Krauma Geothermal Bath in Iceland with 2Go Iceland Travel
2Go Iceland Travel team visited the new Geothermal complex near the hotspring Deildartunguhver. This is on the way to Husafell, West of Iceland. Perfect spot after any of the glacier tours in this area, and the sights from the West. On the video our main guide Gudni Kristinsson and 2Go Iceland Travel CEO Juan Carlos Suarez Leyva.

Sundlaug Hofsóss - Swimming pool in Northern Iceland

Iceland Vlog: Day 5 (Dettifoss, Selfoss and Asbyrgi Canyon)
Welcome to day 5 of our Iceland trip!
Day 5:
- We got up early and took the long drive to Dettifoss and Selfoss Waterfalls (Dettifoss is the waterfall in the opening sequence of Prometheus) The carpark is only a 5min walk and there are free toilets. The waterfalls themselves are about a 5 min walk from one to the other.
- Then we headed further North and went to see Asbyrgi Canyon, a horseshoe shaped canyon with beautiful views, a visitors centre and various walks/hikes that can be done.
- We drove to the nearby town of Husavik (40min drive) which is famous for whale hunting and whale watching and had some amazing traditional fish and chips, the cod had bee caught that very same day!
- We camped at a campground called Heirdarbaer about a 20min drive outside of Husavik.

Grjótagjá thermal springs - Iceland
Of all the stunning sights we saw in Iceland, this one topped them all. A co-worker of my brother-in-law's wife, Gwen, grew up on the farm where Grjótagjá is located. The word has only gotten out in the last few years about this area and it wasn't in any of our guidebooks. Interestingly, several scenes from the Game of Thrones were filmed in this area where John Snow spends time on the run with his Wildling girlfriend, Qhorin. There's one place to see the pool that's just starting to be accessible to the public but the best place to swim was a spectacular hike over lava fields and a couple of barbed-wire fences with no real trail to follow. It was a half-miracle that we found it. With plans in the works for commercial development it was a real treat to see this place in its virgin state.
Visiting Hraunfossar & Barnafoss Waterfalls and Krauma Geothermal Baths Iceland

A Geothermal Tour of the Ring Road in Iceland
Taking your kids to the geothermal pools in Iceland is a lot of fun. There are over 170 pools in Iceland. Pretty every village and town has one because they are a big part of Icelandic culture. Reykjavik, the capital, itself has more than 20. Many of these pools are very family-friendly with their own kiddie pools, water slides etc. For little children, armbands are freely available. For a small cost, you can rent lockers and towels etc. so that you don't need to worry about the small stuff.
Two of the most famous pools are The Blue Lagoon near Reykjavik and the Myvatn Nature Baths in Lake Myvatn (north Iceland). There are plenty of others as well that we visited. One of our favourites was in the tiny town of Hofsos which was built by the same architect as the Blue Lagoon. With an infinity-edge which looks out onto the fjord on which the town is perched, this pool is just beautiful.

North Iceland | Iceland: Road Trip Of A Lifetime | Shot On GoPro
North Iceland is here. This is probably the most exciting region of Iceland for me. The attractions here are so different from each other & each one is majestic in its own way.
Get inside the car because we are going to see waterfalls like Godafoss & Dettifoss. We are also going to see the different planet called Namafjall geothermal area. There is also going to be a short visit to the village of Hofsos & the monolith called Hvitserkur.
#TuneInToWCN & enjoy the natural beauty of North Iceland with us.
