The Malvern Hills from the Herefordshire Beacon
South of Worcester are the Malvern Hills AONB. They cover parts of Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire counties. The Malvern Hills are especially popular for hiking as there are many paths and ridge walks with outstanding views. The hills run along the Herefordshire - Worcestershire border for just over 8 miles. The highest point is the Worcestershire Beacon (in Worcestershire) at 1,394 feet.
The Herefordshire Beacon itself is surrounded by an Iron Age hill fort earthworks known as British Camp and is near to Little Malvern (and the Little Malvern Priory) with Ledbury just 4 miles to the south west. It is just one of the many peaks along the Malvern Hills at a height of 1,109 feet.
Parking available just off the A449 and near The Malvern Hills Hotel.
Here we can mainly see the Malvern Hills west side in evening sunlight.

I have tried for many years, without success, to get some safe parking controls which incorporate the local residents parking requirements. If, like me, you feel action needs taking please contact the Colwall Parish Clerk see
