By creating Mawi Play Café, we thought of parents, children, the whole family, and friends by designing the best and most complete Kids’ Party Place to celebrate your children’s Birthday. We offer a safe, and attractive Indoor Playground in Miami, and Doral, full of activities, areas for young children, and a video game area for the no so little ones!
Our idea was to create a place in which both parents and kids could have a great time together in a safe and fun place. Below Decks is a beautiful marina restaurant on Beacon Quay, overlooking Torquay's historic harbour. Baked in sunshine from sunrise to sunset, the full flavour of our fabulous harbour is available in the unique environment of Below Decks.
Watch the marine world go by with our picturesque alfresco seating and we even have heated parasols to warm the evening chill. If the weather takes a turn for the worse, our superb indoor environment can cater for any of your function needs.
We are proud to locally source our produce, ensuring the freshest ingredients make it to your plate and we specialise in beautifully cooked fish dishes. Our signature dish, Moules 'n' Frites, is famous across the English Riviera.
The marine theme continues with our delicious seaside Fish and Chips, served in Beer Batter with crushed minted peas. We also conjure up a fabulous selection of Prawn dishes, a Calamari spectacular, magnificent Mackerel and exquisite Blanchbait.
Our Paella Nights on the first Friday of every summer month have become very popular, as we bring the taste of Spain to the Bay.

Below Decks is a terrific location for private functions, birthdays, anniversaries and even weddings. Last year, we staged a Halloween party for the young ghouls and goblins of Torbay. We work on the simple ethos of 'work hard, play hard' and that is instilled in all our staff at Below Decks. We encourage a happy working environment and that approach translates to a happy dining experience for our customers.
Below Decks is blessed by a fantastic location, giving us the best seat in the house for some of Torbay's Premier Events. The Red Arrows, Fireworks, Sailing Regattas and much more can be enjoyed while supping a cold beer or wine on our luxurious sun deck. Sisters Adele and Gayle learned the trade growing up in the Norcliffe Hotel on Babbacombe Downs, and they joined forces with sister-in law Michele from the Downs Hotel. The trio have developed Below Decks from a run-down café to one of Torbay's finest and most relaxing restaurants, but don't just take our word for it, come and see for yourself.
