Madison takes The PlayStation Café and Adventure Park | Things to do in Cape Town | AbsoluteMadi 101
We decided to take Madison to The PlayStation Café and Adventure Park in Tokai for a 2-hour play session. She had such a ball of a time in the mini market play area, as well as the toddler’s play area where she was able to do one of her favourite things…puzzles.
The staff was extremely friendly and work so well with the kids. We’ll definitely be going back when she’s tall enough for the older kids’ section too.

The Ting Goes...To Cape Town...To EAT!
This was one of my very few trips to Cape Town.
Oh how I have missed the Mother City like a fat kid (on a diet) misses chocolate cake!
As you can tell by now... I LOVE FOOD!!!
These are only a few places we went to! There were more but we were so engrossed in the food that we forgot to film!
Please do enjoy and pop me a DM if you have any video requests!
P.s: I do apologise if you can't really hear me in the beginning and end... There were so many Youths around me!

Family Food Adventure - The Garden Route
The garden route is a 300km stretch a long the South Eastern coast of South Africa. We hired a car from Cape Town and started our road trip which ends in Johannesburg. In this video we show some of the highlights of part of this journey along the garden route.
Places we enjoyed along the way, which will help you to plan your own trip.
Stellenbosch
Tokara delicatessen, Amazing farm produce, a creative and delicious menu. Great for kids as there is a play ground outside where peacocks Rome free and a nice kids menu. Local products/wines for sale, friendly staff, open fire and relaxed atmosphere.
Franschoek:
Accommodation: lovely family run house. Liz made us feel so at home.
We enjoyed a fabulous restaurant called Marigolds, an Indian restaurant and I can safely say the best Indian I’ve ever had.... I know in South Africa, who would have thought?
We enjoyed a hike to breakfast rock ( Uitkyk trail) and had a picnic. You have various hikes depending on how energetic your feeling but it’s not difficult with kids.
Simondium:
On the way to Hermanus we stopped at Babylonstoren, one of the oldest cape Dutch farms. Amazing garden of fruit and vegetables, there is also a hotel, great food, wine and incredible for the kids to run around safely in the enormous farm grounds, ideal when travelling a lot by car. We ate at the greenhouse, a casual cafe serving wonderful homemade dishes, served on wooden crates. Fresh bread cooked from wood-fired oven. A wonderful experience. I learnt that you can cook water Lilly slowly and ideal in stews.
Hermanus:
Accommodation: A very helpful manager, called Nato welcomed us and even managed to book us straight away on the whale spotting boat for the next morning. Thankfully, as the boats did not run afterwards because of weather. The company was whale cruiser and they were fabulous. We had not been in the boat for 10 minutes before we approached the whales. Overwhelming to watch these elegant, enormous, Southern Right whales, who gather to breed in Hermanus between June to December.
We had a lunch in a gorgeous cafe called Betty blue bistro. Best dish: crepes with babootie (South African speciality made of mince beef, egg, raisins, slow cooked sweet and savoury curry). Clever way to present a traditional dish in a modern way. Delicious.
We had a dinner at Chard, a steak restaurant. A wonderfully handsome man with outfit incredible showed us the cuts of meat. We chose the ribeye and we were not disappointed. In Africa they do have great steak.
Knysna:
Accommodation: well this was incredible and a big surprise for our kids. We slept inside a tent in a fabulous tree house, with a never ending view. Owners were so friendly. We recommend to bring food as their is a kitchen. If your not so organised like we were not, the owners organised a takeaway from nearby restaurant for us which was delivered to our door.
Buffels bay, a beach in which we had all to ourselves. Wonderful stretch of sand where the kids ran and played and again a good stop when your travelling a lot by car.
Plettenberg Bay:
Radical Raptors which is a rehabilitation centre, they rescue and rehabilitate birds of prey. We enjoyed the birds flying over our heads, on to our hands and learning about these magnificent birds that you never get close to normally. Also a simple and healthy cafe next door and a playground in front for the kids. I think by now you can see South Africa is a fabulous place for kids. Many restaurants have areas for kids to play and everyone is very friendly and welcoming.
Port Elizabeth:
Accommodation: Our chalet overlooked a river, where we sat outside on the deck and enjoyed the view. At the main house where we enjoyed breakfasts of full cooked English, homemade jams, freshly squeezed orange and lemon juice from their vineyards. Views incredible and again a playground for the kids, with a zip line to our kids massive enjoyment.
Addo Elephant Park:
We tried to drive the safari ourselves but without much success so the afternoon we hired a guide who joined us in our car. He had the knowledge of where the animals were and we saw so many this way. Even two lions but unfortunately they were quite far.
In the following video you will see much much more so please subscribe and enjoy. I hope this helps you to plan an exciting trip in South Africa.

Be Up Park - Cape Town 4 Kids!
A Fun day out at Be Up Park in Pinelands.
capetown4kids.com
Be Up Park in Pinelands is much more than a trampoline park. It has four different play areas.
AltiGame which is a Jungle Gym in the Sky according to Angelique. From Be Up's Website: The AltiGame concept is an aerial play area, 5 meters from the ground. You, with a helmet provided by be.UP Park, progress in total security on games similar to those of an adventure: you are going through barrels, walking on planks, cubes and even riding a skateboard attached to a wire!
Trampoline Zone: Be Up Park has a very nice Trampoline Zone filled with colorful trampolines and a giant airbag for the kids to try acrobatics on.
Clip 'n Climb: All different types of climbing walls and structures for the braver ones amongst us....
Kids Maze: Be up Park's Kids Maze is just a ginourmous Jungle Gym as Connor and Angelique describes it. From teh Be Up Park website: Filled with brightly coloured tubes, tunnels, ball ponds, trampolines and slides, our huge maze gives kids the chance to climb, slide and throw themselves about for one action-packed hour.
They also have a Cafe with some great snacks and free wifi for parents to use while they relax with a Cafe late.
