London Wine: London's First Vineyard Since The Middle Ages
SUBSCRIBE:
FOR the first time since the Middle Ages, grapes from a commercial-scale vineyard have been harvested in London. Volunteers from Forty Hall Vineyard in Enfield, north London, have picked bunches of tiny ortega grapes - all within view of landmarks such as Canary Wharf and The Shard. These grapes, with other varieties yet to be picked, will be used to produce still and Champagne-style sparkling white wines.

South East Today on BBC 1 TV - Thursday 17 June 2010
Lamberhurst Presentation Day Shot Gun Start
Presentation day has finally arrive at Lamberhurst golf club. A shot gun start competition was set up to encourage people to be at the presentation for the years trophies. You chose your own partner and it was a betterball Stableford format.
This is a completely different video for me and I would appreciate some feedback. Once I get use to doing this I feel I will get better.
Myself and Gallard scored 42 points and Lew and Mearo scored 32 points in the better ball format.

British wine wins prizes
The sene almost looks like France or even Italy - vineyards rolling almost as far as the eye can see - but in fact these 265 acres of vineyards are in England, just 20 miles west of London. Traditionally this part of the world has been considered too cold for serious wine growing, but these vineyards are planted with 15 different grape varieties and with better growing techniques and warmer weather, they are all thriving.
Scotney Castle south-east of Lamberhurst in the valley of the River Bewl in Kent
Scotney Castle is an English country house with formal gardens south-east of Lamberhurst in the valley of the River Bewl in Kent, England. It belongs to the National Trust.
The gardens, which are a celebrated example of the Picturesque style, are open to the public. The central feature is the ruins of a medieval, moated manor house, Scotney Old Castle, which is on an island on a small lake. The lake is surrounded by sloping, wooded gardens with fine collections of rhododendrons, azaleas and kalmia for spring colour, summer wisteria and roses, and spectacular autumn colour.
At the top of the garden stands a house which was built to replace the Old Castle between 1835 and 1843. This is known as Scotney New Castle, or simply Scotney Castle, and was designed by Anthony Salvin. It is an early, and unusually restrained, example of Tudor Revival architectural style in 19th century Britain. Following the death of the resident, Elizabeth Hussey, in 2006, this house was opened to the public for the first time on 6 June 2007.[1]
