Oporto y Braga, Portugal
In this episode we go to visit the city of Porto. In this city the art is everywhere, which made us feel that we were totally immersed in the culture of this beautiful country. From street urban art to traditional music down in the streets of La Rebeira. We also had the opportunity to visit the book store that was also an inspiration to J.K Rowling to imagine the Wizarding World of Hogwarts; Lello e Irmaô Book Store. Then we took the train to visit another beautiful city in Portugal; Braga. There we found it to be more modern and perhaps more college town type of feeling. Being in Braga, we had the chance to go up to Bom Jesus do Monte, where gave us an amazing view!

We take a wine tour and eat grailled seafood in the nearby town of Foz do Douro. We meet great people from all over the world and see how others are traveling!

10 Things to do in Porto, Portugal Travel Guide Video Transcript: (OPORTO)
Lisbon is beautiful, but Porto is magical. We arrived in Porto with our taxi driver’s words still ringing in our ears, and we’re happy to say, the city did not disappoint!
Our time in Porto was spent sipping on Port wine, soaking in the views across the Douro River, wandering through the hilly streets, and marvelling at buildings covered in blue tiles.
In this travel guide, we’re going to share a little bit of Porto’s magic with you, and also show you some of the things you too can see, eat, and drink when you visit Porto!
Known as the Chapel of Souls, this church is covered in tiles that represent moments in the life of Saint Francis of Assisi and Saint Catherine.
This bookstore is a feast for the eyes. The bookstore was even frequented by JK Rowling when she taught English in Porto, and it’s reported to have been an inspiration in her Harry Potter series.
We continued our walk downhill until we reached the São Bento Train Station.
Porto Cathedral is one of the oldest landmarks in the city with cloisters where the walls are covered in blue tiles.
We reached the neighbourhood of Ribeira, which sits right on the shores of the Douro River. This neighbourhood is lined with many sidewalk cafes, bars, and restaurants, so it’s a nice place to rest your legs and do a bit of people watching. Feeling hungry we wandered down some of the back streets until we found a small restaurant serving up local specialities.
We made time for one more attraction: the Church of Saint Francis.
The Bridge we had all been waiting for was Dom Luis the first Bridge, which spans the Douro River. The lower deck carries regular traffic with narrow walkways for those on foot, and the upper deck is reserved for pedestrians and the metro lines.
For the best views of Porto, you need to walk the upper deck!
There was only one thing on our minds: visit one of the many wineries that line this side of the river! We ended up walking into Croft for a wine tasting without need for an appointment, and this turned out to be one of our favourite activities in Porto!
Filled to the brim with port wine, cheese and chocolate, we enjoyed a light stroll along the Douro River, watching the boats bob in the water.
That’s a wrap for our visit to Porto! We hope you guys enjoyed following along and that you got a few ideas for your own trip. If you have any other suggestions of fun things to do in and around Porto, feel free to share those with travellers in the comments below.
This is part of our Travel in Portugal video series showcasing Portuguese food, Portuguese culture and Portuguese cuisine.

Here's our first 4K 60 fps video featuring the stunning gardens of the palace of the Marquis of Pombal in Oeiras, Portugal.
Sebastião José de Carvalho e Melo, 1st Marquis of Pombal, 1st Count of Oeiras (13 May 1699 – 8 May 1782), popularly known as Marquis of Pombal (Marquês de Pombal) was an 18th-century Portuguese statesman. He was Secretary of the State of Internal Affairs of the Kingdom (the equivalent of a Prime Minister today) in the government of Joseph I of Portugal from 1750 to 1777. Undoubtedly the most prominent minister in the government, he is considered to have been its de facto head.
The palace of the Marquis of Pombal and Count of Oeiras is a typical 18th century palace located in the historical center of Oeiras, near Lisbon.
Built under the leadership of the Hungarian architect Charles Mardel during the 2nd half of the 18th century, this palace served as the official residence of the Marquis of Pombal.
The palace and surrounding gardens feature stunning architectural and artistic elements such as stuccoes, Portuguese tiles, statues, etc.
Enjoy the visit to the gardens!

Spain ideal partner for jamaica - ambassador bessa
Spanish Ambassador to Jamaica Josep Maria Bosch Bessa says that his country is the ideal foreign partner Jamaica needs to achieve its target of five per cent gross domestic product GDP growth over a fouryear period. He was speaking at the official opening of the 17th staging of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry 2017 Trade Expo at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in St James on Friday, held under the theme, Connecting Industries Building Together. The veteran diplomat, who recently began his tour of duty, said Spain had to grow its economy through tourism, foreign investments, and remittances, a similar route now employed by the Government. The Jamaican economy is growing, and we are all confident that Jamaica will break the vicious cycle of slow growth and increased public debt, the ambassador said. Government, businessmen, and civil society have the challenge of ending this economic slowness through reform and the opening of the economy, being able to attain the objective of the infamous four in five. He added, For that you need foreign partners and Spain Spanish companies are among the best options for building Jamaica together. To tell you the truth, I see Spain as the ideal partner for Jamaica. ALMOST 9,000 ROOMS According to the Spanish ambassador, his countrys investment in tourism is nearing 9,000 rooms, while there are also spinoffs in the health, engineering, and finance services. Ambassador Bessa said that Jamaica and Spain have a strong historical a...

We will avoid a situation of dependency (on others for aid) in East Timor. We will really have, as East Timor moves into the oil and gas revenue phase in three or four years from now, we will have a truly independent East Timor that will be able to run its own affairs. And that's the good news and that's the message we would like to convey to you out of this process.

All the products from the farmers, they will be very relieved. Because what they need now is money. Money to send their children to school, money to build their own houses, money to do everything - and they don't have (any money). In the first years, we can start by (doing) this.

A lot remains to be done. The Timorese must to realise that they will have to go through very difficult years before they enter this new phase - probably the second half of this decade - where the revenues, not least of the Timor Sea, will provide them with a much brighter future than they can presently predict.

STORYLINE:
In less than 48 hours, the people of East Timor will finally become an independent state.
After nearly three years of U-N administration, 24 years of Indonesian occupation, and four centuries of Portuguese colonial rule, East Timor will control its own destiny.
Former guerilla fighter Xanana Gusmao, now President-elect, will be the man to lead the world's newest country down this exciting, though uncharted, path.
Although the Timorese will be their own political rulers, it will be some time before they can afford to be independent in every way.
East Timor recently topped a list of Asia's poorest countries. The country was poverty-stricken even before Indonesian-backed militias destroyed most of its infrastructure in 1999.
Shocked by the destruction they saw, more than 25 countries and international financial institutions countries recently came together to pledge a massive amount of money to help get the tiny country back on its feet.
From donors including the I-M-F and Japan, over 440 million US dollars have now been pledged to ease East Timor's financial worries over the next three years.
Other than foreign handouts, East Timor is relying almost exclusively on tax revenues from the oil and natural gas in the Timor Sea for its first glimmer of self-sufficiency, though it will be several years before the country sees any money. The World Bank thinks this financial self-reliance is crucial for the country's future prosperity.

8. UPSOUND (English) Protestor:
Now right now you signed, you just signed with the minister of economy who is not elected by (East) Timorese people. So you have to have consultation about this. This an agreement, this is a letter. This is what we are going to send to Kofi Annan to know about what's been going on here. Timorese here have suffered so much. We have already suffered for more than 25 years, okay ? Don't sell anymore of our country. Yesterday we talked to you, as the minister of the Timor sea, Peter Galbraith (East Timor's political affairs minister), the explanation..you didn't give us a good explanation in parliament. So we need new clarification before you can sign this Timor Sea agreement today.
9. Alexander Downer and Mari Alkatiri exchange documents and shake hands
10. Cutaway clapping hands
11. Dignitaries toasting the signing with champagne
12. SOUNDBITE (English) Alexander Downer, Australian Foreign Minister:
Well this is a deal that we think will suit both sides appropriately. Obviously it's been in negotiation. We've had different positions that we've worked to resolve, that's taken a bit of time and we've resolved it. It's a very good deal for East Timor. It's a good deal for Australia. It's a win-win for both. Therefore East Timor, this should give them, on current estimates, around 7.4 (b) billion dollars (Australian) worth of revenue over the next 20 years. And for a small country that is an enormous amount of money. So, it will be a very good deal for East Timor.
13. Member of Council (protestor at presser) walk past camera
14. Set up shot of National Council press conference
15. SOUNDBITE (English) Avelilo Coelho, East Timor National Council Member:
It is important for the government to consult with the National Councils, to inform the National Councils whatever has been discussed with the Australian government, not keep silent.
16. Cutaway of press conference
17. Downer gets into car
STORYLINE:
Australia and East Timor signed an historic agreement Thursday which will allow joint resource exploration in the Timor Sea.
Australian Foreign Minister, Alexander Downer, and his East Timorese Interim Economics Minister, Mari Alkatiri, signed the document in East Timor's capital Dili, describing it as a first step towards opening a new political and business relationship.
Mr Downer described the deal as a win-win result for both sides.
But not everyone was happy with the agreement.
East Timor National Council Member, Aelilo Coelho, said that the treaty should not have been signed until after the general elections, the first in East Timor's history, due to be held in August.
The signing ceremony was also interrupted by a woman saying that the agreement had been concluded too quickly and without proper consultation with the Council, saying they will take the matter to Kofi Annan, United Nations Secretary-General.
Under the terms of the treaty, East Timor will receive 90 per cent of the royalties from the venture, Australia 10 per cent.
East Timor stands to gain more than US 7 (b) billion dollars and Australia more than a (b) billion dollars in royalties, over the next two decades.

Debunking: Drug Decriminalization In Portugal Is A Failure!
Contrary to what drug warriors argue, drug decriminalization in Portugal has been an outstanding success. Since the policy change, problem drug-usage rates have actually declined, as has the number of intravenous HIV/AIDS transmissions and drug-related deaths. These outcomes are the product of both decriminalization and harm-reduction programs working in concert. Here, I run through the data in these areas while also debunking some of the arguments made by critics of Portugal's decriminalization.
