Haunted History of : The Old Post Office ,Springfield Street,Warrington Cheshire, England
Warrington is a large town , on the banks of the River Mersey, 20 miles east of Liverpool, and 20 miles west of Manchester.Warrington was founded by the Romans at an important crossing place on the River Mersey. A new settlement was established by the Saxons. By the Middle Ages, Warrington had emerged as a market town at the lowest bridging point of the river. A local tradition of textile and tool production dates from this time.

Possibly, given these clear discrepancies about what exactly was seen depending upon the witness you spoke to, the scare was actually the result of some kind of optical illusion, whether related to a flaw or pattern inherent within the window pane itself or otherwise...????????
Another series of sightings of a supposedly supernatural figure in a window happened in Warrington between 1920 and 1929, in a top-floor window of the old Springfield Street Post Office near Palmyra Square. Here, the first incident occurred when a lady passing by happened to look up and saw either a little old woman or a small girl peering out of the window and waving at her. Upon going inside and asking the post office manager who this person was and what exactly she wanted, she was told that the room in question was only used for storage, and that there was nobody inside there at all. Other such sightings followed, over a period of several years, but the time when a group of twenty or more pupils from Friars Green Sunday School out marching past the building on the morning of the annual Walking Day (a kind of church parade — a big tradition in Warrington) in 1929 looked up and saw an old woman perched there signalling to them through the window, was perhaps the most interesting of all. Intriguingly, the vicar who was accompanying the marchers said that he thought it was a little girl, and not an old woman at all, who could be observed through the glass.

MetroBus restoration of Ashton Avenue Swing Bridge
Find out more about the MetroBus restoration of Ashton Avenue Swing Bridge. The 110 year old bridge is a Grade 2 listed structure and was on a listed buildings at risk register before MetroBus started its £3.8million refurbishment.
The MetroBus refurbishment has completely transformed the bridge and preserved an important part of Bristol’s walking and cycling infrastructure for future generations. The bridge now has a 3.5 metre pedestrian and cycle track that is wider, smoother and safer than the previous path. MetroBus services will also use the bridge to provide bus passengers with fast and frequent services from Long Ashton Park and Ride to Bristol Temple Meads, the city centre and the north of the city.
