Gundiah
This former railway siding is named after the local aboriginal word for 'goodbye' and the area was initially known as 'Gootchie'.
The main building in the town is the pub, the Prince Alfred Hotel. The original Prince Alfred Hotel was built in 1868 but was destroyed by fire. The existing pub was built in 1947.
Gundiah has a school and community oval and the nearby Emery's Bridge to enjoy a quick dip on a hot summer's day or just to visit the peaceful Mary River.
Gootchy Post Office opened on 1st July 1869, was renamed Gundiah in 1882 and closed in 1978.
Timber getting or harvesting was the first economic venture in the area and has remained an important industry in the district.
From Gundiah, you can continue on to Munna Creek on the Woolooga Road.

Childers Festival, Queensland
The Childers festival is held in Childers which is in the Bundaberg region. It features an amazing array of food, culture, entertainment & fun.

It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 24 September 1999.The Boolboonda Railway Tunnel opened 12 November 1883 following a construction period of two years. It was built by Queensland Government Railways as part of the Bundaberg to Mount Perry railway line.

A corridor with floor to ceiling book shelves, leads to the sitting/dressing room, and cedar-lined walk-in robe. The master suite is rounded off by a stunning full marble bathroom, with its double shower recess, and two hand basins.
THE GARDEN
The house has a gorgeous, manageable garden which rolls down to meet the warm sand on Holloways Beach. A main feature of the garden is the large paved deck leading off the dining room, perfect for a garden lunch party or evening BBQ. And there's an additional shaded patio off the living room. Swaying coconut palms, white Spider Lilies, Frangipani trees and blooming Hibiscus are just some of the easy-maintenance, topical plants growing in and around the garden.

Ululah Lagoon, Maryborough Qld
Once a favourite spot for aboriginal corroborees, the area is now a beautiful park, centred on the Ululah Lagoon. In 1852, the first land sales were held for the new town here, in a simple slab hut. Horse-drawn scoops were used to clear the lagoon to form Maryborough’s first water supply in 1859. The lagoon is now surrounded by a walk and cycle path which is also frequently in use by the abundant wildlife who make the lagoon home. ANZAC Park being Maryborough’s major playground contains a skate bowl, children's fort, flying fox and other play equipment, barbecues, picnic facilities and toilet blocks. The park also has facilities for visitors with a disability including a liberty swing.
5k run.The course is at Anzac Park/Ululah Lagoon, Maryborough. The course is run on a mixture of bitumen paths and concrete paths. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain. Dependent on availability, marshals will be at key sections of the course, or signs will be in place.
