The Source Youth Arts Summer Programme 2014
Drawing loosely on an alternative version of the biblical epic of Noah’s Ark, young participants from Ireland and Spain explored drama, text, design and physical theatre during the week long summer programme in 2014 which culminated in a fantastical performance for family and friends.
Now in its 10th year, The Source Youth Arts Summer Programme 2015 in association with Tipperary Regional Youth Services brings you another spectacular six day project where participants will be creating and working with masks, giant puppets and shadow theatre. Explore connections between traditional Irish storytelling and Spanish poet & playwright Federico Lorca’s surrealist poetry and folk inspired plays.
Led by theatre director Tony Fegan, designer Tadashi Kato and performance artist Terence Erraught, the artistic team will work with Irish and Spanish participants to create a large scale portable shadow/ digital projection theatre and puppet booth.
Open to all young people aged between 11 to 17 years who are interested in performance, design, music and digital projection.
A lively creative mind is all that is necessary, performance, musical and visual arts skills are a bonus!
