Riding up to the village La Garde Freignet on the mountain twisty, this time riding with some friends, It was the end of a super balade en provence of 250km, check the temp; snow was abondant two days ago, up to 30cm deep with all these roads impassable, but for sure once the sun comes out to play here the white fluffy stuff does not hang around for long..................

Sunday Ride With My Son
What better pleasure is there than to ride your moto, with your son on his. This video shows Alex and myself just having a blast on a wet Sunday afternoon. Riding from St Tropez to La Garde Freignet, Vidaubon, Plan de la Tour and heading back to La Garde Freignet to get some roasted chestnuts. It was a wet day with rain later in the final parts. Dangers on the trip abound after the storms before. Sand rocks and dead leaves were encounterd on this trip. Take care when you ride, allways ride within your visibility to stop if somthing is blocking the road.

Jannik and I recently went on a road trip in France for about 2 weeks. I took some videos of it and decided to make it a short series. There will be a new episode every week!

00:42 On the road from Toulouse to Montpellier (this plane trees landscape is typical of that area)
01:55 Le Petit Travers beach, Mauguio (there is a parking lot right next to it, but careful, especially if your car is a low, the road is in a very bad shape)
02:15 Camargue rice plantations, National Park of Camargue
02:34 Marseille Harbour (we recommend to park your car in a parking lot, if you look at how cars look like there you know it's a smart choice)
02:41 Soap Museum, Marseille (the savon de Marseille, soap of Marseille is very famous, every French person knows about it)
02:45 Random bistro (I forgot the name, we just walked around and picked a place that looked nice and tried the famous Pastis)
03:34 Train tour of the city (you can type les petits trains de Marseille to find it on Google Maps, it was worth it because Marseille is quite a big city and if you want to go all the way up to the Basilica, it's very convenient. Also we had explanations in 4 languages on board)
04:07 Notre-Dame de la Garde, Marseille
04:24 Near the Harbour (if you look up there is that giant mirror)
05:08 Cassis (lovely town about 40min from Marseille)
05:48 Camping Les Cigales, Cassis
06:33 Calanques (we picked calanque de Sugiton path because it seemed to be a quite easy one where you can still see very nice landscapes, and it was about 2h. You have many many paths, careful some requires you to rappel down etc)
08:33 Flunch (on the road, we stopped there to have a break and work)
08:45 Lake of Sainte-Croix (in the National Verdon Park, we stayed at Camping Les Pins, our last one and the best one)
09:13 Le Mille Pâtes (very nice restaurant, the staff is very welcoming and their tiramisu is simply delicious)

Marseilles Notre Dame de lar Garde Tram Ride back to Old Town GO PRO. The tram ride back to the old port was faster because the tram did not take the scenic route. We went through narrow streets, some roads and then we reached the old town area. Overall, it was fun to ride on this train! We were in Marseilles, France, on a cruise stop. We sailed on the MSC Preziosa, on a 7N cruise out of Genoa.

Stage 17 vlog - Pont du Gard to Gap
Although quite a long stage and not exactly flat, today was a really beautiful ride, with views of Mont Ventoux, lavender fields,olive groves and orchards, beautiful gorges and eventually the foothills of the Alps. Now in Gap, with bellies full of lasagna, and a batch of new arrivals (fresh legs!) here to ride the Alps stages, the general feeling is one of nervous anticipation ahead of the 'Queen' stage tomorrow. It's going to be HUGE and it's going to be beautiful ... as long as we can look up from the tarmac!
