Rosy Guesthouse Siem Reap Cambodia Review
A review of the fantastic Rosy Guesthouse Siem Reap Cambodia. Its shot at night time so a little dark, if i get chance i will do another showing it during the day. It is my most favourite place in Asia and has been the place to stay for a holiday every couple of years since around 2008.

Siem Reap, Cambodia
An afternoon fun in Siem Reap with friends!
Go fund me initiative - Siem Reap Cambodia
Hello dear friends, family, strangers.
I’m reaching out to you guys on this sunday 17'th of December 2017 with a hope to make a small contribution with the help from you to an amazing charity foundation I encountered on my travels to Cambodia.
The charity found is called The White Bicycle, and I think they have some very significant and important projects going on - they are the biggest contributor to eco tourism in the region, they are sponsoring scholarships for young locals, and they provide clean drinking water in rural areas of the province of Siem Reap by managing the production of water filters for clean drinking water combined with basic health and sanitation education.
In detail “The White Bicycle” is a non-profit bike rental charity. By renting bikes to tourists/guesthouses/ resorts The White Bicycle support education development; they sponsor scholarships for local youths who have motivation and dreams to be well informed and intellectually aware, but have no resources just too many challenges. As these dreams stir in many locals, why not make an effort to fortify them with important life skills so that they can improve their economic situation and become an active and productive member of their community.
You will also be supporting “The Giant Puppet project” which provides a creative platform for disadvantaged children to foster and promote self expression and confidence through art. How rad is that?!?
Every penny counts!! We need to raise a minimum of 850 EUR / 1000 USD which is the price of the handmade cargo bike made by my friends and expats living in Siem Reap Province Mathias Kinnunen and Julie Saiph. Giving this bike to The White Bicycle and the remaining amount will go to support the education scholarships, water filter production and “The Giant Puppet Project”
With the Cargo Bike you can be sure that your donation will be a continuously ongoing contribution to supporting all these projects!! With the cargo bikes in continual use, the result is the perfect sustainable charity in all aspects.

Is Angkor Wat Worth It? TOP 9 Temples - Know BEFORE You Go (Siem Reap, Cambodia)
Use this as a guide to the Angkor province. We visited 9 temples and are listing them out below with times in case you want to skip through.
Where we stayed: (Villa Um Theara)
To keep up with the adventure- subscribe! Every week we release a video on the most recent destination we visited!
Angkor is completely worth the hype! It's conveniently located close to Siem Reap (which is like a small Bangkok). Check out pub street for a party scene similar to Khao San Road. Authentic food is far and between but we're listing our top 2 pics below (don't judge on the Korean BBQ...)
If time is what you are worried about; you can easily see 4-8 temples with a 1 day pass. You WILL need to get a Tuk Tuk to pull that off. Daily rentals are between $15-$20. Don't miss the sunrise at Angkor Wat and make sure you pick a spot on the south pond as the north gets extremely packed!
Temple Times:
Angkor Wat (Daytime): 4:00 -5:50
Ta Prohm Temple: 5:52 - 7:10
Angkor Wat (Sunrise): 8:05 -9:52
Angkor Thom/Bayon Temple: 10:06 -10:53
Baphuon Temple: 10:54 - 11:44
Terrace of the Elephants: 11:45 - 11:52
Royal Palace: 11:53 - 11:59
Preah Khan Temple: 12:02 -12:48
Neak Pean Temple: 12:49 - 13:14
East Baray Temple: 13:25 - 13:48
**Our must see temples were: Angkor Wat, Bayon Temple, Ta Prohm & Preah Khan
Travel Tips: Bring lots of water, sunscreen and good walking shoes to the temples. For more details on planning your visit to Angkor Archaeological Park, check out our friend JP's Travel Guide listed below:

Motorcycling Cambodia ; Truly a Hidden Gem
What a great ride I had around Cambodia. There is soooo much to see and do. I rented my bike from Victory Motorcycle Rentals in Phnom Penh. They provided a VERY well maintained machine! The bike seemed almost brand NEW! Whether you need a scooter or a cruiser or even a dirt bike like me, go see Johnny for your bike needs in Cambodia!
Phare Circus, Siem Reap, Cambodia May 2016
This video is about Phare Circus, Siem Reap, Cambodia May 2016. This show was entitled Sokha and it is the story of a young girl who was traumatized by war and its aftermath. Through dance, theater, and acrobatics, Sokha conveys a wide range of emotions. This one-hour show made me laugh and cry. The music is evocative and the actors/performers were magnificent. Kudos to the writers, performers, and director.

Cambodian cuisine/Restaurants:
Khmer cuisine or, more generally, Cambodian cuisine, is the traditional cuisine of the people of Cambodia. Average meals typically consists of more than one dish and ideally contrasts flavours, textures and temperatures within the meal using plenty of herbs, leaves, pickled vegetables, dipping sauces, edible flowers and other garnishes and condiments.
The staple food for Cambodians is rice. Today rice is consumed by most Cambodians daily and with all meals, using a great number of cooking styles and techniques. There are hundreds of varieties of indigenous Khmer rice, from the fragrant jasmine-scented malis rice to countless types of wild, brown and sticky rice. Sticky rice is most often consumed as a dessert, often with slices of tropical fruit like mango or durian and coconut milk.Rice is eaten throughout the day in the form of street-side snacks, such as deep-fried rice cakes with chives and spinach, for breakfast, as in Cambodia's famous rice noodle soup kuyteav or rice porridge, and in many desserts. Plain white rice is served with nearly every family meal, typically served with grilled freshwater fish, a samlor or soup, and an assortment of seasonal herbs, salad leaves and vegetables.
Water, rice and freshwater fish exert the most profound influences on Khmer cuisine. The Mekong river, the twelfth longest in the world cuts through the very heart of Cambodia. The capital Phnom Penh is on its riverbank, at the junction where two other rivers meet: the Tonle Sap and Bassac. The Tonle Sap river connects the Mekong with the Tonle Sap lake, or Great Lake, which acts as a liquid heart and natural reservoir for the entire Mekong river system, regulating the flow of huge volumes of water, and allowing the safe passage of an astonishing number of freshwater fish. The lake itself is believed to have more fish than any other in the world and ranks second only to the Amazon river in biodiversity.
Khmer cuisine shares many commonalities with the food of neighboring Thailand — although, less chilli, sugar and coconut cream are used for flavor — and of neighboring Vietnam, with which it shares and adopts many common dishes, as well as a colonial history, as both formed part of the French colonial empire in Southeast Asia. It has drawn upon influences from the cuisines of China and France, powerful players in Cambodian history. The Chinese began arriving in the 13th century, but Chinese migration accelerated during the French period. Curry dishes, known as kari (in Khmer, ការី) show a trace of cultural influence from India. The many variations of rice noodles show the influences from Chinese cuisine. Preserved lemons are another unusual ingredient not commonly found in the cooking of Cambodia's neighbours; it is used in some Khmer dishes to enhance the sourness. The Portuguese and Spanish also had considerable influence in Cambodian affairs in the 16th century, introducing chilli and peanuts into Asia from the New World. However, chilli never gained the same status or prominence as it did with the cuisines of neighboring Thailand, Laos and Malaysia. Even today very few recipes include chilli.
