The Singapore City Gallery is a free gallery museum that talks about Singapore's urban planning. Though the topic may sound boring, the exhibits at the gallery makes it easy for regular people to understand with the help of fun and interactive touchscreens, information boards and videos. The Singapore Water Story
In just five decades, Singapore has overcome water shortages despite its lack of natural water resources and pollution in its rivers.
Driven by a vision of what it takes to be sustainable in water, Singapore has been investing in research and technology. Today, the nation has built a robust, diversified and sustainable water supply from four different sources known as the Four National Taps (water from local catchment areas, imported water, reclaimed water known as NEWater and desalinated water).
By integrating the system and maximising the efficiency of each of the four taps, Singapore has ensured a stable, sustainable water supply capable of catering to the country’s continued growth.

Singapore Visitor Centre: NDP Celebration 2018
Here is a recap of what we did from 8-12 August, when the Singapore Visitor Centre featured a programme of exciting activities – from complimentary guided tours about Singapore’s history, favourite local food and lesser-known attractions, to free samplings of local delicacies such as chicken rice, kaya toast and laksa.
Programme:
8 Aug: Free 30-min guided tours of Singapore’s past, present and future (9.30am, 10.30am, 6.30pm). Commemorative EZ link cards will be given to first 200 participants.
9 Aug: Free artisan roasted coffee, latte art demonstrations and cookies (10am – 4pm)
10 Aug: Buy unique food souvenirs and explore a Foodie trail
11 Aug: Free sampling of local delights – Chicken rice, laksa and pandan chiffon cake (10am - 1pm)
12 Aug: Free sampling of local delights – Kaya toast and local coffee (10am – 1pm)
