06 Holland
Elisabeth Luard's trip begins with a visit to a family living in a houseboat to share their traditional Hutspot. She then visits a miller grinding wheat for sale to a baking co-operative, and one of the oldest Genever distilleries in Holland. An interval to sample a Dutch favourite, raw new herring, is followed by a visit to a cheese making co-operative in Gouda and then to a friend to learn how to make spice cake. Finally, having been fitted with clogs, she learns how to make brown beans with soured milk sauce, a dish so traditional that it is the subject of a traditional dance.

HEMA, the dutch discounter that became a world player (Documentary, 2012)
This documentary takes an economic perspective, painting a candid picture of how the Dutch chain store HEMA has had to adapt to modern times and globalization to continue as a major player on the highly competitive retail market. It's all about expansion, even as far as China. But do foreign countries really need quintessentially Dutch concepts such as uniform pricing, the classic HEMA smoked sausages and timeless ladies' dresses? The CEO is convinced they do. He has little choice, because without expansion his company - with an annual turnover of 1.3 billion euros, over 600 stores in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Germany, and 10,000 employees - won't survive. He shows just how unstable globalization can be. Take China, for example: it's no longer the production paradise it once was because it simply takes too long for products to reach the stores. So it's off to Turkey. Chinese filmmaker Yan Ting Yuen, who came to the Netherlands at the age of six, followed the passionate CEO for a year, trying to find out what makes HEMA so unique. It turns out to be about more than just smoked sausages, as shown by the success of the new stores in France, where customers stuff their baskets with coffee mugs and Dutch syrup waffles.

Why ecstasy might become legal
The Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies, or MAPS for short, is conducting a series of tests to find out if the illegal drug MDMA, also known as Ecstasy, could be used to treat Post Traumatic Stress disorder. If approved, the drug could become legal and available for treatment starting in 2021.
We recently talked to Chris Kilham, a medicine hunter who travels the world searching for natural remedies through medicinal plant research. We asked Kilham to break down the history of MDMA, and what MAPS hopes to accomplish with their Phase III study.

Family life & dissociative identity disorder - Dutch taste USA candy - Double Most Stuffed Oreos
In this video you will meet our 9 year old son Jay. Our native language is Dutch and he has been speaking English for about 6 months. After the dutch people taste USA candy we ask Jay some questions about DID. We also explain to him that he indeed meets other alters but that he does not notice it. The response of our son is so minimal. Its his normal. Its not a problem for him. Its not a shock. Its just information, like any other. Parenting with DID is a challenge but its very well possible. We hope you enjoyed this video!
We are a dissociative identity disorder plural system. We got diagnosed in 2012 and since then have been reading everything we could get our hands on. By now we have over a 100 videos, many of which are educational. We are in no way expects or doctors. Nor can or should our videos replace your doctors advice or medication.
