Remebering Dazzeland
This footage was shot in 1991 at the indoor theme park 'Dazzeland' which took up the top 2 levels of the Myer Centre in Adelaide, South Australia. I have fond memories of this place from my childhood and still find myself looking up at the barren roof of the Myer Centre expecting to see the Jazz Junction roller coaster roar past again.
Not sure what's happening on the right hand side of the video.

Vic Stefanu, vstefanu@yahoo.com. Brisbane is the capital and most populous city in the Australian state of Queensland, and the third most populous city in Australia. The country is known for its Sydney Opera House, the Great Barrier Reef, a vast interior desert wilderness called the Outback, and unique animal species like kangaroos and duck-billed platypuses.

Museum of Brisbane: Stories from the City
This film travels around the city of Brisbane to bring the most obscure and intriguing stories back to the Museum. It does this via a bicycle that's equipped with 256 ultra-bright LEDs on each wheel.
At speed, the LEDs blend to show a video animation and the wheels become a lens to the past. For example, a Bengal tiger named Jimmy who chased a man along Turbot Street in1888. Or Australia's first experimental TV broadcast that took place from a windmill on Wickham Terrace.
But really, they're just a tease to visit the Museum of Brisbane and find out more.
Trees of Brisbane - Charles Jenkins
Brisbane is the capital and most populous city in the Australian state of Queensland and the third most populous city in Australia. Brisbane is named after the river on which it sits which, was named after Sir Thomas Brisbane, the Governor of New South Wales from 1821 to 1825.
One way to experience Brisbane in one day is by visiting its historic building and sites, and its retail precints at Queen Street mall.
Brisbane City Hall, then the city's tallest building and the Shrine of Remembrance, in ANZAC Square, which has become Brisbane's main war memorial was built in 1930s.
These historic buildings along with the Story Bridge, which opened in 1940 are key landmarks that help define the character of the city.
The Old Windmill, in Wickham Park, built by convict labour in 1824, is the oldest surviving building in Brisbane. The Old Windmill was originally used for the grinding of grain and a punishment for the convicts who manually operated the grinding mill.
Newstead House is the oldest house in Brisbane. This house was built by Brisbane's first architect and builder Andrew Petrie for fellow Scottish settler Patrick Leslie in 1846 on the Breakfast Creek bank of the Brisbane River, in the suburb of Newstead. Patrick Leslie was the first squatter on the Darling Downs, and the first person to buy land in Warwick, Queensland.
The building was occupied by American troops during World War II. An Australian-American War Memorial was built in the grounds of Newstead House in memory of this.
If you book a half day tour of the city, the tour guide will most likely bring you to Hamilton, an inner northern suburb of Brisbane.
In Brisbane's early history, Hamilton was the home to many aristocrats and clergy. This suburb is known for being an old wealth . Many of Brisbane's iconic mansions of Queenslander architecture can be found in Hamilton.
Queenslander buildings are primarily of timber construction and can be low or high-set, one to two storeys. They are typically tripartite in sectional composition; underfloor (stumps), primary rooms (can be two levels), and roof. All have one or more veranda spaces. This consideration for climate is the defining characteristic of the Queenslander type.
At the last part of your tour, make sure to leave plenty of time to explore Queen Street Mall, which has a vast array of cafes, restaurants, cinemas, gift shops and shopping centres and is home to many luxury international retailers, such as MaxMara, Bally, Mont Blanc, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany and Co., Oroton, Polo Ralph Lauren, Bvlgari, Hugo Boss, Hermes, and more.

Brisbane is the capital and most populous city in the Australian state of Queensland, and the third most populous city in Australia. The Brisbane central business district stands on the original European settlement and is situated inside a bend of the Brisbane River, about 15 kilometres from its mouth at Moreton Bay. The metropolitan area extends in all directions along the floodplain of the Brisbane River Valley between Moreton Bay and the Great Dividing Range, sprawling across several of Australia's most populous local government areas (LGAs), most centrally the City of Brisbane, which is by far the most populous LGA in the nation. The demonym of Brisbane is Brisbanite.
One of the oldest cities in Australia, Brisbane was founded upon the ancient homelands of the Indigenous Turrbal and Jagera peoples. Named after the Brisbane River on which it is located – which in turn was named after Scotsman Sir Thomas Brisbane, the Governor of New South Wales from 1821 to 1825 – the area was chosen as a place for secondary offenders from the Sydney Colony. A penal settlement was founded in 1824 at Redcliffe, 28 kilometres north of the central business district, but was soon abandoned and moved to North Quay in 1825, opening to free settlement in 1842. The city was marred by Aboriginal conflict between 1843-1855, and development was partly set back by the Great Fire of Brisbane, and the Great Brisbane Flood. Brisbane was chosen as the capital when Queensland was proclaimed a separate colony from New South Wales in 1859. During World War II, Brisbane played a central role in the Allied campaign and served as the South West Pacific headquarters for General Douglas MacArthur.
Today, Brisbane is well known for its distinct Queenslander architecture which forms much of the city's built heritage. It also receives attention for its damaging flood events, most notably in 1974 and 2011. The city is a popular tourist destination, serving as a gateway for visitors to the state of Queensland, particularly to the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast, popular resort towns immediately south and north of Brisbane, respectively. Several large cultural, international and sporting events have been held at Brisbane, including the 1982 Commonwealth Games, World Expo '88, the final Goodwill Games in 2001, and the 2014 G-20 summit.

Projection mapping onto old windmill 2015
'Wind blisters those who try to run' is a projection artwork/mapping on Brisbane's Old Windmill by Alinta Krauth at UR{BNE} Festival, 2015. This artwork includes audio also created by the artist, excerpts of which can be heard overlaying this footage. 'Wind blisters those who try to run' was produced in association with Engage Arts.
'Wind blisters those who try to run' is an experiment in 2D hand-drawn animation that draws on the windmill's dark past. It comprised around 1.5 hours of animated content, cut into different scenes that the artist manipulated during the event. This windmill is Brisbane's oldest iconic building, and the oldest of its kind in Australia. This is the first time this building has been engaged in projection art. More information on this artwork, this building, and this event, can be found at alintakrauth.com/windblisters.
Thanks to the KTPG Hanmadang Inc. dance group who also feature in some of this footage.
