While all the TV crews are reporting on the washed away houses and train tracks I see other things of interest also. Mostly wild life.
A Train Ride from London Paddington to Torquay 2019
I took a train ride from London Paddington to Torquay this Summer, and thought I'd record bits of the journey - most of the way past Reading, Newbury, and Westbury, then the entire ride from Exeter St Davids to Newton Abbot and some from there to Torquay station. Of course, I include the fantastic Devon coast scenery in full, including Dawlish Warren Beach and Teignmouth.

ABOUT ALPHATUCANA
This channel is about 'waking up' from our matrix-induced slumber, and about leaving the World a better place than we found it. For most of us, our powers and motivation are strictly limited. We are fundamentally alone in a vast and mysterious Universe, but in the struggle to survive, to 'succeed', or to just get by, we sometimes forget the bigger picture, and we sometimes forget to just relax for a while and remember what an amazing World this is. There is plenty to look at: science, Nature, society... And there are plenty of games to help us get away from it all... So on this channel, I vlog about science, Nature, enlightenment, current affairs and much else besides, I upload sightseeing videos showing London, England, or my holidays elsewhere, and I upload gameplay videos. So why not join in for a while and see what you think?
POSTING SCHEDULE
This depends in part on whether I have had time to record videos in between going to work and living the rest of my life! Usually it runs like this:
- Sat or Sun: a vlog or sightseeing video at midday (UK time).
- Gameplay videos: pretty random - typically at midday on weekdays, but not all the time.
- If I have something extra to post it usually appears at some random time :) I may livestream occasionally too.

John Bentley At Tri-Ang (1970-1975)
This material is filmed in colour.
Merton, London or Merthyr Tydfil, Wales.
Various shots of several officials walking around the people working on production line in toy factory Tri-ang Pedigree. One of the men is John Bentley who is visiting a factory. Most of the workers are women. Various shots of the factory and its surroundings - typical English countryside. A castle is seen, unclear which. More shots of the factory with sign on front reading `Tri-ang Pedigree Ltd'. More shots of the women in a large factory hall working on industrial sewing machines seated in long rows.
Cataloguer's note - Unclear who John Bentley is - Found one John Bentley in `Who is Who' - a successful businessman - could be him?
A Pathe website user has informed us that John Bentley's company Barclay Securities Ltd bought Tri-ang in December 1971. He closed the Merton, London SW19 factory in June 1972 and moved production to Merthyr Tydfil in Wales. He sold Tri-ang by 1975.

FGW HST Heads-Out Through Dawlish Stations & Sea Wall.
Whilst returning from a holiday in the fine town of Plymouth in Devon, which involved a pleasant rail journey on a FGW HST to London Paddington via Bristol, I decided to film a section of the journey from a 'heads-out' view through Dawlish and Dawlish Warren station, with the very beautiful, scenic section of the Dawlish Sea Wall in the middle of it all! And here is the result.
Apologies for the finger mark seen at the bottom of the screen whilst approaching Dawlish station, I was trying to remove a drop of water from the bottom of the lens which unfortunately I was unseccsessful in doing.
Enjoy :)

Pendon Museum - The Vale of White Horse
From the Pendon Museum website:
The Vale Scene is probably the largest diorama based on accurately reproduced buildings, landscape and railways to be found anywhere.
The Vale of White Horse is a rural area of Oxfordshire in the south of England. Many features of the Vale have either been demolished or significantly modified since the 1930s, leaving Pendon's Vale Scene as the sole representation of those times.
We provide visitors with an understanding of many aspects of life in the 1930s .
