This contemporary budget hotel is a 10-minute walk from Coventry Cathedral and less than a mile from Coventry train station.

Rooms range from singles to family rooms with 2 pull-out beds, where kids aged 15 and under eat and stay free with paying adults. In-room amenities feature free WiFi, pillow-top mattresses and en suite bathrooms with showers, as well as tea and coffee making facilities, TVs and desks.

There's an on-site Thyme restaurant/bar, as well as a Costa coffee shop and paid parking. Breakfast (an extra cost) includes all-you-can-eat and light choices.

Express By Holiday Inn Bath

With a convenient city center location, the Express By Holiday Inn Bath is a good choice for business and leisure travelers alike. It is just steps from Green Park, but it is also situated at a very easy walking distance from such historic sites as the Roman Baths, St. John's Church, Pulteney Bridge, Bath Abbey, Jane Austen Center, Victoria Park and the lovely Royal Crescent. The Express By Holiday Inn Bath is located along Lower Bristol Road and is less than one mile from the Bath Spa railway station.

The Griffin Inn Bath

The Griffin Inn boast's four star accommodation located on the peaceful Beauford Square, adjoining the elegant Queen's Square. Only a few steps away is the Theatre Royal and the Thermae Spa complex; providing a superb central base for exploring the city of Bath. This quaint, historic Grade II Listed Inn has been completely refurbished in 2009 to its Georgian glory, with five doubletwin rooms and two single rooms all of which are now en suite. Each room features an oversized bed, flat screen TV, iPod dock, Wi-Fi, desk, comfortable chair, and hot drink making facilities.

Hotel Review: Premier Inn Barnsley Dearne Valley, Wombwell, South Yorkshire, England - August 2016

I stayed at the Premier Inn Barnsley Dearne Valley in August 2016, two of us stayed for one night, which cost £60 for room only, booked with booking.com. The hotel itself is not on any major public transport routes, so it is necessary to drive there or take a taxi. The hotel is located South of Wombwell, near the border with Brampton in the South East of Barnsley. This hotel is no good for Barnsley town centre, unless you want to drive there. It is around a 10 minute drive from Barnsley South / Sheffield North on the M1 (Junction 36), followed by a route along the Dearne Valley Parkway (A6195), which is interrupted by numerous annoying roundabouts.

The hotel offers free parking, and has a car park which holds approximately 150 cars. Upon entering the hotel, you go straight to reception. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, and check-in was quick.

We were allocated room 40, which was on the first floor at the back of the hotel. The room was fairly large with a good sized double bed (please note, double not King). There was also a second single bed, which had been set out like a chaise lounge. The room had a desk, open style wardrobe, tea and coffee making facilities, and some drawers. There was no air conditioning, but there was a fan. The room was quite warm and stuffy.

Frustratingly, there were no plug sockets next to the bed, which annoyed me slightly, as this is a brand new hotel. WHY there weren't any is an oversight on Premier Inn's behalf, and shows that the people who design these rooms don't stop in enough hotels themselves.

The bathroom was fairly standard, it was a shower over a bath arrangement (unfortunately as is often the case). There was complimentary shower gel in the shower.

At night the room was very warm, so I opened the window, however there was noise from lorries at the retail park behind, which meant that the window had to be closed, and we had to endure an uncomfortably warm night in the hotel. Again this is an oversight on behalf of Premier Inn, the room should have had air conditioning.

The hotel is built next to a Brewer's Fayre pub, which like Premier Inn is owned by parent company Whitbread. The pub serves as the hotel's bar and restaurant. We had dinner there off of the menu, but found the prices expensive and the portions small, in other words they were not good value for money dishes. There was an evening buffet option, which I'm sure must have represented better value for money. One thing that was annoying was the amount of flies in the pub, they really do need to invest in an electronic fly zapper.

Breakfast was served buffet style, continental was £6.99 and full hot breakfast was £8.99. Both options included unlimited drinks.

The quality of the food was excellent, particularly the bacon and sausages, but once again the fly problem was evident, and I saw flies crawling on the cold items of the buffet, which put me completely off of them. All items on the buffet should have hygienic covers over them.

After going out for the evening, we arrived back at the hotel for 11:30pm on Saturday night to find the bar had 'closed'. This was quite disappointing for a hotel. We did notice some of the regulars enjoying a drink 'after hours', which was a little galling to use as hotel guests who had to go to bed with a cup of tea in the bedroom.

In summary, this hotel served it's purpose, it wasn't perfect, but overall I enjoyed my stay there. I would possibly consider staying there again, but not for definite.

We Went to a Harry Potter Inspired Cocktail Bar in London

So we saw this viral Facebook video of a potions/cocktail mixology class inspired by Harry Potter...and well we had to go to this Cocktail bar in London ASAP...

....especially seeing as the new Fantastic Beasts Crimes of Grindelwald movie out soon!

In the afternoon we we thought it was about time we finally did an afternoon tea experience...and go on a big red bus tour...so we did both at the same time.

It's so good to be back in London, we will be exploring the UK for the next 3 weeks as we jump on trains seeing cities and towns we haven't been to before!

If you fancy staying in one of the most unique coastal spots in England, then choose the New Inn Hotel, Clovelly, Bideford and experience an unforgettable destination. Holiday Inn Manchester City Centre

This is a relatively new build in Manchester having only opened in April 2016. This is my second time staying at The Holiday Inn Manchester city centre and I have to say I am extremely impressed with the hotel. No detail has been spared in making this a truely refreshing hotel to stay in. The minute you walk through the door you are in awe of the decor. The check in process is one of the best experiences I have had, staff are very friendly and welcoming. They are also very informative. Adjacent to the check in desk the Holiday Inn have there very own in-house bar and restaurant where you can eat to your hearts content. If it’s cocktails or a good top shelf gin your after then this is the perfect place to start your night off before heading to the bars in the city.
As for the rooms, they are definitely a home away from home. The beds are very comfortable and the detail that has gone into the bathrooms makes me keep coming back all the time. You have the option of taking a shower or having a nice relaxing soak in the bath to unwind from a days meetings or sightseeing.

Room 232 Premier Inn Bath Road Heathrow Airport Review.

We stayed at the Premier Inn on the Bath Road the night before we flew to Koh Samui. We got the train to Heathrow airport then a taxi to this hotel from terminal 2 which cost £14. There is also a hoppa bus for £5 each. However we did discover in the morning that the Heathrow Central Bus goes past this hotel and costs £1.50 per person but you can only pay by card and have to use different cards per person.

Campervan Trip: Tan Hill Inn & The Lake District

During the last few days of 2018 we met up with the Whippets and camped at the highest pub in England, The Tan Hill Inn, for the night, oh what a night that was with gale force winds rocking the van all night and whistling through the van vents. Then we travelled over the the coast of the Lake District and stayed in a lovely little campsite right on the beach. With great views, nice walks and a local pub that we seemed to be eating at every meal, it was a great time.
