SOUTH WEST COAST PATH / ZENNOR TO GURNARDS HEAD / CAVAPOO / CHURCH ⛪
The village of Zennor lies between St Ives and St Just, on the Atlantic coast of Cornwall. It lies above the high, rocky cliffs of the coast and the rugged, boulder-strewn, granite hills and moors.
During the First World War, D.H Lawrence and his German wife, Frieda, stayed at the Tinners’ Arms and later rented Higher Tregerthen, near Zennor. At the time, he was writing Women in Love. The local people were very suspicious of the Lawrences, believing that they were German spies and they were eventually ordered to leave the area by the local police

Ash Oh Yeah Zennor Village Hall, Cornwall, November 23rd 2009
Ash playing Oh Yeah at Zennor Village Hall Monday 23rd November. I'm afraid the audio cuts in and out due to the inteference from the speaker I was stood next to. I had second thoughts about uploading this but thought anyone who was there would appreciate it. Venue held about 60 people and was a fantastic night. Then all over to the Tinners Arms afterwards until 3am!!

Day 71 Zennor to Lands End - 13
Ok this is it. The last day of the whole adventure. A misty day along some of the best coastal walking in Britain passing Pendeen Watch, Botallack, Cape Cornwall and Sennan Cove to the journey's conclusion at Land's End. Mrs P was taken ill so daughter Jessi came to pick me up instead for the (relatively) short trip back home to Devon for a pizza and some beer. That was it. Feel free to comment and I hope you enjoyed at least some of it. I know I did
Happy trails

St Ives, Cornwall
St Ives is a seaside town, civil parish and port in Cornwall, England. The town lies north of Penzance and west of Camborne on the coast of the Celtic Sea. In former times it was commercially dependent on fishing. The decline in fishing, however, caused a shift in commercial emphasis, and the town is now primarily a popular holiday resort, notably achieving the title of Best UK Seaside Town from the British Travel Awards in both 2010 and 2011. St Ives was incorporated by Royal Charter in 1639. St Ives has become renowned for its number of artists. It was named best seaside town of 2007 by the Guardian newspaper. It should not be confused with St Ive, a village and civil parish in south-east Cornwall.
