Polebridge Mercantile
Located in possibly the most remote place in the continental United States, the Polebridge Mercantile has been doing business for 100 years.
The Mercantile (2013)
THE MERCANTILE, Directed by Brian Bolster
Nestled in a remote mountain valley and at the foot door of Montana's Glacier National Park, the historic Polebridge Mercantile dutifully endures as one of the last outposts of its kind in the American West. THE MERCANTILE steps into the working lives of Flannery Coats and Stuart Reiswig, the young couple whose search for the ideal marriage location yielded them the most unforeseen and rewarding challenges of their lives-proprietorship and preservation of a century-old, unchanged business enterprise in a modern and ever-changing world.

Sometimes a long, bumpy road is just what you're craving — not something that stands between you and where you want to go, but a sign that you're almost there. The North Fork Road — just across the North Fork of the Flathead River from the western edge Glacier National Park — is perhaps the best long, bumpy road in the world, because at the end lies Polebridge, Montana.
A place without electricity (save the odd solar panel), Polebridge boasts some of the tastiest baked goods you've ever come across and access to some of the prettiest and least-well-known spots in all of Glacier National Park.
It's just one of the hundreds of places to eat, play, and stay in Montana that have been added by locals and fellow travelers to

Glacier National Park - Logan Pass - Going to the Sun Road (Complete no Cut)
Going to the sun road (East to West) film with Karma Steadicam by Go-Pro July 2018
Going-to-the-Sun Road is a scenic mountain road in the Rocky Mountains of the western United States, in Glacier National Park in Montana. The Sun Road, as it is sometimes abbreviated in National Park Service documents, is the only road that traverses the park, crossing the Continental Divide through Logan Pass at an elevation of 6,646 feet (2,026 m), which is the highest point on the road.
The road is approximately 50 miles (80 km) long and spans the width of the park between the east and west entrance stations.
The two-lane Going-to-the-Sun Road is quite narrow and winding with hairpin turns, especially west of Logan Pass. Consequently, vehicle lengths over the highest portions of the roadway are limited to no longer than 21 feet (6.4 m) and no wider than 8 feet (2.4 m) between Avalanche Creek and Rising Sun picnic areas which are located many miles below Logan Pass, on the west and east sides of the pass, respectively. Vehicles over 10 feet (3.0 m) in height may not have sufficient clearance due to rock overhangs when driving west between Logan Pass and the hairpin turn called the Loop.
