Shephall Green Village, Stevenage UK, Views from above. Shephall really was a village by it's self until Stevenage New town was built around it. Also includes St Mary's Church and The Old Red Lion Hungry Horse Pub. (filthy roof by the way). However, food and drink are still superb value for money. A very popular place.

4U ~ OLD KENILWORTH HIGH STREET
a short drive along the old original High Street in Kenilworth, driving from the Castle Ruins and up past the little small hamlet of little cottages called Little Virginia on the right hand side and then the road climbs up to the top where (in another video soon) we can see the Abbey Fields and natural lake down on the right hand side, we continue and the road is relatively narrow driving passed old cottages, until we start to drive slightly down the hill and come to the traffic light crossroads, on the left hand side there is the Chinese Take away and Fish Restaurant/pub and also the Old Bakery but cars obscure the view unfortunately and on the right hand side is the Virgins and Castle pub the oldest pub in Kenilworth. Once the lights change two very large houses on the right and the left, the righthand side is undergoing renovation work which is very extensive, and if we had turned right, this takes us up Rosemary Hill and on the right yet again the entrance to Abbey Fields and the walk to the natural lake . . . but we continue straight ahead and drive past many old cottages and pubs and then slowly driving up and away home . . .

Southport Street Pastors
SOUTHPORT STREET PASTORS
Promotional Film 2011
As the Street Pastor gets to know people in the community he/she will find out their needs are and what can be done to help. A presence of Street Pastors will earn credibility in the community, so that people know that the Church is there for them in a practical way. The role is not about preaching heaven and hell, but one of listening, caring and helping - working in an unconditional way
Street Pastors is an inter-denominational Church response to urban problems, engaging with people on the streets to care, listen and dialogue.
It was pioneered in London in January 2003 by Rev Les Isaac, Director of the Ascension Trust, and has seen some remarkable results, including drops in crime in areas where teams have been working. There are now over 100 teams around the United Kingdom.
Each city project is set up by Ascension Trust and run by a local coordinator with support from Ascension Trust and local churches and community groups, in partnership with Police, Council and other statutory agencies.
To be a Street Pastor you need to be over 18 (no upper age limit), a church member and able to commit to our training programme.
