Oh Hello Trailer - Torch Theatre Company
Charles Hawtrey was one of the leading lights of the Carry On film franchise.
Bubbly, energetic and extremely funny Hawtrey was one of the best known comedy actors of the 40s, 50s and 60s but as his career waned so his behaviour became more drunken, promiscuous and eccentric losing him many friends in an age when male homosexuality in Britain was illegal and punishable by a prison sentence.
See him in this one-man show as he regales stories of 50 years in the film industry working with the likes of Alfred Hitchcock and starring in films including The Ghost of St Michael’s, Passport to Pimlico and a total of 21 Carry Ons. Hear of his hilarious run-ins with Kenneth Williams and his disdain of the Carry On producers as well as a complex relationship with his senile mother.
Oh Hello! first opened at the Torch Theatre, Milford Haven in November 2014, receiving a standing ovation at every performance. It has since gone on to perform at venues across Wales Cardiff and Assembly Hall, Edinburgh at the 2015 Fringe Festival. Written by Dave Ainsworth, directed by Peter Doran and performed by Jamie Rees the show has sold out every one of its performances so far, receiving four and five star reviews along the way and a prestigious Laurel Award at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe.
“Dave Ainsworth’s hit fringe tribute… Jamie Rees‘ finely tuned, sensitive performance…”
– Daily Mail
‘Incredibly skillful performance from Jamie Rees’.
– Sunday Express
“By turns bitchy, vulnerable and lonely, Rees’ Hawtrey rants with an ever present drink in hand… Sold out for the rest of its run, Carry On queueing for returns…”
– The Scotsman
“A tour-de-force performance by Jamie Rees captures the complex eccentricities of a comedy hero in this affectionate one-man portrait of Carry On star Charles Hawtrey.”

The Message
A low(ish) quality render of the short film The Message the prequel to the musical play Song which was performed by Ysgol Gyfun Emlyn performing arts students in summer 2012. The Message was screened each night of the performances before the play, with the ending of the film seguing into the beginning of the opening scene of Song.
The film was shot during the summer of 2011 with year 13 students who were to be unable to take part in Song itself, and two members of Newcastle Emlyn theatre group The Attic Players (Lizzie Bevan and Neil James).
Torch Theatre 'Grav' Trailer
n October 2007 Ray Gravell, a man who for many embodied what it is to be Welsh, passed away after succumbing to complications resulting from contracting diabetes. He was 56 years old.
Known to millions for his legendary exploits on the rugby field, ‘Grav’ was and is so much more than that. An actor, a cultural icon, a father, a husband, a man with a life packed full of stories that deserve to be heard once more.
The Torch Theatre Company presents Gareth Bale as ‘Grav’ in a play written by Owen Thomas that celebrates the man and the legend. With the blessing of Mari, Ray’s widow, and contributions from his Welsh and British Lions team mates, this one man show will explore the life of a man who was as fascinating away from the rugby field as he was on it.
Directed by the Torch Theatre’s Artistic Director Peter Doran, ‘Grav’ will remind the world once more of a unique life well lived and of a man who did so much more than eat soft centres.
This production is directed by Peter Doran, written by Owen Thomas and performed by Gareth Bale.

The Trials Of Oscar Wilde
Gan / By Merlin Holland a/and John O’ Connor
Cyflwynir trwy drefniant arbennig gyda / Presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, LTD
The triumphant opening night of The Importance of Being Earnest in 1895 was the zenith of Oscar Wilde’s career. Less than 100 days later he found himself jailed and bankrupt, sentenced by the Crown to two years hard labour for homosexuality. But what happened during the trials and what did Wilde say? Was he harshly treated or the author of his own downfall? Using the actual words spoken in court, we can feel what it was like to be in the company of a flawed genius - as this less than ideal husband was tragically reduced to a man of no importance.
Noson agoriadol orfoleddus The Importance of Being Earnest ym 1895 oedd uchafbwynt gyrfa Oscar Wilde. Ychydig wedi hynny, roedd yn y carchar, wedi ei ddedfrydu gan y Goron i lafur caled am fod yn hoyw. Ond beth a ddigwyddodd yn ystod y prawf a beth a ddywedodd Wilde? Gan ddefnyddio’r geiriau go iawn a lefarwyd yn y llys, mae Mappa Mundi yn rhoi cyfle i gynulleidfaoedd i weld yr Oscar go iawn am y tro cyntaf.

Official music video of Cimarrón performing “Orinoco Suite”, new single from new album Orinoco.
VIDEO BY Perromocho Films.
The group is leading a new wave of Colombian joropo music with their unique style, mixing Andalusian, indigenous and African roots with acoustic and electronic sounds. -GRAMMY (RECORDING ACADEMY).
“Orinoco is a materialization of time with a wide-ranging sound overflowing with a striking percussive harmony and stringed instruments such as the harp, which serve as the backbone of the album. An amalgam of their Andalusian, indigenous and African roots, the album swerves between the unique flexibility and vigor of Ana Veydó’s vocals, a commanding bass, the Peruvian cajón with strong flamenco nuances, the ocarina (vessel flute), the Brazilian surdo, and a fierce stomp from the plains”. -BILLBOARD.
“Orinoco is good both for listeners craving foundational folk music from the album's namesake valley and those who yearn for the fresh and contemporary. It also serves as a phenomenal sales pitch for seeing Cimarrón live as soon as possible. This is a group that deserves to have the energy feedback loop that only an enthusiastic live audience can provide”. -POP MATTERS.
