Clarksdale, Mississippi walking around
This video is of our lead singer Larry From the band the Beat Daddys walking me (his bass player) down the street from where we are playing to show me around. This is a video of the town during the day in clarksdale, Mississippi before it started hopin.' I just wanted to upload this video because of this amazing poor street blues singer on the sidewalk. He sounded great. Just try and listen. He sounds like a full band but that is because he's got a kick drum, harmonica, and blues guitar rigged up.

From the Crossroads to the White House Trailer
“From the Crossroads to the White House” is a delightful and touching look at the work and music of the award-wining Delta Blues Museum Band and follows several members as they journey from Clarksdale to the nation’s capital to capture a top award. The film is one in a series of documentaries about the legacy of the Delta blues from Lee Quinby and Erickson Blakney of the True Delta Project, truedeltaproject.org. The DBM’s Arts and Education program, which grew out of another started by the late Johnnie “Mister Johnnie” Billington, continues to provide blues musicians for Clarksdale’s dynamic live music scene and the world.
The documentary premieres July 14th, 2015 on Mississippi PBS and will be available on their website. DVDs may be purchased on:
Riding The Delta Blues - Part Two - Natchez north to Clarksdale, Ms
Photographs taken on an 11 Day, 3000 Mile, 10 State Motorcycle Tour of the Delta Blues Trail and Mississippi River from Natchez to Cairo, Il. at the confluence of the Miss. and Ohio rivers. The trip started and end just south of Washington DC and included parts of the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains. This part is from Natchez north along the river and into Clarksdale Ms. which I discovered after finding it that it is known as the Crossroads of the Delta Blues and birth place of such greats as Ike Turner and where Robert Johnson sold his soul to the Devil to play the Blues.

WROX Radio Exclusive - Clarksdale, MS. - The 4th Street Blues Band 10/03/13
Members of The 4th Street Blues Band had a once in a lifetime chance to perform in the historical WROX Radio Station in Clarksdale Mississippi. The station was close and locked from the general public eye in 1954, B.B. King hosted a radio show and Ike Turner pushed a mop here before they launched their musical careers. Legends like Charley Pride, Muddy Waters, Bobby Rush, Sam Cooke, Rufus Thomas, Elvis Presley, Little Milton and Pinetop Perkins are some of the few that appeared here.
