2016 ICP Infinity Award: Trustee — Artur Walther
Artur Walther spent 20 years on Wall Street as an investment banker. As he neared the end of his career, he decided that rather than retire, he would develop a passion. That passion became photography, leading him to take more than a dozen classes at ICP and eventually to earn a place on the organization's board. It’s a position he held in one form or another for 16 years. For his commitment to ICP and the field of photography, he is being recognized as the 2016 Infinity Award winner: Trustee.
Over the years, Walter’s greatest passion became collecting. He converted his mother’s house in Ulm, Germany into an exhibition space and has slowly amassed the world’s largest privately held collection of African photography. He has exhibited the work across the world and published many renowned books,.
Walther is less concerned with the “perfect moment.” For him, it’s about “understanding and learning and investigating certain themes and cultures.”
Since 1985, the International Center of Photography has recognized outstanding achievements in photography with its prestigious Infinity Awards. The awards ceremony is also ICP’s primary fundraising benefit, with its revenues assisting the center's various programs.
Harbers Studios commissioned MediaStorm, on behalf of ICP, to create a short film about each of the recipients to screen at the awards ceremony and to display online. The films pay tribute to the contributions of each artist to the craft and field of photography and demonstrate ICP's commitment to them.

The word handgun generally means a gun that has been created to be used by the hand and that has a chamber that is integrated to the barrel in comparison to other kinds of guns such as a revolver that contains a rotating cylinder. Let’s have a look at the best top ten handguns in the world.
1. Glock-17
Glock 17
The company Glock GmbH that belongs to Deutsh-Wagram in Austria created the Glock handgun, which is a semi automatic pistol. It first appeared in the early 1980s and it’s still used in different parts of the world. The handgun comes with a short recoil and a locked breech system as well as rotating barrel that can discharge Parabellum cartridge of 9x19millimeters. The Austrian armed forces and the American Law Enforcement agencies use this handgun. These pistols have been a moneymaking product for the company as it represents 65 percent of the total market share of pistols in the USA.
2. Smith & Wesson .500 S&W Magnum
Smith & Wesson .500 S&W Magnum
Smith & Wesson is the most important producer of Magnum handguns in the USA. The guns the company makes are mostly used in Hollywood movies like Dirty Harry, which starred Clint Eastwood. According to experts, this handgun is the best sporting pistol cartridge because of the barrel energy it produces. The handgun is actually a revolver of two actions, which offers users speed as well as power. Nevertheless, it’s important that because of the high recoil it has, this is not the right gun for beginners and you have to be very careful when handling it.
3. FN Herstal FNP-9
FN Herstal FNP-9
The FB Herstal FNP-9 is a semi automatic handgun made with a frame if polymer and belongs to a lot that was manufactures in the USA. It has an unparalleled trigger that is soft and wide. Apart from that, it has a reset that is nothing similar to the ones of other handguns, which turns the pistol into a very easy-to-use and effective gun. It has the capability to discharge sixteen rounds of nine millimeters.
4. Beretta 92
Beretta 92
The Beretta 92 was first created in Italy. The handgun has the capability to discharge a Parabellum cartridge of 9x19millimeters. It has been in the market for more than thirty years and it is currently used by the military forces of France, Italy and the USA. The best feature of the Beretta, which is the design of open slide, will ensure you that you can fire bullets all the time and it even helps you make sure that the obstacles on the way won’t change the course of the bullet.
5. Walther P99
Walther P99

The Walther Model P-38 Pistol
Introduced in 1937, and designed specifically for the German army, the Walther P-38 was one of the finest side arms used during the Second World War. Larry Potterfield, Founder and CEO of MidwayUSA, examines the P-38 in this GunTec presentation. This pistol was chambered for the 9m Luger cartridge and features an eight round magazine. The firearm is a double action design with an exposed hammer. While the exact production numbers are unknown, specimens in excellent condition are becoming increasingly rare.
Order of the Holy Communion, Lutheran Church Missouri Synod 1941
INTRODUCTION
The Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod (LCMS) published a set of 78 rpm phonograph records through the Concordia Publishing House in St. Louis, probably to coincide with the introduction of the 1941 hymnal. That traditional hymnal has since been replaced throughout most churches with yet another hymnal featuring more contemporary forms of praise music, to the disappointment of some. To the old-timers I lovingly dedicate this video. These fragile original records were borrowed from the record collection of my fellow-collector and organist friend, Ralph Pugh.
TECHNICAL DETAILS
The recordings were made on location and were probably cut on acetate disks using a portable cutter. The results were less than studio grade. Some background noise will be noticed due to record wear. Some of the records were so heavily warped that transcriptions had be taken at reduced speeds and then digitally sped up again. Minimal noise filtration was used to preserve as much fidelity of the recordings as possible.
