Darlington- MIDDLETON-in-T from DMU front seats in 1963
The Journey Darlington – Barnard Castle – MIDDLETON-in-TEESDALE and Return, seen from the front of a (first generation) Diesel Multiple Unit train.
At Barnard Castle we see wagons loaded with the track removed from the line over Stainmore Summit, closed in 1962. A ride over this line can be seen at youtube.com/watch?v=KXObLbUn2gc .
Does Darlington Exist?
Freudian dogtags, alien stadiums and VIc Reeves as Danny Baker's claim that Dalrington doesn't exist is forensically investigated.

1961-2 Steam Rides: London Vic -Oxted-Tun.Wells West both ways
Two steam-hauled journeys, into Surrey and Sussex.
Firstly: London Victoria – East Croydon – Oxted – East Grinstead – Groombridge – Tunbridge Wells West. In passing we see the old complex of lines between Selhurst and Croydon; visit the long-gone 4-platform upper station at East Grinstead; and the line onward via Forest Row. Those who know today’s Victoria – East Grinstead route will see many other differences from today.
Secondly: The journey from Oxted, via Edenbridge Town to Tunbridge Wells West. Most of this route is now “The Uckfield Line.” Some is now part of the heritage Spa Valley Railway.
Apologies to residents of Royal Tunbridge Wells for abbreviating the name in the title of this upload. It is rather long.

Ride over STAINMORE SUMMIT DMU front view - Dec. 1961
The Journey Darlington – Barnard Castle – STAINMORE SUMMIT – Kirkby Stephen East – Penrith seen from the front of a (first generation) Diesel Multiple Unit train. Filmed in December 1961, only weeks before England’s highest passenger railway was closed.
As colour film at that era was unsuitable for the seasonal dull weather, Black and White film had to be used.
Once into the Eden Valley patchy fog was encounted.
Darlington to Tees Valley Junction can be seen in Colour as part of the Return Journey Darlington to Middleton-in-Teesdale and return at youtube.com/watch?v=UbScU4y80jg.

66778 'Darius Cheskin' & 47749 'City of Truro' - The York Moors Venturer - 21/04/18
After failing at Old Hill, GBRF 47749 'City of Truro' is dragged by 66778, terminating at York instead of Scarborough as originally planned over 3 hours late. 66778 then runs around the train at York ready for departure back to Newport (Which I unfortunately missed with the departure from York being 20 minutes early).

Visiting Bristol Day 1
Michael McIntyre walks off stage after woman in the front row uses phone
It is a well-known fact that if you sit in the front row during a stand-up show you'd better be on your best behaviour – or prepare to face a ribbing.
However, one woman at Michael McIntyre’s performance instead decided to keep using her phone, causing the comedian to walk off stage.
An angry McIntyre asked security to “sort it out” and promised the audience at Darlington's Civic Theatre he would be back, before he left the stage.
According to the Northern Echo, staff spoke to the woman and some members of the audience chanted for her to be removed from the venue.
The comedian returned to the stage several minutes later and carried on his act, in which he previewed material for his 2015 tour.
McIntyre 'heartbroken' by father's suicide secret
On Twitter, users expressed their reactions to the incident. Some praised McIntyre for refusing to put up with the woman’s
McIntyre is just the latest performer to have a show brought to a halt by a phone.
Oscar-winner Kevin Spacey had to reprimand a member of the audience when their phone rang out during a one-man show at London's Old Vic in June.
He had to halt the legal drama Clarence Darrow to call out: “If you don't answer that, I will!” He received a round of applause.
Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig's unflappable reaction to a phone call spoiling their Broadway show A Steady Rain in 2009 became an internet sensation.
“Don't be embarrassed, just grab the phone,” Jackman urged at one point.
