Great to see her close up,receiving care and attention over the winter. Long may we see her in the air, her flying display is one of the loudest, and most evocative you'll witness. Catch it while you can
Thanks to all at The Vulcan Experience, and Steve & Marie for a memorable afternoon.
Avro Vulcan XH558. Final Flight. Robin Hood Airport, Doncaster. 13 Oct 2015
The iconic RAF Avro Vulcan Bomber XH558 very last flight at *Robin Hood Airport, Doncaster on 13 Oct 2015 at the end of the Vulcan tour.
You will hear in the video, a Vulcan Bomber engineer recalling some memories of his time with the plane. It was a pleasure to meet and chat to him whilst I was filming.
Segments of the video are really grainy. I had to use max zoom (120x) to film ground crew carrying out inspections.
I could have edited out some of the plane taxiing, but kept them in to savour every last moment of its final day of flight.
A pure joy to watch and experience The Spirit of Great Britain.
Two media clips added are from BBC & ITV. No copyright infringement is intended. I added them purely to supplement information and entertainment.

RIP headphone users
This video is the first i have uploaded with some actual editing in also the first time recording with my new camera a Cannon EOS 1200D and have yet to get to purchase a tripod to stabalise the shooting so beware of the bumpiness, also the wind was quite rough in this due to the fact i was stood on a van to get unobstructed views.
This year is said to be the last for flying the Avro Vulcan and happy i got to see it fly.
This video is made up of a number of clips and so may be a bit jumpy.
Hope you get some enjoyment out of this and there is more content like this on my channel

Doncaster Sheffield Airport – Power Up North
DSA is officially the UK’s best airport, consistently coming top in polls and surveys that cover travellers’ experiences. The next stage of the airport’s journey is both exciting and expansive. Over the next 10 years its operations are projected to grow from 1 million to 5 million passenger movements. Key to this growth are the incorporation of an East Coast mainline station and the long-term commitment of the airport’s owners, Peel Group, to the creation of an “Aerotropolis”, capable of servicing the entire region and generating its own, vibrant economic environment. To make this happen demands a huge amount of planning and a collaborative effort. These principles also apply to the making of our PR film, which captures the airport as it is today as well as unveiling the place-making vision for the future.

Vulcan bomber makes final ever flight over Doncaster Airport - Daily Mail
Following its £75,000 farewell tour of Britain earlier this month the Cold War aircraft today took a final short trip from Doncaster before retiring to a hangar at the town's Robin Hood Airport where it will be put on display. Such is the scale of the Vulcan's popularity that organisers had to keep the details of its final flight under wraps until the last minute through fear it could attract thousands of spectators and endanger the airport's normal operations. The XH558 roared into the skies later than expected as low cloud and rain threatened to scupper the final flight completely. It did two wide circuits of the airport, coming in low over the runway the first time around, performing a touch-and-go manoeuvre on the second, and landing on the third. The aircraft then taxied back to its base where it was greeted with a traditional salute from the airport's fire vehicles and cheers from waiting supporters.
