Ration Shed Sleepout - North Coast Region DET
30 Education Leaders from throughout the Department of Education and Training's North Coast Region, participated in Cherbourg's Ration Shed Museum's Sleepout in June of 2016. This immersive experience was designed as a part of building their knowledge and understanding of what it was like to live 'Under the Act'. Elders shared their experiences of Education and shared their thoughts and hopes for the next generation.

Murgon Rodeo (Part 1)
I got asked to put on some more clips of rodeo's so i thought i would try and get some more put on. This was very slow and boring. Their is 3 parts and that is the lot of it all. It dragged out for so long for the smallest rodeo i have ever seen and i have been to hundreds.

This is a short video featuring Alana Purcell of Cherbourg, Queensland, Australia. Alana talks about her life and how she gives back to the community.
Alana was not always in a wheelchair. She is 58 years old and back in 2007 after an operation called a Laminectomy, she was classified as a T5 Paraplegic, which means she will never be able to walk again and is paralysed from the waist down.
Alana lives by her own moto of Just get up and Go.

The Rationshed - Re-telling Cherbourg History
Indigenous Governance Toolkit Video -- The idea of revitalising Cherbourg Mission's Ration Shed is born from a dream shared by a few members of Cherbourg Aboriginal community who wanted to tell their version of the story of living under the Act. The Ration Shed Museum success attracted numerous visitors and the dream has now grown into a multipurposes cultural and historical precinct.

Sundalah Sunday is an annual Health, Wisdom and Inspiration CommUNITY event held in Townsville in August at the Castle Hill PCYC.
This special day for all ages shares more than 20 classes, talks and workshops led by local teachers to help you discover more ways to live with health and happiness. Also enjoy live lunch time entertainment and many market stalls which support self study, self care and healthy living.
