Dec. 8 and 9, 2018 at the Village Playhouse in Bancroft, Ontario. NHHS has 450 students from grades 9 to 12 and one music teacher. We were honoured to have Joey Niceforo as our guest artist to premiere this new arrangement of A Canadian Christmas by Suresh Singaratnam.

Forever and Eternity
This is video of my wedding vows to my wonderful husband on our wedding day. Ever since I was a little girl I had dreamed of singing my wedding vows, and I made that dream come true! I titled it Forever and Eternity :-)

BIKINI CABARET! - Melville Boys Adventures Ep 4
A group of theatre artists make their way to cottage-country to put on a show called The Melville Boys by Norm Foster at the Bancroft Village Playhouse.
As there are only six people in the company (Black Sheep Theatre) the actors, director and stage manager play the roles of set designers, lighting/sound designers/technicians, costume and makeup designers and miscellaneous crew members as they get the show stage-ready. All this after being away from rehearsals for over 6 weeks during which time they were all working on other productions. Now they have only 3 days to finish building and decorating the set, hang and focus the theatre's lighting and rehearse the show.
This series of vlogs documents their time working on this show and enjoying the fine summer weather in Bancroft, Ontario.

Highlights From All Canadian Music Eh? - Performed by North Hastings HS 2nd Semester Mass Band
Dianne Winmill is the receipiant of the 2017 MusiCounts Teacher of the Year Award. We first met Dianne at her award presentation in Toronto, on February 1, 2017, at the Blue Rodeo's Woodshed Studio. She is a dedicated teacher at North Hastings High School in Bancroft. After receiving her award, there was a whrilwind of activity that lead her to Ottawa to attend the 2017 JUNO Awards. In June, once the dust settled, I had the opportunity to visit Diane in Bancroft, Ontario and spend the day with her at school, a concert and at home. It was an energetic day, to say the least, and it was filled with fun, love and music.
The Semester Two Mass Band performed a matinee and evening concert to showcase their work at the Village Playhouse. It was called All Canadian Music Eh?, which was just that, music written and performed by Canadian songwriters and artists. It was a delight for the parents, grandparent, aunts and uncles in the audience. Dianne, herself, did a very special song for her students. This video is shows some of the highlights of those concerts.

White Christmas - Joey Niceforo & Julie Moffitt with NHHS Senior Music Classes
December 8 and 9, 2018, the North Hasting High School (NHHS) Music Program held their annual Christmas concert at The Village Playhouse in beautiful downtown Bancroft, Ontario. Headed by their music teacher Dianne Winmill, who was the 2017 recipient of the MusiCounts Teacher of the Year award, this year's concert was a particular highlight for all involved. It was their first Celebrity Christmas.
This year's celebrity artist was Joey Niceforo. Niceforo has had a remarkable career to date. He was one of the original Canadian Tenors back in 2005-2006, later forming his own ensemble, Destino, who went on to perform world-wide. Some notable date include opening for the 2008 Beijing and 2010 Vancouver Olympics and the famous Carnegie Hall in New York City. In 2016, he ventured out on a solo career. His album 'Priceless', was released in April 2018. This incredible masterpiece was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, England with top producers, songwriters and musicians making it happen. The album debuted at #3 on the iTunes Pop Charts and led to an eventful year of media and tour dates including a 3-week visit to China in September.
Here, Niceforo sings a duet with music student, Julie Moffitt. A wonderful rendition of the classic White Christmas. The band is conducted by Shelley Lavoy and Dianne Winmill joins the brass section to accompany on trumpet.
