The Jacaranda Shipwreck, South African Wild Coast
The Jacaranda was a 2000-ton Greek-owned coaster, which ran aground on the night of September the 18th, 1971. She was not laden with any cargo and her engines failed as she negotiated the windy seas. She ran aground on the beach, North of Qolora Mouth and the captain, his wife and 14 crew members abandoned ship using a rope ladder which they strung from the ships prow to the nearby rocks. Successive storms have taken their toll on the stranded ship and today only the bow remains.
Mkulu Kei Horse Trails and Wild Coast Horseback Adventures both offer rides to the wreck from Kei Mouth. For more info on that, please visit

Searching for waterfalls and shipwrecks at Mtentu Lodge, Transkei, South Africa

Cape Point Shipwrecks, South Africa
If you've been to Cape Town, or at least looked up things to do, you'll know Cape Point is something not to miss. One of the things to do at Cape Point is finding the shipwrecks. Don't let the length of this video fool you into thinking this walk was short. It wasn't! It was long, the wind was strong and sandy! I was so excited to go and see shipwrecks, because I imagined they'd be as grand and as spooky as in the movies. Welp! Not quite hahahaha. I was so disappointed to find that the wrecks are wrecked lol! To be fair they've been there for years, and with all the wind and water, they've weathered fast. If you've been to Cape Point in South Africa, have you checked out the shipwrecks? If not, are you taking the long walk to the shipwrecks?

Trennerys Hotel on the Wild Coast of South Africa
We fell in love with Trennerys – with the pitch black Wild Coast sea sand dotted with paintbox cows, the rolling green Transkei hills, the mirror glass water of the Qolora lagoon, the ruggedly spectacular beach, the enchanting wooden deck winding between the dune forest and our charming little luxury thatched rondawel.
We had such fun on the beach and lagoon and adored our day trip with Trevor's Trails up The Gates.

Cape Recife wreck freedive and spearo outing at Cape St. Francis Lighthouse South Africa
A long but interesting video if you don't normally dive wrecks or get under water generally. Matt Williams came up with the idea to go and dive a spot and braai some fish together. Soon we were a whole crew out in the water. I took my gopro on a pole along. I knew there was a wreck but had no idea what it would look like or what would be left of it. The viz was very good, I would say 20m top to bottom. Since we were quite close to shore, there were a bit of debris and sand in the wash, but this is great viz for the Eastern Cape. Sorry for the unstable footage, I had the spear gun in my one hand and the camera in the other. There were no large fish around, but I did manage to shoot a spotted grunter that was over size after I stopped taking footage. The wreck that you will see is the Cape Recife. I can make out a boiler as well as a crank and shaft and various other debris.
Magical Mkambati | Wild Coast, South Africa | HD
This is a video I made of our family hike from Mtentu Campsite to Mkambati Falls and back on 29 September 2018. About an 9 km (5.5 miles) round trip.
It was extremely windy that day, couldn't get the drone footage I wanted, even my Osmo battled to stay stable. Guess I''l have to go back someday and hope for better weather.
Kids enjoyed the shipwreck on the way.
Shot with my GoPro Hero 3, Galaxy S7 Edge with my DJI Osmo Mobile 2 gimbal and my DJI Mavic Pro drone.

South Africa,The wild coast experience.
A compilation of the footage I filmed in South Africa's east coast during 2012-2014.It can show the best experience we had in one of the most amazing place in the world to dive, one of the sharkiest water in the world. The footage filming during Sardine run in Port St.Johns and Aliwal shoal. The end of the video showed the lost baby humpback whale that we found on the last day of Sardine run 2014.Another mind blowing experience I ever had in my entire diving career.
