Visiting Pier-2 Art Center 駁二藝術特區, which is an art center in Yancheng District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
Originally, the Arts Center was an abandoned warehouse site because of Kaohsiung's shift from industrial city to city of service.
The art center of Pier 2 is divided into district of Dayi, district of Dayong and district of Penglai.
There are many interesting art shops and some small shops with special characteristics, as well as regular art exhibitions and performances, such as occasional art performances.
Refuting is not only a general art space, but it has also added a strong artistic atmosphere to the city port due to the participation of these art exhibitions and programs.
Come to Kaohsiung, don't miss to visit the Pier-2 Art Center. Also a great place to check in and take photos. The light rail can be a very convenient transportation to bring you here.

The Pier-2 Art Center (Chinese: 駁二藝術特區; pinyin: Bó Èr Yìshù Tèqū) is an art center in Yancheng District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
The arts center was originally an abandoned warehouse site due to Kaohsiung's shift from industrial city to service city. The warehouses were built in 1973. Due to the persistence of local artists, the area was finally released and remade to be an arts center. In 2006, the Bureau of Cultural Affairs of Kaohsiung City Government and under management of the Kaohsiung Pier-2 Art Development Association and Shu-Te University's art development workshop took over the center, starting a series of exhibitions.

The Pier-2 Art Center ( 駁二藝術特區) is an art center in Yancheng District, Kaohsiung. The arts center was originally an abandoned warehouse site due to Kaohsiung's shift from industrial city to service city. The warehouses were built in 1973. Due to the persistence of local artists, the area was finally released and remade to be an arts center. In 2006, the Bureau of Cultural Affairs of Kaohsiung City Government and under management of the Kaohsiung Pier-2 Art Development Association and Shu-Te University's art development workshop took over the center, starting a series of exhibitions. The center is accessible within walking distance South West from Yanchengpu Station of Kaohsiung MRT.

You’ll find newly-opened Now and Then by N.Y.B.C. in warehouse C9 of the Pier-2 Art Center. Owned by Taiwan’s N.Y. Bagels Café chain, which introduced imported New York bagels to Taiwan in 1998 (the Taiwanese owner, a long-time resident of Long Island, New York, had fallen in love with the region’s delis), this is the chain’s first bistro-style café. It’s an airy place with high windows that draw streams of sunlight into the main-level gallery and second-level loft. The relaxed hipster ambience is both captured and promoted by a wall-mounted quote from Hemingway’s The Old Man and the Sea: “Every day above earth is a good day.” On offer are hand-crafted coffees, mixed alcoholic drinks and imported/local beers, smoothies, shakes, etc., plus Western-style cakes/pastries. Notably tasty dishes on the menu are the Fried Oyster Po’ Boy, Spicy Shredded Chipotle Chicken Sandwich, and Grilled Ham Benedict.
