VIA Train 14 The Ocean - BUDD Heritage Dome Montreal to Halifax
Time to mellow out aboard a 65 year old train that is still rolling through Atlantic Canada on its overnight journey to Halifax, Nova Scotia. Chat, make new friends, listen to music, and gaze upon the rural beauty of Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia in the Spring of '19.
Many annotations to explain things as we go along.

Via Rail - The Ocean Train - Moncton to Montreal
A trip on The Ocean, the Via Rail train that runs from Halifax to Montreal. The sleeping cabins are the best way to go. On this trip I was in a cabin for two. The lookout observation car gives a great view as you pass through New Brunswick and Quebec. The dining car is great and it's fun to meet other people travelling the old fashioned way.

An unforgetable journey on Via Rail Canada's Ocean Limited from Montreal to Campbellton, NB
In this video, I ride the Ocean Limited overnight from Montreal, Quebec to Campbellton, New Brunswick. The train was supposed to have left Montreal at 6:30pm with boarding time starting at 6pm sharp, but due to some mechanical problems we did not leave Montreal until 8:30pm! Thus we are running 2 hours behind schedule. The train stops for a break at Charny, Quebec to allow people to exercise their legs or take a smoke. A captured many great views of the scenery from the dome car otherwise known as the Park car. Enjoy the video!

Ocean Train
We took Train 14 (The Ocean) from Montreal to Halifax 8-9 November 2013. The weather was cloudy and cool, but the autumnal beauty of eastern Canada was visible through the windows. #78 'The Ocean' out of Montreal, PQ 2010-09-11
An evening departure of Canada's longest, continuously operating passenger train, 'The Ocean'. Running between Montreal, Quebec and Halifax, Nova Sctotia, the train has travelled a similar route since 1903. This version of 'The Ocean' now operates with a trainset of European-built cars, with a lone Park stainless-steel observation car carrying the markers.

It was so col to be in there watching scale rains navigate around a layout of mountains, rivrs bridges and cities, and the have a real train rumble above you. So sad its gone. Three F40PH rebuilds pull the train with 3 domes in its length, and Griffentown condos and the Montreal skylne in the background.
