Mall at Bay Plaza -December 2014 First Christmas Retail Season
This video captures a little piece of the shopping frenzy at The New Mall at Bay Plaza Shopping Center in the COOP City neighborhood of the Bronx, NY - We take you from the parking lot all they way through to the 3rd Level Food Court. There is also a number of still shots we uploaded in a separate slideshow.
It's was Saturday December 20th, 2014, around 3pm in the evening. A very brisk breeze was in the air. This is a big test for the huge retail venue as this was the very first Christmas Retail Season. The biggest challenge was managing the heavy influx of new traffic into the shopping center.
While there were several new road modification, including; A brand new multi-level parking facility, new traffic lane additions, New Traffic Signs, Added NYPD Traffic Police, and The Mall Traffic Personnel, the huge number of vehicles was daunting! A lot of the problem was that visitors were not aware of the added entrances and exit s the were put into place, so Bartow Ave to and from the New England highway I95 and Hutchinson River Parkway was CraaaaZzzzyyyy!
In spite of that, shoppers and browsers seemed comfortable and in good Christmas spirits. The Mall's outside streets and inside it's walls were filled with joyous songs of the Christmas holidays. You could hear Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer on one level and Silent Night on another! The Mall was also nicely and appropriately decorated with the Holiday Season themed displays. There were giant Christmas Trees and lots of beautifully colored ribbons and wreaths glimmering with silver and gold Angel Hair.
The food court was finally operational, and the lines were long, but move fairly well (all things considered). The new restaurants like Olive Garden and Eat At Joes had lots of eager people waiting patiently for the opportunity get inside the eateries. Overflow Lines were out the doors at either restaurant.
All-in-All, we give this first Christmas at the Mall at Bay Plaza a good B+.

Serious two car accident on Gun hill Rd. & Knapp St / Morgan Ave Bronx, NY Oct. 17, 2014
Serious Automobile accident at the corner of E. Gun Hill road Knapp street (Morgan Ave) near the #5 Subway station in the Northeast section of the Bronx. The actual impact had occurred before I arrived on the scene. I noticed that the front end on one of vehicles was totally destroyed, NYC Fireman on the scene. There didn't appear to be any fatalities. I did noticed one lady sitting of the sidewalk. She was being questioned by the NYC Police. Crowds Gathered and looked on in disbelief at the damage on one of the two vehicle. The entire front end was crushed to the point that it did not look like it was ever part of the vehicle.
I eventually left the scene, other people coming out of the #5 subway saw all the people gathered , so they came over to see what had happened.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills

- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain

SUMMARY
=======
The Bronx is a borough of New York City, coterminous with Bronx County, in the U.S. state of New York, the third-most densely populated county in the United States. It is south of Westchester County; northeast and east of Manhattan, across the Harlem River; and north of Queens, across the East River.
The Bronx has a land area of 42 square miles (109 km2) and a population of 1,471,160 in 2017. Of the five boroughs, it has the fourth-largest area, fourth-highest population, and third-highest population density. It is the only borough predominantly on the U.S. mainland.
The Bronx is divided by the Bronx River into a hillier section in the west, and a flatter eastern section. East and west street names are divided by Jerome Avenue. The West Bronx was annexed to New York City in 1874, and the areas east of the Bronx River in 1895. Bronx County was separated from New York County in 1914. About a quarter of the Bronx's area is open space, including Woodlawn Cemetery, Van Cortlandt Park, Pelham Bay Park, the New York Botanical Garden, and the Bronx Zoo in the borough's north and center. These open spaces are situated primarily on land deliberately reserved in the late 19th century as urban development progressed north and east from Manhattan.
The name Bronx originated with Swedish-born Jonas Bronck, who established the first settlement in the area as part of the New Netherland colony in 1639. The native Lenape were displaced after 1643 by settlers. In the 19th and 20th centuries, the Bronx received many immigrant and migrant groups as it was transformed into an urban community, first from various European countries (particularly Ireland, Germany, Italy and Eastern Europe) and later from the Caribbean region (particularly Puerto Rico, Hai ...

Crowd of People at Grand Central Station - youtube.com/tanvideo11
- Grand Central Terminal (GCT)—colloquially called Grand Central Station, or shortened to simply Grand Central—is a commuter rail terminal station at 42nd Street and Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan in New York City, United States. Built by and named for the New York Central Railroad in the heyday of American long-distance passenger rail travel, it is the largest train station in the world by number of platforms: 44, with 67 tracks along them. They are on two levels, both below ground, with 41 tracks on the upper level and 26 on the lower, though the total number of tracks along platforms and in rail yards exceeds 100. The terminal covers an area of 48 acres (19 ha).
The terminal serves commuters traveling on the Metro-North Railroad to Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess counties in New York State, and Fairfield and New Haven counties in Connecticut. Until 1991 the terminal served Amtrak, which moved to nearby Pennsylvania Station upon completion of the Empire Connection.
Although the terminal has been properly called Grand Central Terminal since 1913, many people continue to refer to it as Grand Central Station, the name of the previous rail station on the same site, and of the U.S. Post Office station next door, which is not part of the terminal. It is also sometimes used to refer to the Grand Central -- 42nd Street subway station, which serves the terminal.
It has been described as the world's loveliest station. According to the travel magazine Travel + Leisure in its October 2011 survey, Grand Central Terminal is the world's number six most visited tourist attraction, bringing in approximately 21,600,000 visitors annually.
