The Nut, Stanley ( Great Short Walk #34 )
A walk around the top of The Nut at Stanley.
Tasmania's Great Short Walk #34.
We elected to get the chairlift up and then walk back down.
It's an easy 2km stroll around the summit, with spectacular views all around.

Stanley, Tasmania - the beauty of north-west coast in 1 minute
In May we explored incredible north-west coast of Tassie, Australia. We stayed in small town Stanley for 3 days and fall in love with it! See the magnificent Nut on video.
Remarkable Cave, Tasmania
Thankfully we explored this beautiful natural wonder during low tide .It was amazing to walk through the natural cave and explore the other side. We returned here a few days later and it was completely covered in water during high tide and wild weather.
【EDGE OF THE WORLD】TASMANIA (Gardiner Point, Arthur River)
Gardiners Point, south of Arthur River has been crowned the Edge of the World.
The sea west of Tasmania is the longest uninterrupted expanse of ocean on the globe. From Argentina the currents sweep unimpeded more than halfway around the planet until they hit this point.
Here, you can view a plaque of the words by Brian Inder (tourism pioneer):
I cast my pebble onto the shore of Eternity.
To be washed by the Ocean of time.
It has shape, form, and substance.
It is me.
One day I will be no more.
But my pebble will remain here.
On the shore of eternity.
Mute witness from the aeons.
That today I came and stood.
At the edge of the world.

Miena Dam and The Great Lake
Edited with CyberLink PowerDirector 15
MIENA
Miena is a small lakeside town with excellent fishing, stunning scenery and lakeside rest and play.
Located in the heart of Tasmania's central highlands, Miena is a popular shack village for holiday-makers and keen fishers with Great Lake the main attraction. This is Australia's second largest freshwater lake. It sits one kilometre above sea level and supplies hydroelectricity as well as a bounty of fresh fish for keen anglers.
It's also one of the coldest places in Tasmania, swelling in population in the warmer months and providing a stunning snow-covered landscape in winter that's best enjoyed by a log fire.
Activities in Miena are many and varied, from trout fishing and bushwalking to bird-watching and lakeside relaxation.
The nearby Central Plateau Conservation Area is known as the Land of a Thousand Lakes and contains a stunning glacial and alpine landscape that forms part of the Tasmanian World Heritage Wilderness Area.
Accommodation in and around Miena includes lakeside hotels and self-contained lodges and shacks.
Miena is a 1 hr 30-min drive (110 km) south from Launceston and a 1 hr 40-min drive (132 km) north from Hobart.
Caravan Trip Penguin Tasmania
Liffey Falls Tasmania.
Liffey Falls State Reserve is nestled within cool temperate rainforest on the slopes of the Great Western Tiers. Framed by the dominant species of Tasmania's cool temperate rainforests - myrtle, sassafrass and leatherwood, the falls are understandably a popular spot among both Tasmanians and visitors alike. A nature walk leads from a picnic area near the carpark down through forests of towering eucalypts and tree ferns to the falls. A number of smaller falls are passed along the way.
