'On We Sail' - A Tribute to the Tall Ship 'Lord Nelson'
The British barque 'Lord Nelson' was decommissioned on 11 October 2019 after 33 years service with the Jubilee Sailing Trust charity. She was the first tall ship designed to be accessible for people with disabilities and she completed many voyages including a circumnavigation of the world. She changed many lives for the better. Financial difficulties resulted in the JST making the decision to continue with one ship, 'Tenacious'. 'Nellie' is currently moored in Bristol dock while her future is decided. Let's hope she will sail again and welcome crews of all physical ability. Here is my tribute to Lord Nelson from film clips and photos I took on board. Huge thanks to Max Mudie from Tall Ship Stock for contributing superb videos and stills of Lord Nelson in all her full-sailed glory and to Rory Goodlad and Jenny Goodhand for photos at The End. Thanks to the Exmouth Shanty Men for their version of 'Leave Her, Johnny, Leave Her'. 'On We Sail' by Soiree (written by Joe Topping).

Welcome Home JST Tall Ship 'Lord Nelson' from 'Sail The World'!
The Jubilee Sailing Trust's tall ship Lord nelson returns to Britain up the River Thames on 19th September 2014 after an astonishing voyage around the world with crews of mixed physical abilities. 'Sail The World' demonstrated that, in keeping with the JST's ethos, disability is no barrier to adventure on the high seas! Accompanied up the Thames by her sister ship 'Tenacious', 'Nellie' passed through Tower Bridge to a fanfare by the Royal Marines and a party afterwards at Norton Rose Fullbright (who sponsored and provided invaluable assistance to 'Sail The World'). Film by Steve Poole, with additional footage by Neil Poole. For more information, or to book your own adventure, visit

I was commissioned to write this song for Mr Fred Pritchard of
Pritchard Holdings to celebrate the bicentennial of The Battle Of
Trafalgar. I performed the song at Shugborough Hall at a fundraising
dinner in aid of The Cutty Sark. It is played on a Custom built Fylde
Falstaff in the hybrid style using a Ring Pick of my own design.
