Sunset View, Fahan - A Luxury 6 Bedroom Holiday Home with Breathtaking Views
Sunset View is a luxury modern holiday home with a breathtaking location on a hillside above the coastal road between Fahan and Buncrana on the beautiful Inishowen Peninsula.
From its elevated site the holiday home enjoys sweeping panoramic views over Lough Swilly as it makes it way northwards towards the Atlantic Ocean. There are views across the lough towards Rathmullan, Macamish Fort and the hills of the Fanad Peninsula and also views over the North West Golf Course towards Buncrana, Fort Dunree and the Inishowen Hills. This beautiful coastal vista makes for some truly dramatic sunsets in the evening time
From the front door it is just 500 metres to the shores of Lough Swilly, 1.5km to the clubhouse of the north West Golf Club, 2km to the coastal resort of Fahan , 4km to Buncrana and just 12km to the historic Walled City of Derry. The holiday home also lies along the route of Irelands Wild Atlantic Way driving route which follows the coastline of the ruggedly beautiful Inishowen Peninsula.
A Luxury Modern Holiday Home with Breathtaking Views
The holiday home itself is ultra modern, extremely stylish and comfortable. It invites a wealth of natural light with its large windows to maximise the view and setting. The large open plan designer kitchen with floor to ceiling windows is central to the home and makes entertaining here a dream. It features all modern appliances, white granite surfaces, a large island with 5 bar stools and a dining table for 12, as well as a lounge area looking out to the view.
There is an additional large living room with an open fire, two couches, and floor to ceiling windows. Next to that is a smaller living/playroom stocked with toys and books for the younger visitors. It boasts 6 double bedrooms, 5 of which have king size beds and the other has twins. Three of the bedrooms are ensuite and there are is an additional bathroom on each floor. The design overall is extremely spacious at 3000 sq ft.. The driveway has ample parking for 6 cars and the garden is enclosed and there are beautifully crafted patios to the front to enjoy the scenery even more on a good day.
Ideal Base to Explore the Inishowen Peninsula & Derry City
The local Lisfannon Beach is a Blue Flag beach and is ideal for walking and swimming. There is a fine marina in Fahan and as well as a sailing school. Restaurants worth visitng are The Red Door and The Railway Tavern Firebox Grill both situated near the marina in Fahan. Harrys in Bridgend which is a short drive has also won many awards.
Nearby Buncrana is the largest town in the picturesque Inishowen Peninsula. It has a full range of tourist amenities, as well as fine restaurants and lively bars. The town boasts a leisure centre and swimming pool, golf course, pitch and putt, play park, clean safe sandy beaches, coastal footpaths and many activities for children.
For the keen golfer there are 2 golf courses just a few minutes drive from the holiday home- the Northwest Golf Club at Lisfannon and Buncrana Golf Club. The superb Ballyliffin Golf Club is just 25km away. The landscape of the Inishowen Peninsula is ideal for the rambler and hill walker with a variety of hill and coastal walks. Indeed if you are feeling fit and adventurous you can climb the hill behind the house.
