Paranormal Light Anomaly at The Butte Theater
This anomaly was captured during filming of the PURE Paranormal Ghoul School investigation at the Butte Theater in Cripple Creek on Oct. 15th, 2010. A static detector had gone off and the videographer went to check it out. Watch the right side as he enters the dressing room. We tried to debunk and recreate this and found that it wasn't a bug or dust. It remains unknown.
The Challenge of Ideas
The 1961 short film, The Challenge of Ideas, narrated by Edward R. Murrow, depicts the ideological struggle confronting America and the free world during President John Kennedy's tenure . . . that was being fought . . . not on the battlefield but through the words of diplomats, gestures of friendship, cultural demonstrations, foreign aid, and military power. Famed personalities... John Wayne, Helen Hayes, Lowell Thomas, Hanson Baldwin, and Frank McGee also appear in this presentation to discuss the conflict between the democratic and communistic philosophies... a challenge that demanded the attention of all Americans . . . and none more so than the Cuban Missile Crisis that came to the brink of nuclear war between America and the Soviet Union.
Film produced by U.S. Army / Department of Defense
--------------
While the Soviet Union dissolved into independent countries with Russia becoming more democratic, The Challenge of Ideas remains hauntingly relevant 50 years later (2012) with even more global adversaries with diverse, antagonistic philosophies . . . as America experienced with the deadly terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 to its homeland. There is another difference too . . . as there are those undeterred by a response that could result in their annihilation . . . and who are willing to cause events that could kill millions of innocent people. It is an entirely different mindset today that is characterized as radical . . . and entrenched beyond diplomatic reasoning.
Will it still be so in 2061 . . . a 100 years after The Challenge of Ideas was filmed?

Rogue Reflections and MikeBlueHair Re visit The Ferry Terminal
I (Rogue Reflections) was honored to meet up with Mike Bluehair (Founder of Film the Police, Portland) and conduct a 1st and 2nd Amendment audit of the Washington State Ferry, Fauntleroy Terminal.
We (Mike Bluehair and I) agreed that he would walk the terminal, while I kept a look out for law-enforcement that might approach.
Once we both believed that we would not be approached and/or questioned by WSF personnel, we left left.
This video was originally produced and uploaded by Mike Bluehair and is available on his Youtube Channel.

The Infamous Stringdusters - Rockets [OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO]
ROCKETS is about the potential of youth and the blossoming of the human spirit, inspired by a group of young musicians in Boston. This is a heavy time in the history of our country and our planet, change is in the air, but this is our time, our opportunity to do great things and experience life while we are alive. We can be and do whatever we want, the range of potential experiences is like no other time in history. Like a rocket streaking through a silver sky toward endless space, there's almost limitless potential. That's what we're feeling as a group and what we've become about. - Travis Book, The Infamous Stringdusters

SUMMARY
=======
Colorado ( (listen), other variants) is a state of the Western United States encompassing most of the southern Rocky Mountains as well as the northeastern portion of the Colorado Plateau and the western edge of the Great Plains. It is the 8th largest geographically and 21st most populous U.S. state. The estimated population of Colorado was 5,607,154 on July 1, 2017, an increase of 11.49% since the 2010 United States Census. The state was named for the Colorado River, which early Spanish explorers named the Río Colorado for the ruddy silt the river carried from the mountains. The Territory of Colorado was organized on February 28, 1861, and on August 1, 1876, U.S. President Ulysses S. Grant signed Proclamation 230 admitting Colorado to the Union as the 38th state. Colorado is nicknamed the Centennial State because it became a state one century after the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence.
Colorado is bordered by Wyoming to the north, Nebraska to the northeast, Kansas to the east, Oklahoma to the southeast, New Mexico to the south, Utah to the west, and touches Arizona to the southwest at the Four Corners. Colorado is noted for its vivid landscape of mountains, forests, high plains, mesas, canyons, plateaus, rivers, and desert lands. Colorado is part of the western and southwestern United States, and is one of the Mountain States.
Denver is the capital and most populous city of Colorado. Residents of the state are known as Coloradans, although the antiquated term Coloradoan is occasionally used.Unlike its neighbors to the north, west and east, Colorado has been recognized as a strongly socially liberal state. Same-sex marriage in Colorado has been legal since 2014, and it was the second state in the U.S. (after Washington) to legalize recreational cannabis. The state is known for its progressive views on abortion and assisted suicide; Coloradans rejected a 2008 referendum that would have criminalized abortion, and approved a measure in 2016 that legalized assisted suicide in the state, and remains one of six states (along with the District of Columbia) to have legalized assisted suicide. In 2018, Colorado became the first state in the United States to elect an openly gay governor, Jared Polis, in the 2018 gubernatorial election.

This much-loved story follows a group of animal friends in the English countryside as they pursue adventure ... and as adventure pursues them! The chief characters - Mole, Rat, and Toad - generally lead upbeat and happy lives, but their tales are leavened with moments of terror, homesickness, awe, madcap antics, and derring-do.
Although classed as children's literature, The Wind in the Willows holds a gentle fascination for adults too. The vocabulary is decidedly not Dick and Jane, and a reader with a love of words will find new ones to treasure, even if well-equipped for the journey. Parents will appreciate the themes of loyalty, manners, self-restraint, and comradeship which are evident throughout the book. When the characters err, they are prompt to acknowlege it, and so a reading of this book can model good behavior to children, who will otherwise be enchanted with the many ways in which the lives of these bucolic characters differ from modern life.
This book was so successful that it enabled the author to retire from banking and take up a country life somewhat like that of his creations. It has been adapted for screen, stage, and even a ride at the original Disneyland.
