Theatre Royal Wakefield Horbury Storytelling Short
Theatre Royal Wakefield spent ten weeks with participants from Horbury Senior Citizen Group, developing storytelling techniques through game play and improvisation.
The group also took part in warm up games that introduced gentle, healthy movement and were encouraged to take a humorous, spontaneous approach to working together to create narratives. The resulting stories were a mixture of inventive fictions and real life cherished memories.
The project was commissioned by West Wakefield Wellbeing, in partnership with Yorkshire Health Charity and Nova Wakefield.
