19th of November, 2016 Trip to Bran (Meet Count Dracula!) and Brasov (First Romanian School Museum)
Brasov Historical Center in Brasov, Romania
The Brașov County Museum of History is a history museum in Brașov, Romania.
In the central square of the old city, in 1420, the town's town, once called Rathaus or the House of the Council, was built. The ground floor still retains elements of the Gothic style, and the tower and the tower are built in Renaissance and Baroque style. From 1950 the building hosts the History Museum of Brasov County .
Brasov County Historical Museum was founded as a regional museum in 1950, and it has inherited a large part of the collections of the Bârsa and Astra Country Museum in Brasov.
The collection of the Museum has been enriched by systematic research, acquisitions and donations, reaching today 36,000 objects of historical and artistic interest.
In 1950, the Museum of History received in heritage the House of the Council, a Baroque building in the Council Square, a Baroque building in the Council Square, which was certified as a headquarters of the furry guild since 1420. The 1420 document was a contract between the Guardsman and the Magistrate of Brasov by which the Council of the Centurions was given the right to raise a courtroom over the guild building. During the fifteenth and eighteenth centuries, the House of Councilors underwent various modifications, and new rooms and the tower were added to it.
In the 7th century of the last century, the History Museum of Brasov received the patrimony of the building on the 21st Heroes Boulevard, which was destined to accommodate the art department, a decade later, the museum's patrimony was later added to the building of the museum in which it was organized ethnography section.
Also in the museum, the Muresen Memorial House developed as a memorial museum dedicated to the Mures family, which played an important role in the cultural and national life of the Romanians in the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.
In 1990, the Museum has a first break through the detachment of the art and ethnography sections that become the Museum of Art and Ethnography.
The House of the Muresen became a museum since 1997.
At present, the History Museum has three sections housed within representative historical monuments in Brasov: the Council House, the Fabric Bastion and the Black Tower.
The Board House houses the basic exhibition and has a showroom for temporary exhibitions. The museum is organized on three levels (basement, ground floor and floor) and has thirteen exhibition halls, displaying 1673 objects that make up the basic exhibition.
The basic exhibition has as its theme the history of Brasov from the earliest times to the present and is divided into three sections: the archeology department, the medieval history department, the modern and contemporary history department.
The archeology section is located in the basement of the House of the Council and includes archaeological remains from the Upper Palaeolithic to the 14th century; arms and stone, bronze and iron, neolithic ceramics, Roman and medieval Dacians, etc.
The Medieval History Department is located on the ground floor and contains objects and products of medieval Brasov guilds: crates, convoys and guild seals, weapons, ornaments, church items, torture tools, etc. Two reconstructions are also featured in the exhibition: a blacksmith workshop and a medieval scourge.
The Modern and Contemporary History Department presents an old Romanian and German book exhibition (XVI-XVIIth century) and an exhibition devoted to urban civilization from the nineteenth century to the beginning of the 20th century, which comprises various manufactures manufactured by small industry and the reconstitution of a newspaper editorial. Another hall is devoted to the events preceding the formation of Great Romania and presents personalities of Romanian history and personalities of the history of Romanians and local personalities who participated in the Great Assembly in Alba-Iulia.
The Weavers Bastion is situated at the end of the Castle Street, next to the sports base Olimpia was built in two stages between 1421-1573, it is the only one of the eight bastions of the fortress preserved in its original form. The bastion has a hexagonal plan surrounded by walls with a thickness of 4, 30 m at the base, pierced with pitted and fire holes at which the access was provided by four levels of wooden galleries. In 1800, inside the bastion were built two rooms for wreaths of the weavers' guild, in which today is housed the exhibition that includes a collection of weapons, the medieval fortress model made in 1896 and the Skeiului model made in the 1950s.
The Black Tower entered the heritage of the County Historical Museum in 2001 after having undergone restoration works. The tower includes an exhibition devoted to craftsmen of the XV century, in which the most diverse weapons (lances, arches, lips, swords, crossbows, etc.), mugs, tin plates and ironware (locks, frogs, keys etc.) )

Visiting the Dracula Castle in Transylvania, Romania
THE CRAZIEST ROMANIAN ROAD TRIP EVER!! (IT STARTS NOW)
This was a test....... a test of physical and mental strength. driving down these endless roads and yes the different sceneries were great until night fell then it was nothing but Darkness and streetlights. so we plan to stay in Austria for the second night travelling to Romania but soon found out there was nothing we could book after 12 a.m. that's when the idea came across of just driving to Romania through out the night. I didn't vlog as much as I wanted to because of how tired I was but we grabbed some sandwiches from the service station and mounted up in the car ready for the long night ahead.

Life in Romania
Follow on instagram: @venturingwithme
A month of Romania fit into 15 minutes.
Here's a summary of my time in Romania shown in this video:
Our first stop on our trip was Bucharest where we visited La tara the country side where my grandpa grew up. Our next stop was exploring the Parliament. Then we went to surprise my grandma's best friend at the apartments where my grandma used to live. Romania has amazing desserts that I still crave to this day. We then hopped on a double decker bus that took us to the Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum and I was able to try on traditional Romanian clothes and see the traditional homes that Romanians used to live in.
Headed to Alexandria where we had Vacation Bible School for the children there. It was an amazing week of serving God and learning more about Him. It was so hard leaving this city.
We then traveled our way to Fagaras through transfagarasan, a 56 mile paved mountain road. We had a blessed time in Fagaras, however I didn't film much of it. During our time there we headed to Delta Dunarii (one of the largest river deltas in Europe) for three nights. One of those days we took a boat and explored. Made cupcakes in Fagaras filled with pudding and peaches, that was one experience. First time having to translate English ingredients and measurements to Romanian, but thankfully they turned out really good! We visited Sibiu about 2 times and one of the times we were there we had the chance to go to Redbull Romaniacs. We even had the opportunity to help some of the riders find their way through the trails. We went on a hike one of the days in Fagaras, however it didn't go as planned...the bottom of my boot fell off, so the guys put what was left of the boot into a shoe that was maybe 3 feet bigger than mine.
There's a lot of things that I got to see and experience in Romania, however this is most of what I filmed and was able to put together a video with. I hope you enjoy!

Winter 3-Day TOUR București - Brașov - Sibiu [February, 2012]
ENGLISH: The first time I had the courage in 2012 for a weekend railtrip through the Romanian railway stations was in the middle of February, when snow from Predeal slightly exceeded 1 meter, and in Sibiu ... 1 cm. But the mantle of historical flair of European Capital in 2007, Hermannstadt, was more important than the mantle of snow through Museum exhibits steam engines of locomotives and motorcars Depot exposed here.
But Brasov is not an inferior point of tourist attraction, especially if we consider the thousands of railway students that went out from schools in the field near the Depot Brasov, including my father. From here, under the Tâmpa hill, was founded the first private passenger transport company in Romania, Regiotrans, whose units you can watch in a few moments in this video.
For train enthusiasts, many diesel locomotives, 060-DA Sulzer engine or EGM GeneralMotors engine and generator accompanied by the Siemens Desiro railcars or by the attractive modernized ex-DB VT 614 Remarul February 16 is a proper environment for as many shots of cameras or frequently pushes of the red RECORD button of the camcorder.
Finally, it only remains for me to wish you pleasant viewing! I wish you all the best!

VR4Holiday.com
The Print Museum and the Old Romanian Book Museum is a county museum in Târgoviște, located in Str. Justice no. 7. Near the large gate, used during the reign of Constantin Brâncoveanu, on the south-east side of the Royal Court, very close to the church on Holy Friday, there is the Museum of the Pattern and the Old Romanian Book, housed in the Arama House.
The building was rebuilt from the foundations, on the place where once was an Egyptian house, to which the monks from Dealu Monastery worked in 1802, when a powerful earthquake affects the cells of this place of worship. At the beginning of the twentieth century, the house was used as a private school boarding school, local to the city police, and during the First World War it was the headquarters of the German command.
From the old house, only two interior walls are now preserved. Composed of the cellar, the ground floor and the floor, the access to the floor is made by an external wooden staircase that leads you to a porch where you can admire the monuments of the Royal Court, Arama House is an example of value of the traditional constructions in the area.
At the ground floor of the building, the Museum of the Pattern and the Old Romanian Book was arranged, which houses the testimonies of the civilization of a people, expressed through one of the most profitable trades - the pattern. The exhibition circuit starts with the presentation of the first forms and writing media and continues with the moment of the invention of the pattern with mobile letters and its distribution in Europe. The introduction of the pattern in the Romanian Country is marked by Macarie's Slavonic printings: Liturghier (1508), Octoih (1510) and Evangheliar (1512), made in Târgoviște, the hearth of the prints from the Romanian Country. From here, later, Coresi will start, the one who will plant in the people's mind the idea that the word of the Lord can also be read in Romanian and whose typographic activity was performed both in Târgoviște and Brașov is illustrated in the exhibition (Triod Pentecostal - 1578, Slavonic Evangelical - 1579, Romanian Evangelical - 1561).
The imposition of the Romanian language in print is highlighted by books released in the seventeenth century, both in the Romanian Country (the teaching gospel, Pravila de la Govora, the straightening of the law) and in Moldova (the Cauldron of Varlaam, Psaltirea in verses a of Dosoftei) and Transylvania (New Testament from Bălgrad). The appearance of the secular book is illustrated by the prints made by Antim Ivireanu in the eighteenth century, in Târgoviște, Bucharest, Buzău and Râmnic (Dogmatic Panoply, Alixandria, Philosophical Pills), through the manuscripts and printings of the Moldavian ruler Otoman Dimitrie Cantem. , The description of Moldova, the Hronicul of the old Romanian-Moldovan-Vlahilor) and through the histories, grammars, calendars of agricultural work and dictionaries edited by the representatives of the Transylvanian School. The didactic and literary writings in nineteenth-century editions of Negruzzi, Alecsandri, Pelimon and Bolintineanu displayed in the exhibition mark the moment of renouncing the Cyrillic alphabet and adopting the Latin alphabet. The museum circuit ends with the presentation of the first three regular publications:
Romanian Curierul (1829), edited by Ion Heliade Rădulescu, Albina Românească (1829), by Gheorghe Asachi, and Gazeta de Transilvania, printed by George Barițiu. A special interest on the part of the visitors also arouses the other objects exhibited in the museum: the typographic ornaments, the sigil rings, the woodcuts, the valuable book links and the 18th century print, the resistance piece of the exhibition. [1]
The museum building is declared a historical monument, having the code DB-II-m-A-17273.

Travel Romania | Dracula Bran Castle + Best Brasov Restaurant
#KoreanRomaniaTravel #Dracula #BranCastle
This video is about my travel to Romania in last November.
Especially about Bran Castle which is famous for Dracula.
And tasty Romanian Food. AH... I LOVE ROMANIAN FOOD.
So, I went to Brasov from Sighisoara by train.
Because the city is near from the castle.
Of course, I didn't forget to eat amazing Romanian food.
If you don't like sour taste, you may not like Romanian soup.
I tried various courses from the soup menu, and they were all sour.
But if you eat it with the bread together. It's fine~
Oh..that's my favourite Papanasi. Romanian doughnut with sour cream and fruit jam.“Since I tasted the delicious Papanasi, I ate that every single day during the time I was there”
The nature surrounding the castle was beautiful.
I visited many castles in Europe and I was surprised that the Bran castle was tiny compared to the others I've ever seen. And I liked it. It was homely and easy to look around in short time.
It was too windy but it made me more excited.

Suceava, Romania - Winter Wonderland in a Medieval City
The historical city of Suceava Romania is the capital of Suceava County, located in the Bucovina region of Romania. Suceava played a huge and significant role throughout the country's history. The city served as the medieval Principality of Moldavia from 1388 to 1565.
Many great rulers in Romania's history have lived and governed from within the city's walls, including Stephen the Great, and Petru Rareș, among dozes of others over many decades. Today, the city with a population of about 90,000 serves as a economical hub for NE Romania.
The city is found under a humid continental climate, typified by large seasonal temperature differences, with warm to hot (and often humid) summers and cold (sometimes severely cold) winters.
This year Suceava's first major snow came on November 19th and caught me by surprise. Since I was free that day, I decided to walk around a few area's of the city and film the different sites. I hope you enjoy!

#Transylvania has long occupied the darker recesses of human imagination. His famous literary work caused an influx of tourism into this time-forgotten part of the world.
However, travelers who #explore Transylvania’s stirring landscapes #discover more than just shadowy folklore. After enduring a long and bloody tug of war, Transylvania is now made up of a tapestry of cultures. Admire the shimmering Hungarian murals adorning the walls of the Targu Mures Cultural Palace. Roam among the crumbling ruins of Rasnov Fortress, where the Teutonic Knights defended against Turkish and Tartar invasion. And of course, wander the dark passageways and windswept ramparts of Bran Castle, Stoker’s inspiration for Dracula’s clifftop lair.

That's right we are spending the night in bran Castle..... can we stay the full night? find out tomorrow.... ????????♂️????????????♂️
