Congratulation winks to 30th Midnight Sun Filmfestival
Silmäniskuja 30 vuotiaalle Sodankylän filmijuhlalle ;)
Filmijuhla eli 30th Midight Sun Filmfestival kunnioitti sekä ikääntymistä että alusta asti festivaalia johtaneen Peter von Baghin poismenoa syksyllä 2014.
Ja jo neljättä vuotta peräkkäin filmijuhla kasvatti yleisöennätystään. Leffoissa kävi yhteensä 30.000 katsojaa. Vuosi sitten yllettiin 25.000 katsojaan.
30-vuotisjuhlan kunniaksi kuvasin kohdalle osuneilta festivaalivierailta silmäniksuja onnitteluksi tapahtumalle. Niitä kertyi liki 60.
Let's wink wink! :)

Road Trip through Finland I Living in Finland I Vlog 11
I've been living in Finland for half a year now and I wanted to discovered more places here so I decided to do a road trip with one of my friend.
We left from Turku and went to Rauma, Pori, Vaasa, Oulu, Kuopio and Savonlinna.
We took the bus to travel, there are a lot of them to go everywhere and it's really conveniente !
It was nice to see that cities even when we had not that great weather !
I filmed like always with my phone Samsung Galaxy A5 and I used for the first time my steadi cam DJI Osmo mobile 2. I did the editing with Adobe Premiere Pro, first try, don't know all the functions already.
I hope you enjoyed it !

Addiktio - All loud 'n' clear demo '08
The Savonlinna-based punk supergroup of the late nineties, Addiktio, strikes back with a demo from the Bunkkeri sessions '08. This demo is a B-side to the bourgeoisie destroying single The Master Race from Vennamo Records. The single will be out on 10/11.
This song is dedicated to the one and only, Perry Groves Arsenal!
All loud 'n' clear
He's a barroom hero of these modern times,
cheerful and outspoken, really one of a kind.
He raises argy bargy everywhere he goes,
go down to the pub to catch one of his shows.
This hero's made of spirits, this hero's made of spirits,
that's why you can't push him down.
So liquor up your party now, liquor up your party
and he might just come to your town.
(Oi Oi)
He's just like Perry Groves, he tackles all on sight.
Not at all like good ol' Dennis, never showing his all might.
(And some say)
his glory days are over, all succesful poker nights,
but he raises from the pit never giving up the fight.
This hero's made of spirits, this hero's made of spirits,
that's why you can't push him down.
So liquor up your party, now liquor up your party
and he might just come to your town.
This hero's made of spirits, this hero's made of spirits,
that's why you can't push him down.
So liquor up your party, now liquor up your party
and you might just find him in you.

Turun Linna Turku Castle
Turun linna on 1200-luvun lopussa Aurajoen suulle perustettu linna Turussa. Se perustettiin alun perin Ruotsin kruunun hallintolinnaksi, mutta myöhemmin siitä tuli muun muassa Juhana III:n herttua-ajan renessanssilinna.
Turku Castle founded in the 13th Century, located at the end of the mouth of the Aura river. It was originally founded to be the Swedish Crowns administration castle , but later it became, among other things, Duke John III Renaissance Castle.

Finland Travel Video
Finland Travel Video - Finland is the deep north, with forests and lakes as far as the eye can see, and revitalising crisp air. Choose between summers endless light or winters eerie frozen magic.
The Finland you encounter will depend on the season of your visit, but whatever the month, the call of the wilderness is a siren song not to be resisted. Theres something pure in the Finnish air and spirit thats really vital and exciting; its an invitation to get out and active year-round. With vast tracts of forest, speckled by picture-perfect lakes as if an artist had flicked a blue paintbrush at the map, Suomi offers some of Europes best hiking, kayaking and canoeing. A fabulous network of national parks has well-marked routes and regularly spaced huts for overnighting. There are bears deep in the eastern forests, where you can watch them on nature-watching trips.

Turku castle, flyover.
The first parts of Turku castle in Finland were constructed already in the 1280s. At that time Finland was a part of Sweden and the castle was built for defense purposes. The flyover was done by a Bebop 2 drone in August 2016.

SUMMARY
=======
Finland (Finnish: Suomi [suo̯mi] ( listen); Swedish: Finland Swedish pronunciation: [ˈfɪnland]), officially the Republic of Finland (Finnish: Suomen tasavalta, Swedish: Republiken Finland) is a country in Northern Europe bordering the Baltic Sea, Gulf of Bothnia, and Gulf of Finland, between Norway to the north, Sweden to the northwest, and Russia to the east. Finland is a Nordic country and is situated in the geographical region of Fennoscandia. The capital and largest city is Helsinki. Other major cities are Espoo and Tampere.
Finland's population is 5.52 million (2018), and the majority of the population is concentrated in the southern region. 88.7% of the population is Finnish and speaks Finnish, a Uralic language unrelated to the Scandinavian languages; next come the Finland-Swedes (5.3%). Finland is the eighth-largest country in Europe and the most sparsely populated country in the European Union. The sovereign state is a parliamentary republic with a central government based in the capital city of Helsinki, local governments in 311 municipalities, and one autonomous region, the Åland Islands. Over 1.4 million people live in the Greater Helsinki metropolitan area, which produces one third of the country's GDP.
Finland was inhabited when the last ice age ended, approximately 9000 BCE. The first settlers left behind artefacts that present characteristics shared with those found in Estonia, Russia, and Norway. The earliest people were hunter-gatherers, using stone tools. The first pottery appeared in 5200 BCE, when the Comb Ceramic culture was introduced. The arrival of the Corded Ware culture in southern coastal Finland between 3000 and 2500 BCE may have coincided with the start of agriculture. The Bronze Age and Iron Age were characterised by extensive contacts with other cultures in the Fennoscandian and Baltic regions and the sedentary farming inhabitation increased towards the end of Iron Age. At the time Finland had three main cultural areas – Southwest Finland, Tavastia and Karelia – as reflected in contemporary jewellery. From the late 13th century, Finland gradually became an integral part of Sweden through the Northern Crusades and the Swedish part-colonisation of coastal Finland, a legacy reflected in the prevalence of the Swedish language and its official status. In 1809, Finland was incorporated into the Russian Empire as the autonomous Grand Duchy of Finland. In 1906, Finland became the first European state to grant all adult citizens the right to vote, and the first in the world to give all adult citizens the right to run for public office.Following the 1917 Russian Revolution, Finland declared itself independent. In 1918, the fledgling state was divided by civil war, with the Bolshevik-leaning Red Guard supported by the equally new Soviet Russia, fighting the White Guard, supported by the German Empire. After a brief attempt to establish a kingdom, the country became a republic. During World War II, the Soviet Union sought repeatedly to occupy Finland, with Finland losing parts of Karelia, Salla, Kuusamo, Petsamo and some islands, but retaining independence.
Finland joined the United Nations in 1955 and established an official policy of neutrality. The Finno-Soviet Treaty of 1948 gave the Soviet Union some leverage in Finnish domestic politics during the Cold War era. Finland joined the OECD in 1969, the NATO Partnership for Peace in 1994, the European Union in 1995, the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council in 1997, and finally the Eurozone at its inception, in 1999.
Finland was a relative latecomer to industrialisation, remaining a largely agrarian country until the 1950s. After World War II, the Soviet Union demanded war reparations from Finland not only in money but also in material, such as ships and machinery. This forced Finland to industrialise. It rapidly developed an advanced economy while building an extensive welfare state based on the Nordic model, resulting in widespread prosperity ...
