GOOD MORNING AMERICA'S HOMEPAGE:
Trump's defense team arguments in Trump impeachment trial (Day 6)
Trump's legal team will begin laying out its case in depth, turning to several high-profile attorneys to argue against impeachment.
The lawyers revealed the broad outlines of their defense in a rare but truncated Saturday session, where they accused House Democrats of using the impeachment case to try to undo the results of the last presidential election and drive Trump from office.
The legal team is expected to pick up on that theme and also dive into areas that received negligible attention during the Democrats' presentation, including the now-concluded investigation into ties between Russia and Trump's 2016 campaign.

For many pioneers headed west, the Missouri River served as the
first leg in their journey to the Western Trails. Travis Boley,,
rethinks the Missouri River in terms of its unique status as a
waterway that doubles as a National Historic Trail.
He is already engaged in creating a 40 mile hiking/biking trail
in the shared historic corridor of the Oregon/California/Santa Fe
Trail from Sugar Creek, Missouri to Gardner, Kansas. It will
intersect with the Katy Trail Extension at 63rd and Blue Ridge
Blvd. in Raytown, Missouri making it possible for hikers and
bikers to easily access the Missouri River at the former Wayne
City Landing near present day Sugar Creek, Missouri.
His grander vision includes opening up wide swaths of the
Missouri River shoreline to allow similar non-motorized access to
our metro area’s riverfront, including trails that connect the
remaining historic sites from the Lewis & Clark Expedition and
the old riverboat landings for the wagon roads. This concept
would fully realize the idea that Congress established in the
1968 National Trails Act, which called for the building of
“retracement” trails in such corridors to forever preserve these
corridors.

About BOMBS AWAY
Bombs Away begins with President Harry Truman in desperate consultation with General Douglas MacArthur, whose control of the ground war in Korea has slipped disastrously away. MacArthur recognizes a stark reality: The U.S. military has been cut to the bone after victory over the Nazis—while China and the USSR have built up their forces. The only way to stop the Communist surge into the Korean Peninsula and save thousands of American lives is through a nuclear attack. MacArthur advocates a strike on Chinese targets in Manchuria. In actual history, Truman rejected his general’s advice; here, he does not. The miscalculation turns into a disaster when Truman fails to foresee Russia’s reaction.

Richard Nixon Cemetery and Creek
This is a headstone on property formerly belonging to Richard Nixon, the first settler to build a cabin in Haywood County, Tennessee. He was born January 26, 1769 in Hanover County, North Carolina to Thomas Williams (1746-1782) and Christian Williams Nixon (1746-1831). As payment for his father’s service in the Revolutionary War, Nixon was granted 3,600 acres in the “Western District” in 1821. He chose to build a cabin on a creek off the Forked Deer River making him the first official settler in the area of Haywood County, Tennessee. He then quickly built a store and landing on the Hatchie River to capitalize on the traffic of settlers and farmers moving into the area. On March 8, 1824, a group of early settlers gathered at Richard Nixon’s cabin on what was by then named Nixon Creek to hold the first session of the Haywood County Court. The leaders of the new community continued to meet at Nixon’s home until 1825 when the first log courthouse was completed on the town square of Brownsville, about three mile west of this location. Richard Nixon died on July 25, 1831 at age 62. According to records, he was buried in the Nixon Family Cemetery about 3 miles east of Brownsville. While it can't be proven, it was possibly right here on this very spot. The remains of a cabin can be seen to the right of the lone headstone. It's possible that was the location of the cabin. Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
This timeline of United States government military operations is based on the Committee on International Relations (now known as the U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs). Dates show the years in which U.S. government military units participated. Items in bold are the U.S. government wars most often considered to be major conflicts by historians and the general public. Note that instances where the U.S. government gave aid alone, with no military personnel involvement, are excluded, as are Central Intelligence Agency operations.
