Doctor DeSoto - Live @ The Wheatsheaf; 'Paperback Parade'
We strapped a small camera to the PUB CAT at The Wheatsheaf Hotel, Thebarton South Australia.
The cat was surprisingly focussed, although the footage is a bit bumpy in parts because Jim Kesting was feeding the cat a saucer of boutique beer.
A special thanks to Jim Kesting, Adelaide's number one music fan. His archive just keeps growing...
From Adelaide, South Australia - 'Doctor DeSoto' unites experienced songwriters Mikey Green (multiple ARIA Award winners 'The Audreys'), Dave Pagano ('Gone To Earth'), Mark Lockwood ('The Milk'), and Mel Horsman ('The Martial Hearts', 'Highway 31').
Acoustic, tumbleweed tunes from the edge of town, alongside Polaroid pop with infectious vintage beats.
Call it what you will -
The music explores a range of contemporary styles, yet there is this pervading sense of nostalgia – you feel that this is a band that has the ability to encompass all the good things about the sounds of another era in rock and roll. …. with instant likeability - Wirra Creek Music

Doctor DeSoto - Live @ The Wheatsheaf; 'Government Crackdown'
We strapped a small camera to the PUB CAT at The Wheatsheaf Hotel, Thebarton South Australia.
The cat was surprisingly focussed, although the footage is a bit bumpy in parts because Jim Kesting was feeding the cat a saucer of boutique beer.
A special thanks to Jim Kesting, Adelaide's number one music fan. His archive just keeps growing...
'Doctor DeSoto' brings together the restless spirits and song-craft of Mikey Green (ARIA Award winners 'The Audreys'), Dave Pagano ('Gone To Earth'), Mark Lockwood ('The Milk'), and Mel Horsman ('The Martial Hearts', 'Highway 31').
Edge-of-town acoustic jangles and torchlight songs, alongside punchy roots-pop which evokes the Polaroid days of radio. Stories about the strangeness of suburbia and the flicker of streetlights delivered over infectious rhythms and tremolo guitars.

Moonta Street Moonta Street
Moonta Street: Moonta Street
written and arranged by Keith Preston and Moonta Street
Moonta Street is the heart of Adelaide's Chinatown...and it's where the Moonta Street band rehearses.
Moonta is a famous copper town in SA's mid North and the road points towards Moonta. Moonta is an Australian Aboriginal word meaning `impenetrable bushland`, and this song is a homage to the Chinese Lions on Moonta Street which guard the gateway to Chinatown (& the North). These lions came to China via Buddhism and represent good fortune & power- Keith Preston

This is a song for the Oceans. In a short space of time we are dealing with melting polar icecaps, plastic waste, over-fishing and a sea in crisis at a global level.
