Shanghai ‘Boy Toy’ Private Club for Wealthy Chinese Women Gains Internet Fame After Police Bust

A viral photo has exposed a new vice proliferating in major Chinese cities.
A Jan. 25 post on Sina Weibo, a Chinese social media platform similar to Twitter, attracted people’s attention.
The photo showed a big pile of luxury gifts, along with a brand-new Audi car. The Weibo user who posted the photo said he was a male escort at the White Horse private club in Shanghai.
The gifts were from a wealthy female client, in celebration of his 28th birthday, according to the post.
Chinese netizens dug into details about the White Horse private club, which goes by the English name Perfect Space.
On its Weibo account, the club said all their employees are handsome men, including male models from Europe and North America. It is located on Shimen Road in Jing’an district, one of Shanghai’s busiest neighborhoods.
The private club was revealed to be for female clients only. The daily revenue of each VIP room is around one million yuan ($148,000), while tips to their male escorts can reach 10,000 yuan per client, according to one of the club’s recruitment ads posted on Weibo.
The male escort’s Weibo post was soon removed, but the photo of the gifts were reposted by different social media.
Several hours later, a video spread on social media, claiming to show the aforementioned male escort being beaten by the husband of the female client who gifted the expensive presents.
According to the video post, the husband was extremely angry when he found out that his wife had used his money to buy gifts for the male escort at White Horse club. The husband then hired thugs to break the escort’s leg.
Because the video was soon deleted, these details could not be independently verified.
Chinese state-run newspaper Beijing Youth Daily interviewed several employees of the White Horse club to investigate the matter. The staff said it’s common that the club’s male escorts receive luxury gifts from their clients. But no staff would confirm that the video is real. They said some of the male escort employees were detained by police.
On Jan. 26, the White Horse club closed, according to Chinese media reports. Shanghai police told the public that the club was closed for an investigation.
On Jan. 27, a Weibo account belonging to the user “Bai Xiaosheng” posted a video showing a roomful of men gathered inside the club on June 21, 2018, as they were preparing for the work day.
Bai alleged in his post that the club’s parent company, Noah’s Ark Group, actually runs several brothels across China, including the cities of Chongqing, Shenzhen, and Fuzhou.
On the official website of Noah’s Ark Group, which describes itself as an operator of bars, nightclubs, karaoke lounges, and other entertainment venues, there are promotional articles about its employees, who are shown in photos scantily clad: shirtless men and women in short skirts.

It would be a bad move to skip the Brass Monkey, Stockton’s signature drink made with HM The King Scotch and compressed citrus. But first, you have to find the place (clue: it’s down a dark alleyway and there’s a single lightbulb that tips off the secret doorway). For another, elusive Old Town experience, check out 001. If you can find the black-door and brass bell (and we mean “if”), you’ll find one of the best prohibition style speakeasies in town. Green leather armchairs and plush booths line this basement bar where there are still serious drinks to be drank - we like the dark and stormy. And if you’re trying to feel like you’re in your richest friend’s most aspirational Instagram photo, Sevva is the absolute pinnacle of luxurious drinking.

The Red Theater is famous for its traditional folk art performance. Especially, the Shaolin Kung Fu drama The Legend of Kung Fu is successfully performed there and becomes one of the most popular tourism performances in Beijing.
The story took place in an ancient monastery in the mountains. It tells the story of a young monk Chun Yi who left his mother and went to the mountain to learn Chinese martial arts. He went through many difficult tests of enlightenment, martial arts study, practice, casting and meditation. Finally, he became a master through practising martial arts and Zen. This simple and modest story implies the eternal life theme of suffering and growth.
It is a must see when visiting Beijing.

COCKTAILS:-
FRESH FRUIT MOJITOS -
Vodka based cocktail with fresh watermelon and mint .
Extremely refreshing!
The use of fresh fruits really makes a difference!!
SALAD:-
PAHADI SALAD -
Fresh indian salad made with cucumber/ carrots/onions and mushrooms in a lemon mint dressing .
Lemon and mint gave a nice fresh flavour to the simple salad !
APPETIZERS:-
INDIAN ROASTED CURRY FRIES -
Potato wedges tossed with green chillies/garlic/curry leaves and dry garlic masala.
Super garlicky and tangy ...the Indian flavours took the potato wedges to the next level !!
CHICKEN WRAPED SHRIMP -
Juicy prawns wrapped with thinly sliced chicken then batter fried to perfection, finally tossed with asian shanghai sauce.
The prawns were cooked perfectly, the chicken coating had a beautiful flavour of soya sauce/garlic and red chillies !!
TANDOORI CHICKEN BRUSCHETTA -
Sliced toasted french loaf topped with tandoori chicken and feta cheese.
The tandoori chicken was moist and flavourful but it was the feta that gave the richness and flavour to the bruschetta.
EGGONOMICS -
Sliced boiled eggs stuffed with minced chicken and prawns kheema .
The kheema was well made with freshly ground Indian spices, tasted nice with the boiled eggs.
HYDRABADI CHICKEN 65 -
Batter fried chicken tossed with curry leaf/onion/capsicum/garlic/dry red chillies and green chillies .
Super Spicy !!! But extremely flavourful!!!
The fiery red chilli paste and loads of garlic made this dish stand out .
SEVEN CHEESE PIZZA -
Thin in house made flatbread topped with mozzarella/cheddar/feta/phylodelfia cream cheese/brie/parmesan and processed cheese .
Even though there were seven different varieties of cheese, none of them were overpowering each other.
Loved their harmony and flavour!!
CHICKEN PAKODA -
Served with coriander chutney .
Onions and shredded chicken batter fried using gram flour.
Sprinkled with chat masala .
Onion pakodas with juicy chicken!! Loved it !
TAVA JHINGA NAAN PAV -
Served with french fries and masala peanuts.
Pav stuffed with spicy tava fried prawns and fried egg.
The prawns were nicely tossed with onion/curry leaves and Indian spices.
Tasted delicious with the fried eggs !
STORMING PRAWNS -
South Indian spices marinated prawns, pan seared to perfection.
Tasted delicious with a squeeze of lime!!
HONEY SOY SHRIMPS -
Batter fried prawns tossed with soya sauce/honey and scallions .
Garnished with fried ginger .
Adding fried ginger was a fantastic idea.
It worked beautifully with honey and soya sauce.
Hint of sweetness with ginger flavour was awesome !!
MAIN COURSE:-
DESI TADKEDAR SPAGHETTI -
Served with garlic bread .
Tomato and cream sauce spaghetti twisted with a Indian tadka .
The juicy chunks of chicken added volume to the dish.
GRILLED CHICKEN IN MUSHROOM SAUCE -
Grilled chicken breast drizelled with a creamy mushroom sauce.
Served with herbs veggies/butter parsley rice and mash potatoes .
The black pepper and dried italian herbs flavour coming from the creamy mushroom sauce was fantastic !!
Even the texture of the mash potatoes was perfect. Its a complete meal for one !!
DESSERTS:-
CHOCOLATE BROWNIE -
Served with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce .
It's the perfect ending of a scrumptious meal !
Overall I had a wonderful time ;))
Great ambiance, intoxicating cocktails and lip smaking appetizers .....
It's surely among the best places for a night out at khar !
