We split open one mussel. And then we open another one to slice its meat. We use some techniques to introduce that meat into the first mussel, which is around 10 centimetres in size, like this size here, can you see? This is the first process.

We developed new products. After we achieved that, our products can even compete with the saltwater pearls coming from the South Pacific. The jewellery industry is very unfair. We, as wholesalers, are making the rough process, but our profits are very limited. Once we are faced with something like the financial crisis, it's easy for us to lose all the business. That's why we have to do the processing. We make the products and sell them directly to the consumers, so we can avoid the middlemen that increase the costs a lot. That way our profits can increase.

Pearl Jewelry At Famous Pearl Center In Shanghai, China
Pearls are beautiful and can be used in jewellery to make stunning creations. Apparently there are as many as 17 different types of pearls and these fall into three main categories – natural, cultured and imitation.Natural pearls are formed inside molluscs, most commonly oysters and mussels. The process begins when an irritant gets inside the shell. This could be something as small as a tiny grain of sand or little stone. In order to protect the surface inside the mollusc a secretion known as nacre is secreted around the irritant. Layer upon layer of this lustrous substance builds up and so the pearl is formed. This rather amazingly can take up to seven or eight years.
Cultured pearls as the name suggests are cultivated by human intervention. Foreign material serving the same purpose as the irritant in natural pearls, is implanted inside the mollusc. It takes 2 – 4 years for the pearls to be created in saltwater and 2 – 7 years for freshwater pearls.

How To Identify Real VS Fake Pearls - Pearl Factory Shanghai
Pearls are beautiful and can be used in jewelry to make stunning creations. But how much do we actually know about them? Apparently there are as many as 17 different types of pearls and these fall into three main categories – natural, cultured and imitation. The most valuable pearls are perfectly symmetrical, relatively large and produced naturally. They shine and shimmer and have an iridescence known as orient lustre. The main oyster beds lie in the Persian Gulf, along the coasts of India and Sri Lanka, and in the Red Sea. Chinese pearls come mainly from freshwater rivers and ponds, whereas Japanese pearls are found near the coast in salt water.
Imitation pearls are man-made objects designed to look like real pearls. They can be made from a variety of materials including glass, plastic and even small pieces of mollusc shell and a number of methods are used. Coating beads with a pearlescent type substance helps to imitate the iridescence of nacre. However they can easily be identified as imitation as they lose their lustre very quickly. They are of no monetary value.

The Oriental Pearl Tower, Shanghai, China | RehaAlev
A nice sunny Sunday in Shanghai just demands for a visit to the Oriental Pearl Tower. Apparently I wasn't the only one with this idea. The sightseeing floor was extremely crowded and loud, which made audio and video recording challenging.

China–Pakistan relations began in 1950 when Pakistan was among the first countries to end official diplomatic relations with the Republic of China or Taiwan and recognize the PRC. Since then, both countries have placed considerable importance on the maintenance of an extremely close and supportive special relationship[1][2][3] and the two countries have regularly exchanged high-level visits resulting in a variety of agreements. The PRC has provided economic, military and technical assistance to Pakistan and each considers the other a close strategic ally
Glass-bottomed skywalk,Oriental Pearl Tower, Shanghai.
Shanghai . . the Oriental Pearl Tower .The Oriental Pearl Tower is no longer the tallest structure in Shanghai. It was surpassed by the Shanghai World Financial Center in 2007.
The Oriental Pearl Tower consists of 3 main whole-scope sightseeing spheres. Visitors can enjoy the dynamic city view at different heights as there are observation decks in each of these 3 spheres. The highest sphere is at 350 meters above sea level, and is called the Space Module. We gave up trying to get to this sphere because of the long queue.
The second sphere is located at 259 to 267 meters above the ground. It has 3 levels. The top one is a revolving restaurant which is the highest revolving restaurant in Asia at 267 meters above sea level. We had buffet lunch here. The lower 2 levels are viewing platforms. From the main sightseeing floor at 263 meters above sea level we descended to 259 meters above sea level in an elevator. Here there is a glass bottomed sightseeing floor where visitors can look down at the Huangpu River and keep the beautiful scenery of both sides of Huangpu River in view. The experience is like standing on air above the Shanghai city. My legs were petrified. I was scared to move.

ORIENTAL PEARL TOWER in SHANGHAI, CHINA. Complete coverage, Day and Night.
This video is part of our One Week Fantastic Holiday in Shanghai, Cina, in July-August 2019. This part covers our visit to Oriental Pearl Tower in Pudong District. It was too many visitors in this summer holiday. It need about 2 hours to spend only for queue to get in the elevator. But the view from Space Capsule (the top observatory) was amazing. We were lucky, the weather is very good, so the view was very clear. We also enjoyed the night view of Shanghai City since we left the tower around 8 pm. This is the last day of our holiday in Shanghai; from Oriental Pearl Tower - we straight go to Pudong International Airport to flight back to Indonesia.
