2 Robbery Gangs Jailed (West Midlands +Stockport) Cash Machines #StreetNews
Body worn video from a security guard showing the moment he was attacked by axe-wielding robbers was released today, as the gang behind the attack started prison sentences totalling nearly 60 years.
The video shows the security guard close a petrol station gate behind him before the gang barged through it and marched him into a back office
The thugs escaped with £75,000 and the shaken worker was left so traumatised that he later resigned.
But a major investigation by the West Midlands Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU) unmasked the gang – and proved their involvement in two other robberies.
Evidence against the gang included text message conversations discussing stolen cigarettes, CCTV footage showing gang members carrying out recces of targets and footage of some of the men wearing clothing they later wore during robberies.
The gang members were:
• Marcus Cohen, aged 39 of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to rob, as well as a house burglary in Cheylesmore, and handling cigarettes stolen from a burglary at Asda in Cheylesmore on 3 March last year. He was jailed for 21 years at Warwick Crown Court on August 1 and is now classed as a dangerous offender.
• Ashley Bell, aged 33, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to rob, and the same handling charge. He was jailed for 22 years and is also a dangerous offender. He and Cohen have previously been convicted of taking part in a serious wounding together.
• Connor Sanderson, aged 21, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to rob, and a house burglary in Cheylesmore, as well as the handling charge. He was jailed for 14 years.
• Thomas Bruce, aged 29, of no fixed address, was found guilty of conspiracy to rob and will be sentenced on 28 August.
• Charlene Shaw, aged 39, was found guilty of conspiracy to rob and will be sentenced on the same day.
A second gang was jailed recently from Stockport operating in Manchester,Yorkshire, Cheshire and Wales .
By piping gas into the machines then igniting it to cause an explosion, they had netted £418,500.
Nearly all the raids were at Co-op stores - and always between midnight and 5am.
We had a surveillance operation, we were behind them that day.
It was clear what they were going to do.
Operation Cass was launched by GMP following a spike in ATM offences in mid-2018. Machines were blown up and safes opened with angle grinders.

Special report: Paedophile hunters track down suspects
Warning: this report contains descriptions of explicit messages.
Teams of paedophile hunters from across the country are joining forces to form their own national federation, in an attempt to work more responsibly with law and order.
Sky News was given exclusive access to follow several teams from the Midlands and the north of England, who banded together to track down and confront a suspected sex offender.
Volunteers from four of the groups acted as decoys, posing as underage girls on internet chatrooms, to gather evidence on the man.
Assistant Chief Constable Dan Vajzovic is responsible for helping set national police policy around paedophile hunting groups.
He told Sky News: There are occasions when activist groups have carried out investigations and handed over evidence to the police and that has resulted in dangerous paedophiles being locked up, he said.
However, our overall impression is that activist groups are not helpful to the policing operation for a range of reasons.
Some of the activities we've seen them carry out have resulted in people with mental health issues and others with learning difficulties being targeted.
People are sometimes not actually paedophiles.

Places to see in ( Middleton - UK )
Places to see in ( Middleton - UK )
Middleton is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale, Greater Manchester, England, on the River Irk 5 miles south-southwest of Rochdale and 4.4 miles north-northeast of Manchester city centre. In 2001, Middleton had a population of 45,580, reducing to 42,972 at the 2011 Census. It lies on the northern edge of Manchester, with Blackley to the south and Moston to the south east.
Historically part of Lancashire, Middleton's name comes from it being the centre of several circumjacent settlements. It was an ecclesiastical parish of the hundred of Salford, ruled by aristocratic families. The Church of St Leonard is a Grade I listed building. The Flodden Window in the church's sanctuary is thought to be the oldest war memorial in the United Kingdom, memorialising the archers of Middleton who fought at the Battle of Flodden in 1513.
In 1770, Middleton was a village of twenty houses, but in the 18th and 19th centuries it grew into a thriving and populous seat of textile manufacture and it was granted borough status in 1886.
Langley in the north of the town was one of Manchester City Council's overspill council estates, whilst Alkrington in the south is a suburban area.
Although unmentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, Middleton is said to be of great antiquity; a community at Middleton is thought to have evolved outwards from a church that existed considerably earlier than the Norman conquest of England. The name Middleton first appears in 1194, and derives from the Old English middel-tūn, meaning middle farm or settlement, probably a reference to its central position between Rochdale and Manchester.
During the Middle Ages, Middleton was a centre of domestic flannel and woollen cloth production. The development of Middleton as a centre of commerce occurred during the 17th and 18th centuries as a result of the effect of the Industrial Revolution. Additional to this, Lord Suffield obtained a Royal Charter from King George III in 1791 to hold a weekly market and three annual summer fairs in Middleton. Suffield built a market house, warehouses and shambles in the town at his own expense.
Middleton stands on undulated land immediately north of the Metropolitan Borough of Manchester; Chadderton and Royton are close to the east. The town of Rochdale lies to the north-northeast. The town is supposed to have derived its name, Middle-town, from its situation midway between Manchester and Rochdale. It is situated on an ancient road between those places. Middleton town centre is around 100 feet (30 m) above sea level.

INVESTIGATION: Sheep Brutally Killed in UK Slaughterhouse
YOUR DONATION NOW WILL HELP ENSURE THESE ABUSES END!
Today, Animal Equality UK released a new investigation filmed inside a sheep slaughterhouse. The disturbing recordings, filmed during July and August 2019 at Farmers Fresh Wales slaughterhouse in Wrexham, North Wales, detail unimaginable cruelty and immense suffering. Farmers Fresh Wales supplies customers in London and across the Midlands, as well as continental Europe.
THE DETAILS: The horrifying footage, filmed by one of our undercover investigators, reveals sheep and lambs brutally killed in front of each other and the use of inadequate machinery, which results in animals becoming painfully trapped. Much of this suffering took place with a Food Standards Agency inspector present. Our investigators also found:
Sheep being decapitated while hanging in mid-air, their severed heads discarded in full view of animals awaiting slaughter;
Sheep suspended upside down from a conveyor belt being killed in view of other animals;
Bloody corpses piled on the backs of live sheep on a conveyor, who are left to struggle under the immense weight;
Tiny lambs and emaciated sheep falling through a gap in the machinery;
Sheep whose heads are wedged in the equipment and whose limbs become entangled with other sheep;
Workers using brute force to try and pull trapped sheep out of the conveyor belt, causing pain and distress;
Stunning with a captive bolt gun, attempted with non-optimal positioning, increasing the risk of ineffective stunning.
A PATTERN OF ABUSE: The investigation comes after another animal protection charity, Animal Aid, recently exposed appalling images of brutal animal abuse in this same slaughterhouse. Their undercover exposé, filmed earlier in 2019, prompted the launch of a criminal investigation by the Food Standards Agency (FSA). Despite this ongoing criminal probe – and with an FSA inspector present to witness many issues first-hand – Animal Equality has found further evidence of severe mistreatment of animals taking place routinely. Animal Equality has sent a letter of complaint reporting the findings to the FSA, urging it to take enforcement action against Farmers Fresh.
WHAT WE’RE SAYING: “These defenceless animals are treated like commodities, placed on a conveyor that delivers them to their death. Slaughterhouses are inherently unforgiving places and this systematic neglect – made all the worse by poorly designed equipment – causes even more distress for these terrified lambs and sheep,” says Abigail Penny, Acting Executive Director of Animal Equality UK.
WHAT COMES NEXT: We are calling on the Welsh Government to make CCTV mandatory in all slaughterhouses (as is already the case in England). We are also urging MPs across the UK to reinstate a law that was previously in place - and inexplicably revoked - to prevent animals from seeing other animals killed in front of them (given the immense psychological suffering that this causes). The Food Standards Agency must also take immediate action against Farmers Fresh Wales and their own officer who failed in his duties.
YOU CAN HELP: If you want to stop the suffering that takes place in slaughterhouses, join us in leaving animals off your plate. It has never been easier to choose plant-based options instead of meat (loveveg.com/compassionate-options). Also, please sign our petition (animalequality.org.uk/act/house-of-horrors) demanding justice for these vulnerable animals, and help us spread the word about this unimaginable cruelty by sharing this post.

Trainspotting at Stockport | 30/09/2019
This Video is Property of MT Productions!
2160p 4K HD!
Hello everyone, MT here with the usual trainspotting action. I haven’t done any filming at Stockport railway station for over a year even though that not much has changed. I thought at least pop over there to capture whatever appeared at the station. At first, I was unsure if the trip was going to be worth it but several minutes after I arrived, it did when the first of two freights appeared in the distance smoking. As well as the two freight trains, there was the standard passenger as well. Hope you all enjoy this!
