Dom Coyote: We Can Time Travel - Tue 30 Oct 2018
This lyrical new solo piece of gig-theatre, to a backdrop of 80’s synths and drum machines, is a story of adventure, hope and the urgency of living in the now.
Dom has found a message, hidden in a cassette tape his grandad sent to him 15 years ago. Some people think it's a key. A key to time travel. Join Dom has he takes us back to the day that his grandfather was lost at sea in a desperate quest to save him.
Inspired by HG Wells’ 1895 novella, The Time Machine, with a music style reminiscent of alternative pop classics from Kate Bush and poetic storytelling with the political dynamism of Kate Tempest – We Can Time Travel is a playful contemporary fable for our times and a loving homage to the music and blockbuster movies that inspired a generation – from Back to the Future to Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
We Can Time Travel is commissioned by Shoreditch Town Hall and supported by Quarterhouse Folkestone and Bristol Ferment. Funded by Arts Council England, Unity Theatre Trust and Golsoncott Foundation.

Winter Morning Drive Through Cellardyke East Neuk Of Fife Scotland
Tour Scotland video of Winter morning drive through Cellardyke on ancestry visit to the East Neuk Of Fife. I was raised in this old fishing village on the East coast and attended Cellardyke Primary School and Waid Academy in Ansruther. I was raised a Dyker. Cellardyke was formerly known as Nether Kilrenny, Scots for Lower Kilrenny, or Sillerdyke, and the harbour as Skinfast Haven, a name which can still be found on maps today. The harbour was built in the 16th century and was rebuilt between 1829 and 1831. By 1860 Cellardyke was a thriving town, with more than fifty boat owners and skippers year round, and one hundred other captains joining in for the annual herring fishing drive or Lammas drave which took place around the Lammas festival on August 1st. There was also a February surge in fishing, when shoals of herring arrived in the Firth of Forth. The fish curers of Cellardyke salted and smoked cod and herring from Anstruther as well as their own fish, sending some to London, and some as far as the West Indies. The village is located on the Fife Coastal Path

Where are the Bleeding Heart Liberals now?
Lynne asks are we mad as the UK Borders Agency tells Professor John Tulloch he is no longer welcome or needed by the United Kingdom.
He was born to British parents in colonial India and classed as a British subject without citizenship. He became an Australian citizen in the 1990s and his British passport was confiscated. His entire family all hold British passports. Doesn't he have the same right to a family life as the vile murderous pondlife the courts allow to stay in Britain? Not so Great anymore!

Boat & Car sinking.
This is what happens when you try to take your boat out on the beach when the boat is full of water, a friend of mine Steve in his Hilux dragged both the car and boat out. All happened at Palm Cove QLD.

Eugene McGuinness (born 1985 in London, England) is a singer/songwriter signed to Domino Records. Swaggering yet soulful, anthemic but sonically experimental, The Invitation To The Voyage is the second full-length album from the 26-year-old Londoner and his most fully realised artistic statement to date. Recorded with the dual assistance of producers Clive Langer (Elvis Costello, Morrissey, Madness) and Dan Carey (MIA, Hot Chip, Santigold), 'The Invitation' is a bombastic, brave update on a distinctly English strand of guitar-pop songwriting that celebrates the beautiful and the bizarre in modern life.

Emily Barker - Lord I Want An Exit (The Toerag Sessions)
The Toerag Sessions -
Emily Barker's new album is a collection of solo versions of her songs, recorded live to 2-track tape at Toerag Studios in London with grammy-winning producer Liam Watson (The White Stripes - Elephant).
In the album's sleeve notes, she explains how the idea came about: over the last few years, in between touring with my bands The Red Clay Halo and Vena Portae, I've played lots of solo shows. Often people will come up to me at the end of those shows and ask if there is any way to get hold of recordings of the songs as they've just heard them - just me, my guitar and my harmonica.
Up until now, that hasn't been possible, but with The Red Clay Halo currently on hiatus after their final tour last year, Emily took the opportunity to go in to the studio to record her own selection of songs from her back catalogue. Many of these songs are the ones she usually chooses to play at solo shows, with a few additions. The songs go right back to her first UK band the-low-country, through all her albums with The Red Clay Halo, and including a brand new song, 'Anywhere Away', written last year as the theme to the forthcoming British movie Hec McAdam (starring Peter Mullan and Keith Allen).

Pumajaw - Billy Rose
Official video for the Billy Rose single by Pumajaw
pumajaw.co.uk
Billy rose from his street bed
Picked his way through the mean light of morning
Billy rose, his eyes on hell or heaven
And revenge stole through his bones
Billy rose, slowly, like a ghost
'Cause the road looked long and lonely
And it's edged with swimming eels.
Billy rose, looked out and around
And he saw, through his own haze
He was no longer alone
One by one, one by one,
The faces surrounded him
The crowd surged forward
And they laid their arms around him
They said'enough is enough'
'Cause the brown coins are all gone.
