Stockport is a large town in Greater Manchester, England. It lies on elevated ground 7 miles (11 km) south-east of Manchester city centre, at the point where the rivers Goyt and Tame merge to create the River Mersey. Stockport is the largest settlement in the metropolitan borough of the same name.

Compton theatre organ at the Plaza cinema Stockport.
The wonderful Compton theatre organ being played by organist Paul Greenwood at the amazingly restored Art Deco Plaza Cinema in Stockport, England. The cinema was originally opened in October 1932, and has since been extensively restored by The Stockport Plaza Trust over the years since they took ownership in 2000. The Plaza cinema has been restored to the exact same condition as the day it opened in 1932, with great attention to detail!

Stockport Frog Auction | Mercedes-Benz of Stockport
On Thursday the 17th October 2019 Mercedes-Benz of Stockport held a charity auction to raise money for the Tree House children’s unit at Stepping Hill Hospital.
With the support of Stockport’s local businesses, the Stockport community, and Totally Stockport we raised a whopping £31,000 for the charity, which was an amazing result!
With over 120 guests attending the brand-new Mercedes-Benz dealership in Stockport, we made a giant leap to help such a great cause and would like to thank each and every one of you who made it to the event.
We are truly humbled by your generosity and you all dug very deep for a fabulous cause. This donation for Stepping Hill Hospital will provide an extra boost and support for those caring for the children at the hospital.
We are so proud to be a part of this great journey and hope to support more causes like this in the future.
