Travel from Chicago - Hanoi, Vietnam
After a long flight from Chicago to Korea, then to Vietnam, upon arrival at Hanoi Airport, meet and greet our local tour guide, Hue. Then transfer to hotel for check in. Later in the afternoon pick up and proceed to tour. Enjoyed the water puppet performance, a unique and famous traditional performance. Dinner with Vietnamese noodle (Pho -chicken noodles and beef noodles). After that, enjoy sweet soup (chè) along the street side. Special flavor of hot or ice sweet soup with the flavors of sugar mixed in beans, cassava or sweet potato must be an unforgettable experience of your whole tour in Vietnam. Finally ending our day walking the streets of the old French Quarter.

HORRIBLE SLEEPER BUS VIETNAM - Hanoi
After spending a week in Hanoi it was time to head north. We booked some cheap tickets on a sleeper bus and we had one hell of an experience! Yes, overall, it was a horrible experience. After this we tried hard to avoid any other sleeper buses. It could have been much worse, so we're grateful it wasn't. Have you had any crappy travel experiences??

What to Do in Vietnam: From South to North
What a dynamic country Vietnam is!
A week in Ho Chi Minh, Nha Trang, Da Nang and Hanoi was defs not long enough to appreciate everything. But we managed to devour some great, cheap Vietnamese food, mingle with locals at markets, immerse in hot mud baths and refreshing waterfalls, and I managed to lose my wallet but have it found the next day.
Such an adventure. But defs need to revisit for more in-depth stop points like Sapa and Ban Gioc. Until next time!

WORST TOUR EVER //HALONG BAY, VIETNAM
VIETNAM// VLOG 24
HALONG BAY, VIETNAM
NOVEMBER 2017
Today we went on one of the worst tours I have ever been on. It was advertised to us as a 4 hour long cruise around the bay. However, we were only on the water for two hours. We had to pay for everything on the tour, including drinks and a boat ride. Everyone on the boat got to eat and we had to wait for them to finish before we could set sail. It was just a really terrible set up; with tour guides yelling through a loud speaker.

Join me Monday to Friday on this amazing road trip through Vietnam. I aim to create an entertaining piece of content about my travels 5 times per week. Unless literally everything goes wrong, but than still, I'll try to make a video about that! I can be super excited about the simple things in life and I think that life is amazing! By creating these VLOGS I hope to put a smile on your face too every day of the week!
Before motorbiking through Vietnam, I crossed the Pacific Ocean on sailing boats and visited The Unites States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, The Marquesas Islands, Tahiti, The Kingdom Of Niue, Rarotonga, Tonga, Fiji, some other small islands and ended up in New Zealand. In New Zealand I cycled 3.000km from top to bottom. After that I flew to Vietnam to start this motorbike tour. Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi by Motorbike.
See here my planned route:

Hue floods November 2017 - a travel guide
Hue and many other parts of Vietnam have been experiencing terrible flooding in the wake of Typhoon Damrey. This video was shot on Tuesday morning 7 November as further flooding was predicted. It was shot around some of Hue's most elevated areas - the flooding in other parts of the city and in surrounding villages is far worse.
23 Things To Do In Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) Vietnam
►Read 23 Things to do in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam:
►FREE eBook:
When I was in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), along with eating as much Vietnamese food as I could, one of my goals was to film a travel video about some of the best things to do in Saigon. After putting together a complete list, it turned out to be 23, and I hope this list of attractions will help and inspire you to visit Vietnam’s largest and most exciting city.
1. Binh Tay Market - Binh Tay Market is one of the largest wholesale distribution markets, and a perfect place to go if you’re looking to go shopping in Ho Chi Minh City.
2. Thien Hau Temple (Pagoda) - Located in Chinatown, in District 5, the temple is dedicated to Thien Hau and I really loved the sculptures and the elaborate design of the temple.
3. Museum of Ho Chi Minh City - This museum offers a glimpse into the history and development of the city and Vietnam.
4. Bitexco Financial Tower - This is the tallest building in Saigon, and you can either go to the Skydeck or a cafe at the top for a view of the city.
5. Independence Palace (Reunification Palace) - Probably one of the most well known tourism things to do in Saigon is to visit the Independence Palace, the the former home of the president of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
6. Saigon Cathedral of Notre Dame - With the French influence in Vietnam, the Notre Dame cathedral is a beautiful Catholic church. Attend a service or just visit.
7. Central Post Office - Designed by Gustave Eiffel, the Central Post Office in Ho Chi Minh City is an attraction mainly for its design and architecture. It’s a beautiful building.
8. War Remnants Museum - Although this is not one of the happiest attractions in Saigon, it’s a place to remember and honor the horrible events that are a result of a war.
9. Opera House - Right in Dong Khoi area, and there are still opera shows available.
10. Dong Khoi Street - This is the height of high end shopping in Saigon.
11. Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens - The zoo itself is not too great, but the beauty of the Saigon zoo is the botanical gardens, and the lush gardens, and taking a break from the city.
12. FITO Museum (Museum of Traditional Vietnamese Medicine) - I was quite impressed by the Vietnamese medicine private museum - very interactive and educational.
13. San Art Laboratory – If you love modern art, the San Art Laboratory is a great place to see and visit in Saigon.
14. Turtle Lake at Night - If you’re looking for some things to do at night in Saigon, head to Turtle Lake to chill out, relax, hang out with friends, and eat snacks.
15. Ben Thanh Market - One of the most famous things to do in Saigon District 1 is visit the Ben Thanh Market, one of the major central landmarks of the city.
16. Phu My Hung and Starlight Bridge - Located outside of central Ho Chi Minh City, Phu My Hung is a modern development, and a great place to walk around.
17. Water Puppet Show - Though originally from the north of Vietnam, water puppet shows are popular also in Saigon. I went to the Golden Dragon Water Puppet theater.
18. Museum of Vietnamese History - Probably one of the most extensive and important museum showing the history of Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City.
19. Rooftop Bar - Seeing Saigon from above offers a great perspective.
20. Fine Arts Museum - This was my favorite of all the museums in Saigon. The museum is housed in a well preserved building, and the art is amazing - located right in District 1 across the roundabout from Ben Thanh Market.
21. Jade Emperor Pagoda - Dedicated to the Jade Emperor, the pagoda has a real ancient feel to it, and it’s worth seeing when you visit.
22. Local Wet Market - One of my favorite things to do is visit a local fresh wet market, which you’ll find all over the city. The ingredients, food, and culture, all stand out at fresh markets.
23. Vietnamese Street Food - By my ultimate favorite activity in Saigon is eating street food, and there are an abundance of delicious Vietnamese street foods to sample.
Thank you for watching this video about the top 23 things to do in Saigon, Vietnam. I hope it has given you some great ideas to help you plan your visit.

Exploring Saigon - Food, War Remnants Museum, & Ben Thanh Market
In this Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) travel and food vlog, get ready for lots of delicious food, and some of attractions in the city. More coming here:
I was attempting to go to the extremely famous Bánh Mì Huỳnh Hoa (Banh Mi Huynh Hoa), but somehow I missed that they were only open beginning in the afternoon, so instead I found another banh mi restaurant called Bánh Mì Hồng Hoa, which actually proved to be one of my favorite versions of the trip (I did end up going to Bánh Mì Huỳnh Hoa (Banh Mi Huynh Hoa) another time, so another video about that coming soon). But anyway, I ordered the normal special banh mi, a Vietnamese sandwich stuffed into a crusty baguette, and it was incredibly good. The bread was crusty and fresh, and they included just the right amount of toppings and ratio of ingredients. Happy full of the banh mi for breakfast, we then continued walking, and next stopped for a cup of Vietnamese coffee, which always hits the spot.
One of my goals for visiting Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), was to film a video about the top things to do, the attractions of the city. So after we ate breakfast, we then took a walk over to the Cathedral of Notre Dame, sort of in the main center of Saigon. The cathedral is a beautiful structure, and I did some filming and videos of both inside and outside the church. Right across the road from Notre Dame in Saigon is the Saigon Post Office, which I had actually visited the day before.
Next stop, we headed to the War Remnants Museum of Saigon, a museum in the central area of the city that showcases displays of mostly photography depicting the horrible acts and results of the Vietnam War. It definitely wasn’t a light museum, and nor was it much fun to visit, but it did offer a glimpse into the terrible events. After the museum, we then went to Tao Dan Park, which is located just across the street, where we just walked around.
After doing some sightseeing in Saigon, we were pretty hot and hungry, so walking around, we found a small restaurant, called Com Tam 77 to stop for lunch. The restaurant was located just on the outside of Tao Dan Park, not far from the Reunification Palace. I ordered one of the most popular Saigon Vietnamese dishes, a dish known as com tam suon, broken rice topped with a grilled pork chop, and an optional, but highly delicious fried egg on the top. The meal was very tasty, and it truly hit the spot.
After lunch, we headed back to the hotel, as the sun was beating down, and it looked like it would rain. I had a chance to do some work, and write some articles and edit some videos, and then we came out again to explore at around 4 pm when it was much cooler. We headed back to Ben Thanh Market, the central main market of the city, before moving outside, walking around for a bit more, and then finally finishing the great day off with a meal at a kind of chain restaurant in Saigon known as Pho Hung. It was nice to get some AC and cool off, and I have to admit that my bowl of pho bo, or Vietnamese beef pho was actually quite good.
I hope you enjoyed this video blog about traveling, eating, and visiting some attractions in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam. Please give it a thumbs up, and I would really be grateful if you would share this video with a friend!

First Time in VIETNAM - Exploring Ho Chi Minh City
We landed in bustling Ho Chi Minh City for our first time in Vietnam! We had a great time exploring Ho Chi Minh City and will be traveling Vietnam for the next 28 days. Without a real plan, we visited Ho Chi Minh Square to learn some history of Ho Chi Minh City. We also played frogger with the thousands of motorbikes trying to cross the streets, haha.
Our first stop after the 2 hour travel to Vietnam from Malaysia was Ho Chi Minh Square. We got stopped by some local Vietnamese scouts who tried to help teach us a Vietnamese language phrase. We sucked really badly but they were nice and persistent. Finally, Ryan spoke Vietnamese! Ho Chi Minh Square is located in District 1 Saigon which is right in the middle of the city. District 1 Ho Chi Minh City is also the main tourist hub in HCM, Vietnam.
We aren’t sure if it’s better to call the city Saigon Vietnam or Ho Chi Minh Vietnam, so please leave us a comment down below and let us know which one is correct! While walking the streets and exploring Ho Chi Minh City, we got thirsty and decided to try Vietnamese coffee for the first time. Stacia loved the Vietnamese coffee but since it’s 2x stronger than regular coffee she couldn’t finish the whole thing.
Before finding the best things to do in Ho Chi Minh, we decided we wanted to get a feel for local life in Saigon. We quickly saw that the traffic in Ho Chi Minh City is a BIG part of daily life so we decided to test our luck crossing the busy streets. I can’t put into words how busy the streets of Saigon are, so you’ll just have to watch the video to see for yourself. It was a true frogger moment!
Being Americans in Vietnam, we are very interested in the war history of the Vietnam War. We were told there is an American War museum we need to check out which we will do off camera to spare sharing some deep emotional stuff with you guys. There are so many things to do in Saigon we can’t wait to explore the city for the month! If you have any suggestions for things to do in Vietnam, please leave a comment down below.
We have uploaded Vietnamese subtitles for any of you who would like to read in Vietnamese. We hope to hear from you guys in the comments and thanks for watching our first Vietnam travel vlog!
* We’re Ryan & Stacia from DeathbyVlog. Unlike other travel vloggers, we live and work in a different country each month with a moderate housing budget. Sorry, but no backpacker lifestyle here! Our channel will show you what it’s like to live abroad while exploring top tourist destinations and hidden gems. We will show you mouthwatering local food tours, provide history on each destination, and cinematic broll for all of you film lovers. Each month we rent an apartment or airbnb in a different city or country, so follow along on this journey and learn about countries around the world. We hope you enjoy our travel vlog, don’t forget to subscribe!

Vietnam trip in 4 Weeks | Best Places to Visit in Vietnam | Life on Wheel
This trip was not a vacation for us. This was the most special one in our lives. We actually started vlogging from here. My G7X made it's debut here. We did an extensive travel which many would find tough. We started packing light for travel. This trip was a dream come true.
Vietnam was Awesome. I am not at all exaggerating. We are coming up with all the location wise videos. So stay tuned.

Bike Problems in Mui Ne - Vietnam Travel Vlog
So after failing to bust the Mui Ne police trap, I headed back to the hotel, but on the way I noticed my speedometer had suddenly stopped working?!
It had been fine when I left, I know it was working both times I went past the police trap because I was checking my speed...so why wasn't it working now?...Was it Karma?...
Whatever the reason, I need a speedo so I made a b-line straight for the nearest Honda service department in the hope they would have a fix and at a reasonable price.
We'd love it if you liked and shared this video, so others who haven't yet heard of us, also get a chance to share in the experience. Thanks :)

We are Leon and Tash, a New Zealand vlogging couple who set off on an amazing Vietnam adventure as fulltime travellers, backpacking Vietnam. But we weren't going to travel to Vietnam for one of those ordinary backpacking Vietnam trips you hear about everybody doing, where they go for a couple off weeks and check out the beaches or maybe riding through Vietnam at such a crazy pace that they never get off the beaten track. No we want more than that.
Our Vietnam adventures start with learning the way of the locals, taking just enough time to figure out how things work, discover what the Must see places in Vietnam are and more importantly where Vietnam's hidden gems are...
To do this, we moved to Danang Vietnam. The plan was to spend 3 months living in Da Nang, meeting and learning from locals about the culture, the amazing food, their way of living and what places they would recommend to travel in Vietnam.
And because Danang is in the middle of the country, we hoped we might meet other tourists or expats who were having their own Vietnam travel adventure or were at the halfway point of motorcycle riding through Vietnam and hear from them, what places they thought we must visit in Vietnam. Also, as new travel vloggers, having a base there meant we could try things like doing Da Nang Vietnam travel vlog or creating a Danang Vietnam travel guide, before also taking on the stresses of fulltime travel.
Then in month 4, that's when the real Vietnam adventure begins. With our new list of must see places, we will head to Saigon and buy a couple of motorbikes. to start our Vietnam road trip!
Motorcycle riding through Vietnam seems like one of the most hectic, crazy and chaotic things anyone could do, but we can't wait!! And we wont be following a simple South to North / Saigon to Hanoi route, we plan on doing more like a figure 8, so that our travel in Vietnam will cover both the inland and coastal areas of this amazing country.
So can we still say we are backpacking Vietnam? Or should we be telling people our travel in Vietnam is a motorcycle trip through Vietnam? We're not sure, but what we do know is, our Vietnam road trip is going to cover over 6000km's from Saigon right up to the famous waterfalls of Ban Gioc near Cao Bang, round the northern point of the Ha Giang loop and everything else we can access in between.
So we hope you'll join us, the New Zealand vlogging couple, on our Vietnam adventure by clicking subscribe to join the Tribe and experience our travel in Vietnam..
