20 Office Covered Bridge 1080
OFFICE COVERED BRIDGE Day 18 -- This was the first of about a dozen covered bridges that the Two Old Buzzards were visiting today. The Office Bridge is a covered bridge in Westfir, Lane County, Oregon, crossing the Middle Fork Willamette River. It is Oregon's longest covered bridge at 180 ft, and is one of only two in the state using triple Howe truss construction. It is the only covered bridge west of the Mississippi River which has a separate pedestrian walkway.
The bridge is a replacement for a 1941 bridge which washed away. It was built in 1944 by the Westfir Lumber Company to carry logging trucks and lumber trucks to the company's lumber mill and mill pond. The company headquarters and offices were located across the river beside National Forest Development Road 19, in what is now a bed and breakfast. The bed and breakfast retains the company's walk-in safe

Nestled in nature on the North fork of the Willamette. A beautiful custom contemporary. You feel at home from the moment you enter and set foot on the Brazilian cherry floors. The warmth of the woodwork brings comfort. The attentional to detail is apparent. Everything is custom: Douglas Fir cabinets & trim, Loewen wood windows, Hubbardton Forge fixtures, travertine, granite...

Let's Drive Across the World's Longest Covered Bridge... Four Times!
This drive takes you over the World's Longest Covered Bridge in Hartland, New Brunswick, twice forward, and twice in reverse! Enjoy!
MyDrivelapse.com and Takemytrip.com provide driving videos and stories to help you plan your trip. Check out hundreds of videos on my YouTube channel. Subscribe if you like it! Dozens of new videos are on the way in the coming weeks.
I made this trip in early October, 2016. Video shot with a Brinno TLC-200 Pro time-lapse camera, mounted on my roof with a homemade magnetic case. I travel with two Brinno cameras - one facing forward, the other in reverse. Sometimes the reverse camera captures better video (fewer raindrops and bugs hit the rear-view lens).
