Singapore’s Southern Ridges Trail is a fantastic example of nature and city coming together. Before we headed off to walk it, we got on a boat tour of Singapore’s bay. Then we jumped on the MRT and walked from Kent Ridge Park, through Hort Park and multiple others until we reached Faber Point in Faber Park, a little after sunset. We finished our day off watching the Supertree lightshow at Gardens by the Bay.

I ENCOUNTERED a PYTHON SNAKE! HIKING for 6 HOURS - SOUTHERN RIDGES, SINGAPORE | 2019 |
This week I went to hike the Southern Ridges in Singapore.
It is a walk that you can do from Mount Faber (Harbourfront MRT) up to Kent Ridge Park. It is about a 10km walk and it is said that it takes about 3-5 hours to complete it depending on your pace.
You will see:
Henderson Waves
Forest Walk
Hort Park
Canopy Walk
I started my walk at 7am in the morning at the cable car office in Mount Faber and walked up to the Canopy Walk at Kent Ridge. You can go even further than I did up to the pond in Kent Ridge Park but I got hungry and it was midday and VERY hot by that time for me.
I definitely recommend this to you when you’re in Singapore :)
Be good, do good and keep on smiling! ENJOY!

Southern Ridges Trail | Singapore 2019
My girlfriend and I hiked the Southern Ridges 10km trail, passing Henderson Bridge, up Mount Faber and ended our trail near VivoCity. I've never realized how serene the parks in the city can actually feel, and the film is a reflection of that.

The Southern Ridges Trail [HD]
The Southern Ridges comprises 10 km of green, open spaces that connect Mount Faber Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park, HortPark, Kent Ridge Park and Labrador Nature Reserve. It is probably the best spots in Singapore to catch panoramic views of the city, harbour and the Southern Islands.
Henderson Waves connects Mount Faber Park to Telok Blangah Hill Park. It is the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore standing 36m above Henderson Road and frequently visited for its artistic, distinctive wave-like structure consisting of a series of undulating curved 'ribs'. The other highlights of the Southern Ridges are the Forest Walk and Canopy Walk - bridges cutting through the Adinandra Belukar, a distinct type of secondary forest. Here, you can see a rich variety of flora and fauna and observe birds in their natural habitats. Walk on the Ridges and take beautiful photos of wild flowers and birds.

Henderson Waves Singapore A walk to discover
The Henderson Waves Singapore A walk to discover
Tallest food bridge in Singapore
The best way to explore the bridge is as part of the Southern Ridges Walk, a five-kilometre hiking trail that takes you through three major parks: Kent Ridge Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park and Mount Faber Park. It is the latter two that Henderson Waves connects.
Aside from being able to observe a rich variety of tropical flora and fauna, a walk on the Ridges also affords you some stunning views of the island
True to its name, the bridge mimics the undulating shape of a wave, curving and twisting along its entire 274-metre length. Its form is anchored by steel arches and filled in with curved ‘ribs’—slats of Balau wood, a dense hardwood used in heavy construction and which is found only in Southeast Asia.
Its shape allows it to have hidden recesses and shell-like niches, where pedestrians can sit and observe their surroundings. Because there’s privacy and room to rest, the bridge is a popular spot on weekends with couples, families with children and joggers.
As dusk falls, visitors still linger to admire the bridge, which is illuminated to stunning effect by light-emitting diode (LED) lighting from 7pm to 2am every night.

Southern Ridges - Henderson Waves Bridge - Forest Walk | Singapore Vlog #2
- Ya Kun Kaya Toast - Bugis Junction 200 Victoria Street (b1-11)
- Bugis MRT Station (mua thẻ Tourist Pass và đi MRT)
- Southern Ridges:
+ Marang Trail
+ Mount Faber Park
+ Henderson Waves Bridge
+ Forest Walk
