The suite was huge and had 2 big rooms, 3 toilet & baths, a huge living room and an enormous top floor balcony with Darling Harbour views! Definitely one of the most memorable and impressive hotel stays we ever had in Australia!

Family Staycation at The Star Sydney Hotel | The Star Sydney Hotel in Darling Harbour Sydney
Family staycation time once again at our favourite Sydney 5 star hotel - The Star Sydney.
We haven’t gone out as a family to stay outside of the house since we moved in a few months ago so having this short staycation was great.
We had 2 rooms for this staycation: 1 for Ninong Alzen & Ninong Vince (Blaire’s uncles) and 1 room for the three of us (Daddy, Mommy & Blaire).
As usual, we loved our rooms as well as the service.

In this episode I head to The Star Casino Sydney, for a quick deep stack, live $2/$3 No Limit Texas Holdem cash game.
I made plenty of mistakes in this short session, and cover off on these poker hands with some hand reviews and analysis... I don't think I've ever played a more passive session of poker than this.
During the session I got pulled aside and away from the table. Not from Casino security, but by the big guy himself... The manager. (Nice guy by the way)
I was BUSTED!!! I was shut down, with nowhere to run, nowhere to hide! They got me!

Watch me surprise my wife Belle on her birthday!
Belle’s Birthday was on the 23rd of January. I had to go to work that day but I arranged for a staycation for our family at The Astral Towers in Sydney’s The Star.
The birthday surprise starts when Belle got off the tram (Sydney lightrail) and was quite surprised to see me waiting to greet her a happy birthday in the city.
There was still about 3 hours left on my work so Belle, Baby Blaire and her cousin Alzen who lives with us here in Sydney went around to do some window shopping and quick lunch, waiting to meet me after I clock out from work.
After I left work, I had to quickly go collect the birthday cake that I’ve ordered for Belle and went to the hotel to check in and leave the cake there.
I told Belle we were staying in the city overnight but she didn’t know at which hotel, so it was another surprise.
So we checked in at the Astral Towers which is a 5-star hotel here in Sydney and I surprised Belle (again!) that since it’s her birthday, we jave unlimited access to the hotel’s executive lounge where we had some afternoon snack and breakfast the following day.
Then we went swimming and prepared for her birthday dinner at Pancakes on the Rocks which was a memorable place for us as it’s the very 1st restaurant we went to during our first days in Sydney.
I’ve invited 3 of our closes friends for dinner, also a surprise for Belle as she thought it was only us. These 3 are our very first friends here in Sydney and are now all godparents to our Baby Blaire.
Then we walked back to the hotel and had her surprise birthday cake waiting for her in the room. Belle made a wish, blew her birthday candles as we sang her a happy birthday song.

Crown Sydney is a casino and hotel that is currently under construction in Barangaroo, Sydney, Australia. When it opens in 2021, it will be the second legal casino in Sydney.
However, unlike The Star, Crown Sydney's casino will only operate with VIP membership restrictions. With 75 floors (including mezzanines) and a height of 271.3 m , it will become the city's tallest building, surpassing Chifley Tower.
Barangaroo South
Barangaroo South is the southern third of the site and acts as an extension of Sydney's CBD, with office buildings, apartments, retail outlets, public spaces and a hotel. Three commercial skyscrapers designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners form the core of this stage; known as International Towers Sydney. The tallest is IT1 at 217 metres . In addition to office space, it will also include a community or childcare centre. All three towers will feature retail on the podium levels. IT2 is due for completion in 2015, while IT1 & IT3 are expected to be complete the following year.
