flat, but it's advisable to avoid speedboats in low season (from September to November) as things can get a little bumpy. Obviously, speedboats are more expensive than the ferry, but they can represent excellent value for larger groups as the cost of the boat hire is divided.

Krabi Thailand Private Longboat Rental-Hong Island Lagoon, Lading & Pakbia Islands
Thailand is a truly amazing place. If you get the chance to go, consider going to Krabi. If you happen to go to Krabi you must for sure rent a long boat for a private tour. This is up there with the coolest thing we've ever done. The views, hiking, the snorkeling, sailing, etc are all incredible. The food in Thailand is some of the best I've ever had as well.
